My legs hooked over the stranger's shoulders as I kicked wildly, barely stifling a scream.
"Funny—you're the one who invited me up. Now you're playing coy, asking who I am?"
With one rough motion, he tossed me onto the bed, already working his belt loose.
"Wrong room! You've got the wrong—"
I crab-walked backward across the circular mattress, heart hammering. His words clicked: he'd expected someone else. I must’ve misread the door number.
"No mistake. This is 201." He paused, pulling out his phone to check. "...Shit. It’s 202."
My stomach dropped—half from relief, half from something dangerously close to disappointment.
"My bad." His chuckle was low, almost sheepish, as he raked a hand through his hair.
I opened my mouth to shove him out—when another knock shattered the silence.
"Vanessa. Open up."
Boss.
My gaze darted between the rumpled sheets and the stranger still standing there. Think. Think. Letting my boss in now? Suicide. But ignoring him? Not an option.
"Vanessa, I swear to God—next knock’s with hotel security!"
Panic spiked. I shoved the guy toward the wardrobe, yanked up my thong, and wrenched the door open.
"What took so long?" Boss stepped inside, wire-framed glasses glinting with suspicion. His eyes locked onto the damp spot on the duvet. "Someone just leave?"
"Just me. Got tired of waiting... had to improvise." I melted against him, honey in my voice.
The wardrobe door creaked—still ajar.
Distract him. Now.
"Oh?" His grip tightened at my waist, fingers already teasing under my skirt. "Prove it."
I arched into his touch, letting my hips roll. Beneath us, the sheets grew slick.
"Christ. You weren’t kidding." He pushed me down, mouth hot on my neck.
I risked a glance at the wardrobe.
The gap had widened.
Two eyes gleamed in the darkness.
"Go!" I mouthed, but the bastard didn’t move.
Boss ripped my lace bra clean off. The stranger’s gaze burned over my bare skin—then his phone slid out, camera aimed right at us.
My blood turned to ice.
A ringtone blared from the wardrobe.
Boss went rigid.
