jungkook could hear Taehyung ’s silent but anguished screams. “Monsters! Animals! none of them deserved to live.”
His fists clenched so tightly that blood dripped from his palms, staining the pristine white floor.
“Rinnie, my little girl… Dadda failed you my babyy!” Taehyung sobbed, his voice breaking ..
Men never cried easily, but the recording lasted mere minutes, and Taehyung ’s face was already soaked with tears. Even Jungkook’s vision blurred.
He was a spirit, a soul without any physical form; he was not supposed to feel emotions, but here he was with a lingering pain in his silent heart..
When he reached up to wipe taehyung's eyes, he realized he was crying too, his tears were not transparent, his face was streaked with crimson, blood.
No one in the room spoke. Not a single officer dared interrupt Taehyung ’s grief.
jungkook thought back to the night Taehyung pieced together the full truth.
He hadn’t reacted like this then, he was still like a stone ,, Instead, his calm had been terrifying.
He had hung up on Aera’s call without emotion, driven to the cemetery in silence, and even remembered to buy two bouquets of flowers, one for jungkook and one for Rinnie.
At the gravesite, he carefully wiped the dust from their headstones. Perhaps fearing he might frighten Rinnie, he hadn’t spoken aloud about the truth or his plans for revenge .
But I had heard his thoughts.
“I don’t have the patience to wait for justice. I’ll make justice happen myself. Aera and Haejoon will pay the most brutal price!” He had already gone mad by then.
At the time, Jungkook had hoped Taehyung would let go of his hatred, find a quiet place where no one knew him, and live out his life in peace.
After all, even if he avenged them, they could never return to him. he wished taehyung to stay away from all the cruelity ,, he wanted to see taehyung smile once again..
But everything changed that night when taehyung returned home. he saw aera waiting outside their home with frown etched on her forehead..
Aera had slapped him hard across the face, furious that he had missed her call and failed to buy some trivial item.
“You’ve latched onto my family now, so you’d better learn to serve me properly!” She sneered.
“Your ugly husband and pathetic excuse of a kid are dead. If you don’t put more effort into pleasing me, I’ll kick you out and have my dad crush your company!”
She giggled, utterly indifferent to how cruel her words were.
That was when Jungkook changed his mind.
"aera needs to pay for his sin,,".
taehyung and jungkook were a loving couple, always teasing and bickering,, they never had serious fights,,
every time a fight can escalate one of them would bow down and coax other,,
their every fight ended with their bare limbs entangled beneath the sheets..
they got the name of power couple in their friend circle for their unmatchable chemistry and the fact that they both were head over heels for each other .
When Taehyung laid down that night, his fists were repeatedly tightening. his rage swirling beneath his calm face..
Two day after Aera and Haejoon were killed, yoongi returned to the precinct with a breakthrough after a sleepless night.
“On the day of Rinnie’s disappearance, Aera was seen outside her kindergarten.”
That day, Taehyung was supposed to pick up Rinnie, but Aera had leveraged her influence to force Taehyung to meet her at Haejoon’s company instead.
At the time, Taehyung ’s branch office was collaborating with Haejoon. Not wanting to jeopardize the partnership, Taehyung reluctantly asked Jungkook to pick Rinnie up.
When Jungkook called her teacher to confirm, they told him Rinnie had already left .
The kindergarten was only a three minutes walk from our neighborhood, so jungkook didn’t think much of it and drove home.
But Rinnie never came back. She vanished in thin air..
Meanwhile, Taehyung couldn’t find Aera at Haejoon’s company either.
As panic consumed them, Aera called.
“Well, Jungkook,” she said,
“do you want your daughter back? Then divorce Taehyung , and I’ll let her go! You’re just a washed–up old hag. What right do you have to be with Taehyung ? Know your place and get lost!”
Aera had intercepted Rinnie on her way home and abducted her.
On the other end of the line, Jungkook heard a sharp slap, followed by Rinnie’s heart–wrenching cries.
“apppaaa… it hurts!”
Taehyung was enraged. “Aera, are you insane? Let my daughter go!”
Perhaps Aera hadn’t expected Taehyung to be there. His furious outburst left her momentarily stunned.
She stammered, “Fine, fine. I let her go. She’s just a kid. When we get married, I will give you another one, no five of them."
" Taehyung. I really like you now. I’ve been chasing you for so long. Can’t you give me a chance to be happy? If you marry me, my dad will fully support you. Your career will skyrocket, and you’ll have a perfect family. Isn't that great?”
At the time, Jungkook couldn’t comprehend Aera’s twisted logic. Without her interference, they would have been far happier.
With her status, she could easily have pursued someone more accomplished than Taehyung .
But now Jungkook understand. She just couldn’t stand it.
She couldn’t accept that someone who once idolized and adored her had moved on, loved and married someone else, and started a family.
She couldn’t understand why Taehyung would reject her, a woman who had both beauty and status in abundance.
in college days taehyung was swayed with her beauty momentarily, but soon aera herself proved that everything that glitters is not gold...
and she was a unworthy metal that only shines without any actual quality and value..
with time people could change. No one would revolve around another forever.
after getting rejected by aera, taehyung never looked back at that path.
he poured his blood sweat and tears in his company , after meeting Jungkook taehyung diverted his loyalty and devotion on jungkook.
Aera did eventually release Rinnie. After her disappearance, Aera even presented surveillance footage as proof of her Innocence.
