One of the assistants stepped forward, yanked Zachary to his feet, drove him to the entrance of the Stone family villa, and dumped him out of the car like trash.
Zachary had passed out. Barely alive, he lay motionless on the ground. After a long time, someone inside finally noticed a figure at the front gate, unconscious.
"Help! It's Mr. Stone. He's beaten to death!" someone shouted. With that, the entire Stone family villa erupted into chaos, and it scared David out of his wits.
"What happened to my son?" David shouted in panic as he quickly dashed out, nearly losing his shoes in his frantic rush, his massive beer belly jiggling with each step.
He ran to the front gate and, upon seeing Zachary's miserable state, immediately wailed, "Oh no, my son! What happened to you? Who did this to you? Tell me, and I'll avenge you right now!"
David cradled his son's head, his heart aching. "Bastards! How could they be so ruthless? Are they trying to end the Stone family line? My boy, please be alright!
"What are you useless idiots standing around for? Call an ambulance and get a doctor here to save my son!" David roared at the servants.
The servants trembled at David's roar, scrambling to pull out their phones and call for help.
David wept bitterly, crying out, "Oh my son, if anything happens to you, I won't want to live anymore."
Elianna was roused by the commotion. She watched her father cradling her barely alive brother expressionlessly.
Beneath Elianna's calm eyes was a storm of overwhelming hatred, laced with a hint of disdain and sarcasm.
She had David bring Zachary back for one reason, which was to take down that bitch, Skylar. She had never thought that he would be this useless, getting beaten up so badly by Skylar.
Elianna pursed her lips, rolled her eyes, and turned back. She could not care less whether her brother lived or died.
'The useless ones can die for all I care. With them gone, that's one less rival fighting for the family's inheritance,' she thought.
David wailed hysterically as he held his son until the ambulance arrived. He fumbled clumsily as he helped the paramedics load his son into the ambulance and then accompanied his son to the hospital.
The doctor's examination revealed no serious injuries. It was just superficial wounds that looked worse than they were.
"Your son's fine. Just apply some medicine to his wounds, and he can go home," the doctor said.
David shouted, "Are you serious? Just look at my son. How can you say he's fine when he's in this state?
"Did you even look at all those injuries on him? They're so severe, and you're just prescribing some medicine? Are you kidding me?"
David was visibly agitated and lost control, creating a scene with the doctor in the corridor. "Are you trying to save my son? If you don't know how to treat him, get someone else who can!" he shouted.
Furious, the doctor snapped, "No matter which doctor you bring in, the diagnosis will be the same."
"I don't believe it! I want to transfer him!"
David refused to accept the initial diagnosis and insisted on transferring Zachary to another hospital. However, the results were the same.
David was beside himself. "How can you say he's fine? Just look at those ghastly wounds all over my son!" he said.
"Honestly, your son is fine," the doctor reassured. "His injuries just look scary because he bruises more easily than most people. Even minor contact can make them appear much worse than they actually are."
David hesitated, his voice tinged with doubt. "Are you sure?" Only after the doctor repeatedly assured him his son was fine did he finally relent.
Skylar did not go all out. She just temporarily immobilized Zachary so she could teach him a proper lesson. When the time was up, Zachary would fully recover.
Zachary jolted awake, veins throbbing grotesquely across his body, his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets as he snarled, "Skylar, you fucking bitch!"
