In the interrogation room, yoongi slammed his fists on the table, his composure breaking.
"Justice was buried beneath wealth and power. The truth was hidden behind money. We barely sought justice in our own way. What did we do wrong?"
yoongi like Taehyung was a father who was helpless at his daughter's ending.
"The only thing I regret," yoongi spat through his tears, "is not killing Haejoon with my own hands!"
His raw fury tore open the dark, bloody underbelly of power for all to see, exposing its horrors to the public.
His cries spread through the room like a virus. It silenced everyone, leaving the interrogation to continue with solemnity.
jungkook couldn't bear to listen any longer, so he turned and floated back to Taehyung's cell .
Taehyung hadn't moved since yoongi left, still sitting in the same hunched position.
jungkook enveloped him with his ethereal form, trying to hold him.
His stubble was thick, his disheveled appearance a stark contrast to the man he once knew.
"kookie , rinnie" he murmured. "I avenged you. I'll be joining you soon."
Taehyung had killed two people. Even though Aera and Haejoon crimes against Rinnie had come to light, the law would not absolve him of his actions.
"It's my fault," he said, his voice cracking. "If I'd never gotten involved with that woman, would we have had a happy life together?"
Jungkook knew Taehyung carried immense guilt.
He blamed himself for ever being drawn to Aera in his youth, for allowing her insanity to spiral into a vendetta against our daughter.
But he wasn't to blame. The fault lay entirely with Aera and Haejoon, who wielded their power and privilege like weapons.
The complete truth finally surfaced, bringing with it both unbearable pain and a chilling clarity.
Lives once vibrant were discarded into a raging river, but the truth refused to sink alongside them.
This was thanks to Taehyung and yoongi, two men who were incredible fathers that never gave up on seeking justice for their families..
Online, the duo was hailed as real men, symbols of courage and justice..
Aera and Haejoon, meanwhile, became infamous, their names forever nailed to the pillar of shame. No redemption would ever pry them free.
Their bodies, still uncremated due to the ongoing investigation, remained unclaimed once the case was resolved.
No one wanted to deal with the disgrace and bad luck their ashes might bring:
Eventually, their remains were forcibly delivered to their relatives, who immediately dumped the urns at the very villa where their crimes had unfolded.
Outraged parents of other victims stormed the villa, scattering the ashes into the toilets.
In the end, the villa burned to the ground in an unexplained fire.
The room where the horrors had taken place was destroyed beyond recognition, its blackened walls erasing every trace of depravity.
The security cameras captured no culprit. Perhaps finally even the heavens had decided to intervene.
The severity of Rinnie's case led to a sweeping investigation, and the fallout toppled countless powerful individuals.
When the dust settled, the doctor passed away in his care facility.
His final note contained only three words: [I'm so sorry]
however somewhere deep down he knows he doesn't deserve to be forgiven..
Seojoon was stripped of his position and arrested, and his embezzling son joined him in prison after being found.
Meanwhile, Jimin, who had worked tirelessly on the case, was promoted.
His unrelenting efforts, interviews, investigations, and sleepless nights, all in collaboration with yoongi, had brought the truth to light.
Standing on the stage at his commendation ceremony, bathed in light, he delivered a solemn promise.
For justice in law enforcement and for the peace of the people, we will fight with courage and resolve.
yoongi, however, was sentenced for his role in the plan. Given the circumstances, his punishment was lenient. Before leaving, yoongi said his final words to Taehyung , "Justice always prevails."
taehyung was subjected to 15 years of sentence,.
Before Taehyung's transfer to other cell,, he made one last request.
"I want to visit my husband and daughter's graves," he said.
When he arrived, their graves were already adorned with flowers from those moved by their story.
Taehyung carefully placed two fresh bouquets before their headstones, meticulously wiping away every speck of dirt from their photographs.
"Aera and Haejoon are dead" , he said softly. " I've avenged you both with my own hands. But it's not enough. In the next life, i will keep atoning for my sins."
His bloodshot eyes pierced Jungkook's heart, and guilt weighed heavily on him.
jungkook had left Taehyung to bear so much pain alone.
he owed him an apology.
Rinnie's death had broken him, and jungkook's death had delivered the final blow.
Taehyung rested his forehead against the cold gravestone, his voice trembling as he murmured, "kookie, it's not your fault. i will love you till the end."
Tears streamed down taehyung's face as his words wrapped around jungkook's soul.
Even now, after everything, Taehyung still understood his feelings and always comforted Jungkook when necessary.
He knew jungkook so well, even though he was no longer around.
The cemetery basked in sunlight, the weather unusually clear.
jungkook leaned down to embrace him, though his touch could only graze him like the whisper of a breeze.
It stirred something in taehyung's deep, love-filled gaze, which seemed to say, "kookie, Rinnie, wait for me."
Nearby officers turned away, letting the wind carry their transparent tears.
Taehyung, a man who lost everything without any fault, headed to the prisoner's block.
In the calm of his cell , he opened the chain around his neck, the locket was a tiny box.
taehyung pulled a small pill out of it, swallowing without any hesitation, in his last moment, his hand caressed the tiny picture in the box his family of three smiling,.
his lips twitch to smile , however his soul left his physical body before he can smile for one last time...
Taehyung was freed from the earthly realm with his soul in peace to join his family in afterlife, he was a good husband and an extraordinary father.
jungkook saw taehyung ending his own life, unable to see he closed his eyes and let his soul fade..
when jungkook open his eyes again he saw his taehyung and rinnie was waiting for him with their arms wide open to hug him..
jungkook ran towards them , and this time he was got engulfed in the warm embrace of his family .
in the end he reached where he truly belonged...
