Unfazed, Arielle returned to her room and immediately picked up her phone to check updates on the Boone Group.
The land in the Golden District would soon be developed.
Thanks to that piece of land, the Boone family was catapulted to the top as Theoria City's wealthiest clan.
Arielle thought, 'This isn't the outcome I wanted.
'The higher Gavin climbs, the greater the obstacles I'll face.
'He hasn't reached the peak of power yet, and I'm still no match for him. But if he really makes it...'
Arielle pressed her lips together in thought.
'Some things, you'll never know unless you try,' she told herself.
Arielle scrolled through her contacts and dialed a number. "Sign me up for May's..."
These days, Meredith was unbearably smug.
At home, she constantly flaunted the rewards her parents gave her for acing her exams right in front of Arielle,
She kept getting luxury bags and custom designer outfits.
At school, rumors were flying that Arielle was never satisfied with the rewards her parents gave her at home.
People said she was always giving Meredith attitude, picking on her, and calling her names.
Of course, Meredith's gullible friends indignantly stood up for her as soon as they heard about it.
This only further cemented everyone's impression of Arielle as the wicked sister.
Arielle was preoccupied with her own affairs, turning a deaf ear to the rumors.
Arielle thought, 'Let Meredith carry on for a few more days. I can't be bothered with her nonsense right now.'
Before she knew it, April had arrived.
School life went on as usual.
Arielle quietly built up her strength while focusing on her studies.
Arielle resolved, "I'm giving myself two years. Before the SAT, I'll settle the score with the Boone family and leave Theoria City for good.
"Who knows where I'll end up. Maybe I'll settle down in a quiet town, or maybe I'll head straight to Haskium's most vibrant metropolis..."
The next morning, a weekend.
Arielle allowed herself the rare luxury of sleeping in.
She lay quietly in bed, slowly raising her arm. Sunlight streamed through the window, its golden glow filtering between her fingers and making her squint.
Pushing aside the covers, she got up.
Arielle thought, 'Today, I'm finally going to see Cassandra and Phil. Vanna brought them back almost a month ago, but I still haven't visited them."
Arielle quickly freshened up, threw on some casual clothes, and headed out the door.
Meredith watched Arielle drive off in that pink sports car, her eyes brimming with disdain.
'It's not even her own car, what's she showing off for?' she scoffed to herself.
Slipping into her designer heels, Meredith got ready to head out.
She had a shopping date with Perla and Mya today.
After twirling in front of the mirror to admire her flawless look, she flashed a self-satisfied smile, grabbed her bag, and strutted out of the room.
Meanwhile, Arielle arrived at Vanna's place first. Together, they headed out to a villa in the suburbs.
The two of them stepped inside.
Cassandra was the first to spot Arielle. She froze in shock, covering her mouth, unable to believe her eyes or take a single step forward.
When Arielle called out, she finally snapped out of it.
Only then did Cassandra realize that the beautiful young woman standing before her was really Arielle.
Tears welled up instantly as she rushed forward and pulled Arielle into a crushing embrace.
"Arielle, it's really you! I thought I'd never see you again. And just look at you now…" Cassandra choked out, her voice trembling with emotion.
Cassandra's eyes welled up with tears as she clasped Arielle's hands, looking her up and down in disbelief.
She continued, her voice trembling, "You look just like a proper young lady now, so beautiful! I almost didn't recognize you. If I hadn't heard your voice, I'd have thought I was seeing things."
With that, she pulled Arielle into another tight embrace, hugging and squeezing her as if afraid she might disappear.
A rare, genuine smile spread across Arielle's face. In front of Cassandra, she became that carefree little girl again, all her defenses melting away.
"Where's Phil?" Arielle asked, looking around. "I haven't seen him since I got here."
Almost before Arielle finished speaking, Phil came sprinting over from the other side, barely able to contain his excitement.
The next moment, Phil threw himself into Arielle's arms.
"I missed you so much! Cassandra misses you too," Phil said, his voice trembling with emotion.
