                    Vivian POV:
"You can’t stop me!" I roared, my voice echoing through the swirling mists of the spirit realm.
"I won't let you hurt my son, my pack! Get out of my way!"
The sorcerer, a shadowy figure with eyes that burned like green fire, laughed, a cold, hollow sound that made my wolf bristle.
"You are a fool, Vivian," he sneered, his voice dripping with venom.
"You're weak, a prisoner in your own realm. You have no power here."
“Don’t underestimate me,” I snarled, my silver fur gleaming in the ethereal moonlight, my claws extended, my amber eyes blazing with a fury that could melt mountains.
“I may be trapped here, but I’m still a Magnus. And a mother’s love is a force you can’t comprehend."
We circled each other, our magic crackling in the air, the scent of ozone and decay thick and heavy.
The spirit realm itself seemed to tremble, the ethereal trees swaying, their leaves withering, as our powers clashed.
He attacked first, a bolt of dark energy shooting towards me.
I dodged it easily, my wolf’s agility, honed over centuries, making me a blur of motion.
“Is that the best you can do?” I taunted, my voice a low growl. “You call that magic?”
He snarled, his eyes flashing.
“You will regret this, Vivian.” He raised his hands, and shadowy tendrils reached for me, trying to bind me, to drain my energy.
I laughed, a sound that echoed with ancient power.
“You think those pathetic shadows can stop me? I’ve faced worse than you. I’ve battled demons, fought sorcerers, and defied the very laws of nature. I’m not afraid of you.”
I met his attack head-on, my own magic, a blend of silver light and primal energy, shattering his shadows, pushing back the darkness.
I could feel the strength of my wolf, the love for my son, fueling my power, making me stronger than I’d ever been.
“He’s weakening, Vivian.” My wolf voice, a whisper in my mind, was full of a fierce determination. “He’s afraid of you. He can sense your power.”
I pressed my attack, forcing him back, my claws raking his shadowy form, drawing a hiss of pain.
“You can’t win, sorcerer,” I snarled. “Damien is gone, and his power is fading. You’re fighting a losing battle. Give up, and I might spare your pathetic life.”
“Damien is not gone,” he hissed, his voice full of malice.
“He’s found a new vessel, a new champion. And his plans are already in motion. Your son, your precious omega… they are both doomed.”
His words, a chilling echo of the warning I’d received from Damien's messenger, sent a wave of fear through me.
But I wouldn’t let it control me. Not now. Not when Rowan and Catrina needed me.
“You lie,” I growled, my voice a dangerous rumble. “Damien is gone. And I won’t let you hurt my son, or his mate.”
“You’re blind, Vivian,” he sneered.
“Blinded by your love, your foolish hope. You can’t see the truth. Damien’s power is everywhere. He’s pulling the strings, manipulating events, setting the stage for his return. And your son, your precious Rowan… he’ll be the one to bring about his own destruction.”
His words, a prophecy of doom, stabbed at my heart. I shook my head, refusing to believe him.
"No," I said, my voice firm.
"I won't let that happen. I’ll stop him. I'll protect my son. I’ll protect Catrina.”
" you… you’re trapped here. A powerless spirit, a faded memory. You can’t save anyone, not even yourself.” he hissed, his voice a venomous whisper.
His words cut deep, twisting the knife of my grief, my loss. But I wouldn’t let him break me. I wouldn’t let him win.
"I'm not powerless," I snarled, my magic flaring, a wave of silver light that pushed him back, forcing him to shield his eyes. "I'm a Magnus. And I will fight for my family, even from beyond the grave. I will protect Rowan, even if it’s the last thing I do."
"You’re a fool, Vivian," he hissed, but his voice wavered, a flicker of fear in his eyes.
He could sense my power, the strength of my love, the rage that fueled my magic.
“You think you can stand against Damien? Against the forces he commands? You’re nothing but a pawn in his game, a tool to be used and discarded.”
“I’m not a pawn, sorcerer,” I roared, my silver fur bristling, my claws extended.
“I’m a mother. And I’ll tear you apart if you threaten my son again.”
We clashed again, our magic colliding, a blinding explosion of light and shadow, the very air around us vibrating with power.
I could feel the spirit realm straining, the fabric of reality threatening to tear.
“You’re weakening this realm, Vivian,” he growled, his voice strained.
“You’re risking everything. For what? For a son who doesn't even remember you? For an omega who’s destined to be his downfall?”
“My love for Rowan is stronger than your magic, sorcerer,” I snarled, my voice echoing with Lyra’s strength, a mother’s fierce love that burned brighter than any darkness.
“And I won't let you harm him. I won't let you win.”
He laughed again, a hollow, mocking sound. "We'll see about that, Vivian. We'll see who wins in the end."
He vanished, melting back into the shadows, leaving me standing alone in the swirling mists, the echoes of his laughter, his threats, ringing in my ears.
He’s right, Vivian. We’re playing a dangerous game. Lyra’s voice was a soft whisper, a worried sigh. Damien is stronger than ever. And his plans… they’re far from over.
Fear, cold and sharp, gripped me. But I couldn’t give in. I had to find a way to reach Catrina, to help her awaken her powers, to guide her, to protect her.
Rowan’s life, the fate of our pack, maybe even the future of our world, depended on it.
And I, a mother, a Luna, a spirit wolf bound by a promise, a love that transcended lifetimes… I wouldn't fail them. Not this time.
