Diaz's POV
"What exactly do you want to hear from me?" I asked lazily.
"Everything," Amelia answered strongly.
I rolled my eyes and then looked at Ian coldly.
"There is no need to mind-link each other, so I'll be frank, Amelia," I said seriously.
"Please," she whispered.
"Your mate is a thorn in my side," I said.
Twin Delta warriors were about to move when Ian raised his hand, and they stopped in their tracks.
"I'm glad because you will soon bleed from my fists," he answered with a smirk.
"Ian, I would like to give you that satisfaction, but I won't, because I am not here to seriously fight," I said honestly.
"And yes, most of you in this room are a nuisance, and most of you are a pest to us. But then there are those like her," I pointed at the ancient witch and then moved my hand to the female dragon.
"Who we consider useful and very powerful," I said, then sat down.
"I can see you hate me," I pointed out the obvious.
"You think? They want you dead," Amelia answered.
"Fair enough, but I am talking right now, so just listen," I said as the purebred stood up.
"Ian, let me kill this piece of shit already," she said, her fangs showing as I burst out into laughter.
"You think you can kill me, an Alpha king?" I asked in disbelief.
"Damn right, with me by her side," a redhead answered.
He looked pissed off at my words.
Just by looking at him, I could tell what he was.
Fairies were very friendly and peaceful beings.
But then there were those who were evil, and some were absolutely powerful.
He seemed like a chill guy, but that didn't mean he was weak. After witnessing what their ancient witch could do, I didn't want to underestimate him.
"Fine, I do apologize for my rude behavior," I forced out the words that seemed to shock and surprise everyone.
"Do you think we are stupid to believe those words?" the purebred asked seriously.
"Of course not, because I didn't mean them, but I do mean it when I say I need your help," I answered as Ian laughed mockingly.
"Right, as in mental help," he said, as Ezra growled furiously.
"Amelia, my brother does tell the truth; we really need your help, and you are the only one who can help us," Mariana said seriously.
"I open my mind and heart to your witch to see what exactly we are talking about," she said.
"That won't be necessary," Damon answered, then looked at the door.
A young lady walked in and went to his side, standing beside him.
"This here is my daughter Beth, who's been away for some time and is rarely around because she attends a special camp in order to learn more about her ability. But if there is something she is good at, it is seeing," he said as I frowned.
Did he mean she was a Seer!
"The Alpha queen has no evil or bad intentions. Her story was true too; she went through so much with the Alpha king that forced a marking on her, but the brother, on the other hand, lies," she said as I glared at her.
"He was indeed captured, but he was also the cause of his own father's death," she said as Mariana looked at me with widened eyes.
"He made a deal with the Alpha king, who ambushed their pack. The deal was for him to only get his sister in exchange for riches and new territories," she said as I stood up.
"Lies," I yelled.
"What he didn't expect was for that Alpha king to backstab him. Since he was as selfish as him, he burned his pack down, got his sister as a slave, and imprisoned him for years," she said as I furiously tried to attack her with a loud growl but found my body unable to move.
"Brother, is she telling the truth?" Mariana asked seriously.
"No, sister, I can never do that. You know how I cherished you and our father," I screamed.
"You never cherished her; you were actually annoyed and saw her as a dumb pet, didn't you?" she asked as I shook my head.
"She was so obedient to you that she helped you kill the Alpha King and his warriors only to free you from your shackles. You used her for your own revenge, and you have been using her even after she thought she had gained her freedom, haven't you?" she asked.
"No, you lie," I growled out.
"You are here because your one and only mate, who is supposed to love you forever, attempted suicide more than once and escaped your grasp because of your evil deeds," she said as Ezra took over and growled loudly, shaking the whole place.
"You have been searching for her for months, and yet you have no idea where she could be. You came here because you heard how this pack is the library of all territories," she said.
"You need help, but you knew we would easily learn who you are and how cruel you really are. That's why you decided to look into Aunt Amelia," she said.
"Why not look into her when your father spoke lovingly about his dear sister? If you were to use that to your advantage, Amelia would speak on your behalf because she was close friends with this pack. Wasn't that your goal and thoughts?" she asked as I took over.
"Little girl, you have made a big mistake because if I do move, I will cut you into little pieces and enjoy the flow of your blood on the floor," I threatened as Mariana stood up and moved closer.
"Sister, kill her for me," I ordered as she smiled.
"Of course, brother, it was always about you, never me. How could I not see it when it was very clear?" she whispered as I frowned.
"Mariana, what are you talking about?" I asked.
"The night of the ambush, you had no blood on your clothes, not even a spot. How was that possible if you were fighting to defend our territory? You never shed tears, even when you saw our father dead!" she screamed.
"Back then, I thought it wasn't manly. My goodness, I was dumb. Even when we acquired our freedom, you chose for me what to wear, how to act, and when to respond," she said with tears in her eyes.
"You even made me believe that you being harsh to your mate was a way of showing love and discipline. But look at Amelia, brother! She has no scars or burn marks on her body, yet her mate loves her. We can both see his actions clearly!" she screamed, pissing me off.
"So what? Do you now believe in fairy tales? There is no good without bad, little sis!" I screamed at her.
"You were a little weak runt who couldn't even walk straight! I made you who you are today, and I deserve a thank you. You are stronger now and more obedient than you were in the past...."
I cut my sentence short in disbelief, widening my eyes in shock and pain as I coughed up blood.
I looked at her claws in my chest, then at her, with blurred vision from tears.
"Go to hell!" she screamed as I howled in excruciating pain when she dug her claws deeper.
"What exactly do you want to hear from me?" I asked lazily.
"Everything," Amelia answered strongly.
