Larson's POV
It has been a long time since I saw Kyle this furious. His eyes were switching between his and his wolf's. It was taking everything in him to keep calm because Yuki wanted nothing to do with him.
When she ran away and was nowhere to be seen, he was more than ready to bring hell to everyone.
"Why was I dragged into this situation?" I asked him seriously, and his response was:
"Because you are my fucking Beta."
I was very upset with him and Tamara for days, so I avoided them. He knew that, and he seemed to respect my decision. That's why I was shocked when he walked into my room, ordered me to fix everything between me and Tamara, and then walked out.
At first, I was confused because he was the one who needed to fix things between us. But then he looked so upset; that's why I went to Akira to understand the situation better. That's when I found out what had happened.
To keep him calm and in control, I had to call Lee and ask for his help.
Kyle was very similar to his father (Uncle Ian); whenever he was upset and his wolf took over, it was hard to calm him down or reason with him.
When Lee came over, Akira explained the situation to him, and he looked at us in disappointment before making a tracking spell that located Yuki. She was hiding close to the pack's border.
Kyle, Tamara, and Lui wanted to go to her side, but Lee asked them not to. He told them that he was going to be the one to bring her back and asked us all to let her rest for a few days without anyone talking to her or disturbing her peace, which we all agreed to after some hesitation.
When a day went by, the only one who could go into her room was Nana. She went to her room to either give her food or talk to her. We were all concerned about her and wanted to check up on her; sadly, we didn't want to go against Lee's advice. And so, a few days went by just like that.
"Did you ask him to keep everything a secret?" I asked Kyle, knowing very well that he would tell Felix about this, and she wouldn't waste time taking Tamara back.
"Do you think I would think about that in this situation, Larson? All I want is to be next to my mate, my fucking mate, that's all!" he yelled coldly and then walked out of the living room, leaving me alone.
I slowly moved back and sat down on the couch.
"Is everything my fault?" I asked my wolf silently.
"Did I overreact when Tamara said those words to me?" I asked loudly.
Perhaps I was supposed to cry in silence and get over the hurt I felt. If I had done that, I wouldn't have taken out my anger on Kyle, and he wouldn't have approached Tamara. Yuki wouldn't have heard their conversation, and she wouldn't have run away.
I quickly got to my feet when Tamara walked in.
She looked very pale, and her eyes had dark circles under them.
I was about to move when she shook her head, stopping me.
"Uncle Ian and the rest are attending a fundraising party in human territory, and I think they won't be coming back soon because they will be enjoying their much-needed vacation," she said in a low tone, then sighed heavily.
We all knew that because they had said their goodbyes before they left.
"I didn't want to go without saying my goodbye to them; sadly, I can't wait until they return," she said, confusing me.
"What are you talking about?" I asked seriously, then quickly turned and looked at the portal that had appeared a few meters from me.
When Felix stepped out with a pissed expression on her face, my heart instantly picked up.
"Lee! How could he not shut his mouth? Did he have to screw us over like that?"
"Mother, thank you so much for coming," Tamara said softly, and then walked past me to hug her.
"Of course! When you called, I was so happy, and when you asked me to come and get you, I couldn't wait another second," she answered, then looked at me.
"You called her?" I asked Tamara in disbelief.
She looked at me and then nodded.
"What about Yuki?" I asked loudly.
"What about me?" I asked in silence.
"She doesn't want to see me, and I know Lui said she would understand because he thinks he knows her best when he doesn't. She won't easily forgive me no matter what I say," she answered.
I wanted to stop her, but then what could I offer her when she didn't even want me? I heard it all from Akira about how she confessed her love to Kyle. She wanted him, and I was just an eyesore to look at.
"I wish you a happy and safe life," I said honestly, and that seemed to shock both her and Felix.
"Right, you too," she answered in a cracked voice and then walked into the portal.
Felix looked at me seriously and then shook her head.
"You sure are dumb," she said, and then turned and walked into the portal, which shortly vanished.
My heart was hurting badly, and my wolf's whimpers weren't helping me at all.
I weakly sat down and moved my hands to my head.
It was over; it really was all over. It wasn't a rejection I got, but she still chose to leave my side, which meant she made her final decision.
"Are you crying?" Lui asked when he walked in.
I moved my hands to my cheeks and noticed that they were wet. I had no idea I was crying, and I felt so confused, lonely, and lost that I couldn't even think straight.
I stood up and walked to him, standing in front of him.
"Lui, do you truly care about your sister?" I asked huskily.
"What kind of question is that? You know damn well I do," he answered seriously.
"Then leave this pack before my father, mother, aunt, and uncle return. When they find out about what happened, Kyle will be badly punished. Your sister won't be there to comfort him because she will still be upset with him," I said, then moved my hand to his shoulder.
"Tamara already left and went to her parents' house; that means she wants nothing to do with any of us," I said seriously.
"I don't believe you," he whispered, and then quickly pulled out his cellphone from his pocket and called her.
When she picked up, I waited patiently as they talked. After a few minutes, he dropped his cellphone on the floor with a shocked expression.
"See, I told you," I whispered, and then wiped away my tears.
"Kyle and I were very happy before you guys came here. Now we have drifted apart, and we have experienced so much anger, hurt, and sadness because of you all. Yuki wants time to think and be alone, but so do we. That's why, if you really have any sort of respect for Kyle and our pack, you will leave quietly and give us the needed time to think things through," I said seriously and then walked past him.
If he was wise, he wasn't going to think twice about my suggestion and leave, because that was what was best for us all.
