Lena POV:
"She can't be the one. You must be mistakening her for someone else," I said, shaking my head in denial he pulled out his phone showing me who was attacking us.
"Are you saying I'm lying? I don't even know you have an idea of who this is. Who is she to you?" Domino said, his voice unnaturally calm and it sent chills of uncertainty in my veins.
"She's my best friend. We have known each other for years now, she have been the reason I haven't lost my sister till now. So what you are saying right now can't be possible."
He smiled and pulled back without giving me a warning, just then we crashed into another log at the back.
Yeah, that's it. Someone is trying to make me hate Emily but it won't work until I see Emily pointing a fucking damm gun at me..
Even then I won't believe she would be to betray the trust and love I have for her. No, she's like an older sister to me and I know she was being blackmailed or forced to do this as the expenses of losing someone very dear to her heart. I would understand, she's not like that.
"Can you stop drifting far? You are totally oblivious as to what's happening here right now," he said, and I looked out of the window with confusion in my eyes.
And I saw Emily looking at me with a smile on her face, I opened the car without telling Domino but he was faster in getting hold of me before my feet would touch the ground.
"Why won't you listen to me for once and know if I'm lying or trying to deceive you. What the fuck is wrong with you?" Domino asked, while putting on the child lock.
"I can't believe you would stoop this low in trying to make me bit the hand that fed me when I had no idea of whom you are. I can't wait to get over with this pregnancy and get away from a man like you. You disgust me."
I was raving with anger and I didn't mean those words, I just wanted to hurt him a bit and let him feel the brunt of what he have been doing to me without feeling remorseful.
"Okay. You can go down now and meet your best friend. I'm a fucking monster for trying to keep you away from her. Don't call me though."
And the locks got unlocked, I waited for a second trying to understand why he was suddenly letting me go. I scoffed remembering I would get dune with Emily until his child is born.
Better still I would elope with it, and he won't seee the child ever again as I would be leaving the entire continent to someone he won't even bother looking for me there.
"What are you waiting for? Leave with your best friend, I would be back for my child once you are ready to conceive."
I felt sad that he wasn't even trying to understand how u fell about Emily, she was like the second part of my soul--my sister being the first.
"You never try to listen. Bye."
And with that I stepped out, watching his expression to see if any emotion would come on them but nothing. He was as passive as ever and that when I realized that my words were too hurtful. He was trying to act tough, but u can recognize those looks.
I have been there when my sister said horrible things to me when she was in pain.
Running back to him and he swerved his car and went off without giving me an chance.
I always ruin everything and everyone that comes close to me.
Looking back at Emily, but the smile had disappeared from her face, she was looking at Domino's disappearing car with anger and her fists were clenching.
"Emily, he said you are a bad person. I can't believe that, you are not and that's why he left me here with you. Can you imagine...... "
I was taken aback when some men crept out of the woods, looking around with determination. Then followed with confusion.
"Where is he? Don't tell me he escaped or you fucking changed your mind and let him go?" A female voice said, I was trying to process what was happening.
"This little brat ruined everything!" Emily snapped, rushing for me as she kicked my stomach sending m falling to the floor with an immeasurable pain.
Wait! What's happening? Domino can't be right, this is a bad dream that I must wake up from before I get traumatized.
"What did she do?" The female asked again, this time her voice was calm and softer like she was trying hard not to get Emily pissed.
"I can swear that I did nothing wrong to her.
Emily it's me Lena. I fought and said horrible things to him because of you. He said you are a bad person, but I can never believe that. You are not, you have been the one taking care of my sister and I. Please stop scaring me, I would understand if you are annoyed now," I pleaded, trying to get up to my feet so I could kneel and apologize to her properly.
"Tessy. Please, can you ask that old hag to stop talking as her voice irritates the hell out of me. I don't want to hear her talking or I would pull this trigger and end her already miserable life."
Tessy shot a look filed with disgust and hate, I didn't need to be told that this was a fucking bad idea to get away from Domino.
I should have listened to him and I wouldn't have found myself in this, I know she would hurt me back to. But I deserve to know what I did to get her all hateful of me. This was so strange and unsettling.
"What did I do?”
"You took what's mine.”
