                    ELLE'S POV
The moment I finished signing the document, a smirk cracked through my icy facade. My eyes lingered on my name at the bottom of the page—the final stroke that sealed my ownership of King Corporation.
The room was dead silent, every pair of eyes locked on me.
I leaned back in his chair—Cain's chair—and watched as fury twisted his expression. He was barely holding it together, his knuckles white from how tightly he clenched his fists.
Deliberately avoiding his gaze, I set the pen down with a quiet click.
"Now, Mr. Blackwood," I said, my voice smooth as silk but laced with poison, "since the sale is finalized, I suggest you and Aliya gather your things and get out. You're no longer welcome here."
The board members exchanged glances, some relieved, others stunned, all waiting to see Cain's reaction.
"How?" Cain hissed under his breath.
I tilted my head. "Excuse me?"
"How did you pull this off?" His voice was raw, barely controlled. "I made sure you had nothing. Where the hell did you get the money?"
A slow, knowing smile curled my lips as I stepped closer, lowering my voice just for him. "That was your first mistake. You underestimated me. And now?" I let the words sink in. "Now, I own everything you tried to steal."
Aliya let out a sharp, bitter laugh. "This is a joke. You think you can just waltz in here and take what's ours?"
I turned to her, my gaze glacial. "Oh, sister," I drawled, clicking my tongue. "Did you really think you'd get away with everything?"
She stiffened, taking an instinctive step back. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Without breaking eye contact, I reached into my purse and tossed a file onto the table. Papers spilled out—photos, bank statements, damning reports I'd spent months collecting.
Cain snatched one up. It was a shot of Aliya speaking to a group of men near a black van—the same men she'd sent to kidnap me.
"Aliya?" Cain's voice was lethally quiet.
I crossed my arms, watching the realization dawn on his face. So, he hadn't known. Aliya had played him too.
The tension in the room was suffocating.
Cain whipped toward her. "Is this true?" He hurled the photo at her.
Aliya's mouth opened, her eyes wild with panic. "She's lying, Cain! I don't—"
I laughed, tipping my head back. "I have witnesses. Security footage. And oh—" I leaned in. "That nurse at the hospital? She knows everything about the pills."
Aliya went ghostly pale. Cain recoiled like he'd been struck.
"What the hell are you talking about, Elle?" he demanded, still trying to play dumb.
"You lied to me," Cain snarled, his voice shaking with rage. "You used me."
Aliya spun toward him, desperate. "I did it for us! She was going to ruin everything! I just wanted to stop her before—"
She reached for him, but Cain shoved her away like she was diseased. "You built nothing but lies."
I watched, satisfaction curling in my chest, as their alliance crumbled.
Then, in a flash, Aliya turned on me, her face twisted with hate. "You think this is over? You think you've won?"
I stepped forward, my voice steel. "Oh, I know I've won." Turning to the board, I declared, "Effective immediately, Aliya is banned from all company property. If she steps foot in this building again, she'll be arrested."
The board nodded in unison.
Aliya let out a broken laugh, a tear streaking down her face. "You little bitch!"
I smiled coldly. "Don't raise your voice at me."
Security stormed in, grabbing her arms.
Cain didn't move—just watched her with pure disgust.
Aliya thrashed, screaming as they dragged her away. "This isn't over! I swear—"
Suddenly, she wrenched free and lunged at me. I barely had time to flinch before someone caught her wrist and shoved her back.
I turned—James.
His grip on her was iron, his voice a dangerous growl.
"Don't you ever touch her again."
