In my past life, my soul was trapped inside my apartment.
After realizing my complicated feelings for Jason, I moved out of his place.
When Lucas heard about my death, he went straight to Jason, demanding answers.
But what answers could there be?
Jason told him I'd been seriously ill—that I just didn't make it.
He didn't even have the right to know the truth.
That night, Lucas broke into my apartment like it was nothing, easily cracking the door code.
I watched, stunned, as he staggered into my room.
When I drifted closer, all I saw was his tall frame curled up on my bed, his back shaking, the pillow drenched in tears.
I wanted to comfort him—but how?
So I just sat beside the bed, watching in silence.
Eventually, I couldn't resist reaching out, my fingers brushing through his soft hair.
But I was just a ghost.
I couldn't really touch him.
My hand passed right through, yet I still pretended, gently patting his head like I was soothing a child.
"Lucas, don't cry. If you keep crying, I'll want to kiss you."
Beneath my touch, his delicate face trembled.
Suddenly, his eyes flew open—huge, glistening tears spilling down.
Then, with a broken sigh, he squeezed them shut again.
"Liar."
