The next day, yoongi arrived with a thick stack of case files in hand.
Standing with his back to Taehyung , he opened the files one by one.
Curious, Jungkook drifted closer to take a look the moment he saw what was inside, his heart ached with a pain sharper than any blade.
They were records of rinnie’s case. Sparse notes condemned her death as a simple accident, drowning.
“seojoon was in charge of this case back then,” yoongi said coldly. “I questioned him about it yesterday
With his son still missing, seojoon was desperate and had no choice but to come clean. "
Three years ago, on the very day taekook's daughter was kidnapped, seojoon’s son had been exposed for embezzling 50 million from haejoon’s company.
haejoon used this as leverage, forcing seojoon to abandon the investigation into rinnie’s disappearance.
yoongi flipped through the photos, his expression momentarily softening with pity, though his professionalism held firm.
Turning back to Taehyung , he said gravely. “You could simply tell us the truth. That would help us investigate and bring justice to your husband and daughter faster.”
Taehyung didn’t flinch. His eyes bore into yoongi’s, unyielding.
“Humans can survive about three days without food,” Taehyung
said, his tone eerily calm, “So I’m giving you three days“

News of Taehyung killing his fiancée spread quickly. The tragedy of aera’s family was too sensational to keep quiet.
Public opinion swirled in a frenzy, forcing authorities to act.
Taehyung understood this game all too well, if he handed over the truth outright, higher–ups might sweep the case under the rug. rushing to close it without causing further ripples.
But with the weight of public scrutiny, people would demand answers.
yoongi, visibly frustrated, could do nothing but accelerate the investigation.
He wasn’t originally from this police precinct and lacked knowledge of the prior cases.

When the detention center’s heavy doors clanged shut behind him, Taehyung finally let his guard down.
He leaned into the corner of the cell, his thoughts slipping into desperation.

Taehyung buried his face in his hands, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Aera, drunk and giddy at the news of his demise, had let slip a horrific confession: Her father, Haejoon, was a pedophile.
So, when Aera pursued Taehyung again, he accepted her advances with open arms.

He needed to uncover the truth his husband and daughter deserved justice..
The case quickly took a dramatic turn.
yoongi tracked down the retired doctor who had handled rinnie’s autopsy. The man was frail and struggling to live in a care facility.
the doctor was merely in his late forties somehow looked more unkempt and haggered then someone in their seventies.
all the years karma and life has not been easy on him. he was collecting the fruits of his own plantation..
“The report was fabricated,” he admitted. Haejoon had paid him handsomely for his silence.
The money was meant to save the doctor’s son, who was battling a rare form of cancer. It should be enough for him to survive.
but fate has different plans, karma hit him hard. his son didn't responded to the treatment. he tried best doctors every medicine, latest medical equipments but....
tragically, he passed away not long after rinnie’s death, leaving the doctor with nothing but guilt.
Perhaps driven by remorse, he told yoongi everything.
“That little girl was s**ually abused before she died,” he said, his voices heavy with shame.
“She didn’t drown. She was suffocated. Someone pressed the life out of her with their own hands.”

The doctor’s testimony was recorded in full, and when the tape played in the interrogation room, silence fell over everyone.
In harrowing detail, he described every mark and injury on rinnie’s body.
Her arms and legs, invisible beneath her dress, were covered in bruises, swelling, and burns.
her ribs were broken , liver punctured ,, clear indication of merciless beating..
Just hearing it sent Jungkook and Taehyung spiraling into rage.
The wounds had been dismissed in the original report as scratches from underwater debris.
But the truth exposed by the doctor had been hidden until now.
The abuse rinnie endured before her death was far more horrific than they had ever imagined.
