Yuki's POV
I looked at Tamara, who was in my room, then at Akira. I understood that Tamara had something weighing on her mind because whenever she felt sad or there was something bothering her, she came to stay for hours in my room. But then why was Akira here as well?
"Fine, I'll assume you both have something weighing on your mind, so out with it already," I said seriously as they both looked at each other and then sighed heavily.
"Talk already or are you here to just sigh?" I asked and then rolled my eyes in annoyance.
They looked at me and then lowered their gaze to the floor. They were annoying me so much in my very own space!
Not so long ago, Kyle helped me unpack and put everything in place. He then left and promised to come and check up on me whenever he was free. As much as I hated to admit it, I was really looking forward to his visit, and them being in my room doing nothing but sighing was going to get in the way of spending time with my mate.
"Fine, since you both won't share what's bothering you, I will share with you what's on my mind and what's been bothering me," I said and then took a deep breath.
"Kyle and I are not going to act as mates, that's because we have decided to start off as just friends," I said as they looked at me with stunned expressions on their faces.
"Are you insane?" Tamara asked seriously.
"No, what's insane is him being in love with you," I answered honestly.
She quickly shifted her gaze to the side.
"I'm so sorry, Yuki. I had no idea that he liked me in that kind of way. I always thought of him as a big brother, nothing more. When he said all those things to Lui and Larson, that's when I realized that he liked me in that way," she said softly.
I knew Tamara wasn't at fault because if she did have feelings for him, she would have been talking about him all these years or showed it when she had met him again. But then again, maybe I was wrong because she also hid Larson, her mate, from me,her best friend.
"Anyway, it's not your fault," I whispered.
"Don't worry, I promise to treat him coldly and to stay away from him," she said when she looked at me.
"Don't treat him or Lui coldly, it will be hard for both of them. Just know the line you shouldn't cross," I warned.
"Of course," she answered quickly.
"So me asking him to be friends is not because I hate him. I want him to need and want me from the bottom of his heart. Right now he thinks he wants me because I am his mate, not because he likes me or wants a future with me. I know it doesn't make much sense, but I will know when he does truly want me," I said as Akira smiled.
"You just met him, Yuki. You will need time to get to know each other better," she said as I nodded sadly.
"I know that, but I wanted him to just need me like the very air we breathe on our very encounter. It's silly, but it's how I felt. Finding out that he has feelings for you and seeing how he reacted made me bitter.For a second, I wanted to push him away and let him be alone, but then my wolf wanted us to at least get to know him better. That's why I suggested we be friends. So from today on, we are going to be just friends, but that doesn't mean I won't kill any bitch who gets in my way," I answered and then smiled as they all looked at me with serious expressions.
"What?" I asked.
"You look so evil right now," Akira answered as I laughed softly.
"Sorry about that. So Tamara, why did you keep Larson a secret from us?" I asked.
She hesitated but spoke up.
"He hated me and never wanted me. He was about to reject me when I ran away, refusing to hear it. His reason for not wanting me was that I had no sex appeal and that I was just a spoiled brat he hated," she said and then smiled as tears filled her eyes.
Even after all those years, I could hear the pain in her voice and see it on her face.
"Where the hell is he? I will punch his stupid face!" I yelled loudly.
"Yuki, you can't! He is a Beta," Akira said seriously.
"So what? My twin brother is an Alpha, and if he does lay a finger on any of us, he is dead," I answered at the top of my voice.
"Thank you, Yuki, but you don't have to hold me down. I am very much capable of handling him. Now things are different from back then, and the tables have turned wonderfully," she said as I frowned.
"What do you mean?" I asked curiously.
"He was in my room when I was thinking of unpacking, and well... He made a move on me," she answered as I widened my eyes.
"What?" I asked loudly.
"He was acting differently from how I remembered him. When he stepped into my room, he began kissing me like it was the end of the world, and well... I wanted to push him away but I couldn't. Then it hit me, why not make him fall in love with me and then dump him.He would then experience and feel how I felt," she answered with a smile.
I wanted to tell her how her plan would either end up badly or backfire, but I couldn't do it because she looked so happy. I preferred seeing her like this than how she was a few minutes ago.
"You go, girl, make him fall so deeply in love and then end it all. After all, he never deserved you to begin with. If he was kind to you, I would have favored him a bit. Right, Akira?" I asked as she shook her head slightly.
"Akira," I called again, this time more strongly.
"Yes, he deserves to be dumped now that you look even sexier," she answered as I smiled widely.
She was thinking the same thing as I was. We both knew how it would end up being messy.
"Now, Akira, it's your turn," I said as she hesitated too.
"I decided to give your brother the cold shoulder. To be honest, I want to avoid him for as long as I can. After talking it through and deciding he wouldn't act up, he did, and that hurt me so much," she answered.
I wanted to take Lui's side, but then again, what he did was no different from my own mate. They both deserved to learn.
"Fine, let's give our mates what they deserve then," I said as they all smiled at me.
It was going to be stupid, but then that was going to be our way of teaching them a lesson.
