'That woman's a complete maniac, she even beats up guys in Peterborough High! There's no way I can take her on alone,' Emily thought.
Emily knew better than to pick a fight she couldn't win, but she still had to put on a brave face.
She declared, "I'm your cousin! Aren't you afraid I'll tell your parents? They'll make you pay for it!"
Arielle sneered, "What a joke! Who the hell do they think they are, daring to lecture me?"
Her words utterly shattered Emily's worldview. Her eyes went wide in disbelief.
'How can she be so brazen?' Emily thought in shock. 'Where does she get the nerve?'
She said, "You... you're absolutely heartless! No wonder Meredith is always bullied by you at home, you..."
"Emily..." Meredith's soft, gentle voice cut through Emily's furious questioning.
'Here they come!' Arielle thought with satisfaction.
Arielle took two deliberate steps back at just the right moment.
Just then, Meredith arrived with Perla, Mya, and Gavin.
Gavin and Georgie exchanged greetings, their voices laced with polite formality.
Meredith made to ask Emily what had happened.
With just a look from Georgie, his bodyguard immediately dragged Emily away.
Emily could only cast a helpless glance, not daring to say a word.
She knew that Georgie didn't want anyone to find out about her argument with Arielle.
Meredith had never liked Emily. She only kept up appearances because their families were related.
Watching Emily get sent away, Meredith felt a wave of relief. 'Good riddance,' she thought. The last thing she wanted was Emily spoiling her date with Gavin.
Meredith's soft voice drifted over. "Arielle, you're here too."
"So you can be here, but I can't?" Arielle shot back.
Meredith hurried to explain, twisting her fingers nervously and looking timid, as if she'd said something wrong. "Please don't be angry, Arielle. That's not what I meant, I..."
Gavin snapped, "Enough! Meredith was just trying to be nice. What's with that attitude?"
He couldn't bear to see his goddess being wronged and lashed out angrily.
Gavin fumed, 'Right in front of everyone, she didn't spare Meredith a shred of dignity.
'If she's this rude in public, I can only imagine how much worse she bullies Meredith at home.'
The more Gavin thought about it, the angrier he got. 'God, I'd love to wipe that smug look right off her face!' he seethed.
Arielle didn't even spare Gavin a glance. Instead, she turned to Georgie.Arielle Bradford
"My name's Arielle Bradford. It's getting late, I'll take my leave now," she said coolly.
She turned to leave, but Georgie called out from behind her.
"We haven't even had a drink yet!" Georgie said, his interest growing, there was no way he was letting her go so easily.
Gavin saw that Arielle was outright ignoring him.
Watching her shamelessly flirt with Georgie right in front of them made him completely lose it.
'I've seen shameless women before, but never anyone this brazen,' he fumed.
Just as Gavin was about to remind Georgie what kind of person Arielle really was, he saw Georgie stride straight toward her.
Arielle turned just as Georgie reached for her cheek.
Arielle suppressed her disgust and sidestepped with practiced ease as he reached for her.
Her icy gaze locked onto Georgie, a flash of revulsion crossing her eyes.
"I'm not interested in you," she said coldly.
Georgie froze, embarrassment written all over his face, she was the first woman who'd ever dared to reject him.
Trying to save face, he added confidently, "Whatever you want, it's yours, as long as you're mine."
Arielle pretended to ponder for a few seconds before saying, "It's not that I don't make friends. I just don't hang out with useless trash."
Georgie scoffed, "Do you have any idea who I am? Countless women would kill to be with me. You should consider yourself lucky I've taken an interest in you."
Arielle sneered. 'What an absolute shameless prick,' she thought.
She said, "I'll only believe you if you can beat me. Otherwise..."
Before Arielle could finish, Georgie impatiently cut her off. "In what?"
"Poker, car racing, horse racing, hand-to-hand combat... that's all I can think of for now," Arielle said.
Arielle deliberately listed off those options, knowing full well they'd be more than enough to catch Georgie's interest.
"Alright, let's make a bet! I'll show you my prowess. What's the wager? Ladies' choice!" Georgie shot back immediately.
