Olivia
I should move. I should carefully extract myself from his grip and slide to the other side of the bed. That would be the sensible thing to do.
But I didn't move. I couldn't. The feeling of his massive cock nestled against me was doing things to my brain, short-circuiting all rational thought.
His breath was warm against my neck, each exhale sending shivers down my spine. I bit my lip to keep from making a sound as his arm tightened slightly around my waist, pulling me closer in his sleep.
"Jesus," I whispered, barely audible.
My nipples had hardened to stiff peaks, and I could feel wetness gathering between my thighs. This was ridiculous. I'd broken up with Ryan less than a month ago, and here I was, getting turned on by my boss's morning wood.
Alexander shifted behind me, his cock sliding against the curve of my ass. I froze, terrified he was waking up, but his breathing remained deep and even.
I let out a slow breath, trying to calm my racing heart. Think about something else, anything else. Tax returns. Traffic jams. That awkward presentation I'd fumbled last month.
Nothing worked. All I could focus on was the feeling of Alexander's body molded against mine, his heat seeping through the thin fabric of my tank top and shorts.
I closed my eyes, willing myself to relax. Maybe if I just lay here quietly, I'd eventually fall back asleep. Morning would come, we'd both wake up, and I could pretend this never happened.
With that plan in mind, I tried to match my breathing to Alexander's slow, steady rhythm. In and out. In and out. The sound of waves crashing against the rocks below created a soothing backdrop, and gradually, my eyelids grew heavy.
I must have drifted off because the next thing I knew, sunlight was streaming through the windows. Alexander's arm was still draped over me, his body curled protectively around mine. I blinked sleepily, momentarily disoriented.
Then I remembered where I was. And who I was with.
I turned my head slightly, just enough to peek at Alexander's face. His eyes were closed, and dark lashes fanned against his cheeks. In sleep, his features were softer, less guarded. He looked almost vulnerable.
I carefully began to extricate myself from his embrace, moving inch by inch to avoid waking him. His arm was heavy across my waist, and as I lifted it, he stirred slightly.
I froze, holding my breath.
Alexander mumbled something unintelligible and rolled onto his back, his arm falling away from me. I exhaled in relief, then quickly slid out of bed.
Standing beside the mattress, I looked down at his sleeping form. The sheet had slipped down to his waist, revealing his sculpted chest and abs. The evidence of his morning arousal tented the sheet impressively.
"Damn," I whispered, tearing my eyes away.
I tiptoed to the bathroom, closing the door silently behind me. Leaning against the sink, I stared at my reflection. My hair was a mess, my cheeks flushed, and my nipples were still visibly hard beneath my tank top.
"Get it together, Olivia," I muttered to myself. "It's just biology. Nothing personal."
But as I splashed cold water on my face, I couldn't help wondering what it would be like if it was personal. If Alexander had pulled me against him deliberately if those strong hands had wandered beneath my clothes if those full lips had pressed against my neck...
"Stop it," I hissed at my reflection. "This is business. Just business."
I splashed more cold water on my face, trying to wash away both the sleep and inappropriate thoughts about Alexander's body. After drying my face with one of his ridiculously plush towels, I stared at my reflection again. My hair was messy, my cheeks flushed, and I looked like I'd been thoroughly... well, not slept with, but definitely affected.
"Get your shit together," I muttered, running my fingers through my tangled hair in a futile attempt to tame it.
I tiptoed out of the bathroom, relieved to find Alexander still asleep. The sheet had slipped lower, revealing more of his sculpted torso. I forced my eyes away and quietly left the bedroom.
In the kitchen, I explored cabinets until I found coffee and filters. The fancy machine looked complicated, but after some fumbling, I managed to get it brewing. The rich aroma filled the air as I leaned against the counter, staring out at the ocean view.
This whole situation was insane. A fake marriage. A contract. Sleeping in the same bed as my incredibly hot boss, who I was definitely not attracted to. Nope. Not at all.
"Fuck," I whispered, running a hand over my face.
When the coffee finished brewing, I poured two mugs, adding a splash of cream to mine. I carried both back toward the bedroom, pausing at the door to take a deep breath before entering.
Alexander was still asleep, one arm flung above his head, the sheet now dangerously low on his hips. I set his mug on the nightstand and retreated to the balcony off the bedroom, settling into one of the comfortable chairs.
The ocean stretched endlessly before me, sunlight dancing on the waves. I sipped my coffee, letting the caffeine and the view calm my racing thoughts. The cool morning air raised goosebumps on my skin, but I welcomed the sensation. It helped clear my head.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
I nearly spilled coffee down my front at Alexander's voice. He stood in the doorway wearing a navy blue silk robe that hung open, revealing most of his chest and a tantalizing glimpse of his abs. His hair was mussed from sleep, making him look younger and less controlled than usual.
"Jesus Christ," I said, clutching my mug tighter. "Make some noise when you move."
"In my own house?" He smirked, stepping onto the balcony. "Thanks for the coffee."
