"Let... let me go."
My palms pressed weakly against Daniel's chest, but he didn't budge.
His silence was heavy, his gaze scorching.
Then—footsteps outside the door.
I shoved him away just as the door creaked open, revealing Vincent standing there, his expression unreadable. His eyes flicked between us, and the air turned thick with tension.
"Hey... just fixing the AC," Daniel said, forcing a casual shrug.
Vincent stepped inside, sinking onto the sofa. His lips curled into a knowing smirk as he looked at me. "Sophia, when's your husband back?"
I kept my eyes down. "Two months."
"Two months..." He nodded slowly. "Perfect timing. My gym's looking for a yoga instructor. Interested?"
"Yoga?" I blinked.
"Yeah, the one in our complex. I run the place." His smile was smooth. "You've got dance training—should be an easy transition."
I'd heard about the new gym, but I never pegged Vincent as the owner.
"Sophia's definitely got the right... flexibility for it," Daniel added, voice dripping with suggestion.
Their stares burned into me again, sending my pulse into overdrive.
"Stop by tomorrow morning. I'll give you a tour." Vincent stood, offering his hand.
It was a trap.
And yet—my fingers reached for his anyway.
