???'s POV
A thunderous crash echoed around the Dragon Tavern. Like two gods were fighting and wielding godly weapons that go boom when they hit against surfaces. The sound came from the Boiling Room. Zander and his compadres worried that Isis' brewing was going wrong.
"You think Miss Isis is OK in there, Zander?" Gidian questioned. Zander felt his wolf's genuine concern for the old witch.
Zander's eyes went blank as he soothed his wolf. "Isis is OK. She knows what she's doing."
Hazel bit on her nails as she focused on the loud banging that was causing the rocky surfaces to flake. "Maybe we should go see what's happening," The Luna suggested.
But in an outcry, Julia and Layla shouted in unison, "No!"
Julia, clearly blushing as she cleared some sweat from her nape with her palm.
"Why?" James wanted to know the reason they didn't want anyone disturbing Isis. The look that Julia gave him painted a scene that James now wish he could get out of his head. "I see."
"You see what?" Zander asked, lost with this conversation that he had a hard time understanding. But Hazel picked up on the situation.
"Babe, why don't we have something to eat? I can tell you are hungry." Hazel did an impressive job distracting her Alpha husband, but she couldn't keep his attention for long.
Scorch's sexual grunts filled the air, then Isis' orgasmic mewling tormented their eardrums.
"No!" Declan exclaimed. "Are they fuc—"
"Do not finish that question," Zander growled. "Layla, explain to me what that Dragon is doing to my witch in there?"
"Well, Alpha, it sounds like they are mating," Layla shrugged her shoulders. "I think Queen Julia calls it sex."
"Yes! Yes! Oh! Scorch, burn my witch pus—"
"Lalalalalalalala!" Zander stuck his fingers in his ears, refusing to listen to Isis sexually enjoying herself.
'Zander, but how did that thing fit in, Miss Isis?' Gidian was curious.
'I don't know, and I don't want to think about that,' Zander growled.
"Maybe I should take you all to get something to eat. The Meal Cave is this way," Layla gestured. They all followed the dragoness to the dining area. Most, if not all, of them no longer had an appetite.
TWO HOURS LATER
Dimitri felt parched, he was passed thirty. His throat ached from needing to drink blood. This feeling was alien to him. As a high-ranked vampire, he had never had the displeasure of starvation before. All his life, he had been pampered and spoiled like the prince he was. His muscles felt stiff as he tried to move his body.
"Bollocks!" He cursed, craning his neck as his ears picked up the tiny heartbeat next to him. He saw Slug Carson flipped on his back, oozing slug-goo and snoring.
"Isis," he called, his voice sounded like he had the entire Sharah Dessert shoved down his throat. He tried to swallow, but his mouth had no saliva to soothe his throat.
His vampire senses kicked in some more, getting acquainted with the surrounding when the smell of sex invaded his nose. The heat was maximizing the stench of the mix of bodily fluids, heightening the consistency.
His ears flushed as the sounds of thunder rumbled, his eyes followed the sound of two bodies rolling around on the ceiling. It was obvious what they were doing.
Scorch's wings flapped as his hands secured Isis to his torso, her feet, and hands held on to the dragon tight while he pumped thunder inside her.
In shock, Dimitri sat up, his eyes still glued on the two, unable to take his eyes off them. He wondered how they came to this junction. He looked away just as they reach their highs.
A few seconds later, they settled down on the ground. A naked Isis sighed in bliss as she slipped on her black dress and then her black robe. Dimitri was shocked at how fresh she now looked, like she shed 20 years from her appearance.
"Great, you're up," Isis greeted, unbothered. She sauntered over to the shrivelled, old version of Dimitri and grabbed his chin between her fingers. "You seem like you are seconds away from the grave, but it's because the fermented blood that the ghost clown fed you was supposed to have made you feral. You're probably feeling super thirsty right now." Isis examined him.
"Yeah, I am."
"Hmm, I guess I can give the slug his dose now, since I know the potion works."
Scorch stood there grinning at Isis. "That was the best —"
"I know, young dragon," Isis shooed him.
"Wait a minute," Dimitri croaked. "What did you mean earlier? Was I the test subject for your potion?" Dimitri was upset.
"I couldn't accidentally kill the strongest Alpha's beta now, could I?" she laughed.
"Point taken, at least I'm back to my old self again," Dimitri sighed, grabbing a broken mirror to look at his reflection, "Good God!" He raved as he looked at his crêpy skin.
His soggy skin was grey with age spots so dark he looked like a Dalmatian. Plus, he was wrinkled, so skinny his flesh stuck to his bones.
"My hair," he cried when he noticed the thin grey cobwebs on his almost bald head. He literally looked like he was over a century and a half years old. "I really need some blood so that I can be radiant again," he sighed.
"I have some human blood stashed in my bag. I will search for it shortly," Isis added while she squeezed some juice down Carson's throat.
"Thanks, but to regain my youthfulness, I'll need to drink directly from the vein."
"Well, in that case, you're on your own," Isis told him. Scorch hugged her from behind, whispering something that made her giggle. "Dimitri, I want you to keep an eye on Carson. I'll be back."
"Where are you going?"
"Scorch is going to show me the hot springs."
"Ah, I see. Have fun, Isis."
Scorch picked up Isis and ran off.
