                    Catrina's POV:
Brock’s words and those awful pictures were just too much.
My heart felt like it was breaking into a million pieces.
How could Rowan do this to me? To us?
Brock lunged at me, his fist raised, and I squeezed my eyes shut, bracing for the pain.
But it never came. The stress, the heartbreak… It was all too much. The world went black, and I collapsed.
When I woke up, I was in the back of a truck, my arms and legs tied together.
Panic surged through me as I realized what had happened.
Brock had kidnapped me! He’d taken me away from the Mondragon pack!
“No!” I croaked, my voice weak and scratchy. “Rowan, I need you!”
But Rowan was gone, and I was trapped with my crazy ex-boyfriend.
“Don’t worry, Catrina,” Brock’s voice came from the front seat, smooth and creepy.
“I’m taking you far away from all this werewolf stuff. You and the baby will be safe with me.”
I strained against the ropes, fear pumping through me.
“Brock, let me go! You can’t do this!”
He chuckled, and it sent chills down my spine.
“Oh, I can, Catrina. And I will. I’m not letting those wolves take you away again.”
Tears welled up in my eyes. Brock was truly nuts, and he was serious about keeping me away from Rowan and the pack.
“Please, Brock,” I begged, my voice shaking.
“Think about what you’re doing. This isn’t right—”
“Shut up!” he shouted.
“I’m doing this for you! Don’t you see? Those wolves, they’ve changed you, turned you against me. But I’m going to save you, no matter what.”
I shook my head, my heart pounding. “
You’re wrong, Brock. Rowan is my mate, my destiny. And I won’t abandon him or our baby. No matter what you do.”
He growled in frustration.
“We’ll see about that, Catrina. By the time I’m done with you, you’ll be begging me to take you away from those wolves.”
He’s delusional. I thought, anger burning through the fear.
He really thinks he can make me love him? That he can erase my bond with Rowan?
“You’ll never break our bond, Brock,” I said fiercely.
“Nothing you do can change that.”
He laughed, a cold, empty laugh that sent shivers down my spine.
“We’ll see about that, Catrina. We’ll see.”
The rest of the drive was silent and tense.
Brock kept glancing at me in the rearview mirror, his eyes full of a creepy possessiveness.
I pulled at the ropes, my mind racing.
Where was he taking me? What was he going to do?
The sun was setting when the truck finally stopped.
Brock jumped out and came around to the back. I held my breath, my body tense with fear.
“Alright, Catrina,” he said, his voice low and serious.
“We’re here. Time to start a new life, far away from those wolves.”
I glared at him, fear turning to anger.
“I’m not going anywhere with you, Brock. Rowan will come for me, and when he does, you’ll be sorry.”
He leaned in, his face inches from mine.
“You’re wrong, Catrina. Rowan’s not coming. And even if he does, I’ll be ready for him.”
He reached out and touched my cheek, and I flinched back, disgusted.
“Don’t touch me,” I spat, my voice full of venom.
“I’ll never be yours, not after what you’ve done.”
His eyes narrowed, and for a second, I saw something truly crazy in them.
“Once we’re settled in, you’ll see things my way.”
He untied the ropes and pulled me roughly out of the truck.
I stumbled, my legs shaky, but I refused to show him how scared I was.
“Where are you taking me?” I asked, looking around.
We were at some abandoned warehouse, far from the Mondragon pack lands.
He grinned, his eyes bright with a crazy light.
“Somewhere safe, Catrina. Somewhere no one will ever find you.”
A chill ran down my spine. Brock was obsessed, and he would do anything to keep me from the pack.
“Brock, please,” I whispered, tears stinging my eyes.
“Don’t do this. Rowan will never forgive you. And neither will I.”
He laughed, the sound echoing through the empty warehouse.
“Forgive me? You already have, Catrina. You just don’t know it yet.”
He grabbed my arm, his grip like a vise, and panic flooded me.
“No! Let go of me!”
But he ignored me, dragging me deeper into the warehouse.
I fought back, but it was no use. He was stronger.
We reached a dark room, and he finally let go, but the look in his eyes terrified me.
“Welcome home, Catrina,” he said, his voice low and menacing.
“Get comfortable. You’re not going anywhere.”
I looked around, my heart sinking. The room was bare, and the door had heavy locks.
This wasn’t a hiding place—it was a prison.
“Brock, you can’t do this,” I whispered, my voice trembling.
“I have to get back to the pack! They need me!” His face hardened.
“The only pack you need is me, Catrina. I’m going to take care of you and the baby. We’re going to be a family. The way it was supposed to be.”
I shook my head, tears streaming down my face.
“No! You’re wrong! Rowan is my mate, the only one for me. And I’ll never stop fighting to get back to him.”
He smiled cruelly.
“You’ll realize soon enough that I’m the only one who really loves you.”
I flinched away, my heart racing.
“You’re not in love, Brock. You’re obsessed. And I’ll never be part of it.”
His eyes flashed dangerously.
“We’ll see about that, Catrina. You won’t have a choice.”
He turned and walked to the door, pausing to look back at me.
“Get comfortable. You’re not going anywhere until I say so.”
The door slammed shut, the sound echoing through the empty room. Despair washed over me.
I was trapped, alone, with no way to reach Rowan or the pack.
He's gone crazy. I thought, fear wrapping around me like a cold shroud.
He really believes this… that we’re going to be some twisted little family.
I put my hand on my stomach, my protective instincts flaring.
I have to get out of here. For my baby, for Rowan…
A new wave of determination surged through me. I wouldn't let Brock win.
I wouldn’t let him break me.
I would find a way to escape, to get back to Rowan, to my real family.
I started searching the room, looking for any way out.
As the hours passed, I kept searching, my resolve growing stronger.
I would do whatever it took to get back to Rowan, to my pack, with the Mondragons.
Nothing would stop me.
