"Leave me alone," I said out loud,"Please," I begged.
They nodded and right before the pack doctor left he said something that made me rage.
"He may not make it, Ms. Summers. He is in a coma right now and there is a 50/50 chance he will wake up. His wolf is temporarily gone so he will be recovering like a human. I'm not sure if he can hear everything around him but I would try." After that he shut the door and I broke down.
The only words that got stuck in my mind was the first sentence.
He may not make it.
I silently cried and laid my head on the now immobile arm of my brother. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry," I kept sobbing over and over again. I don't know why I was saying sorry. Probably because while I was with Blake and the others, my actual brother was suffering.
I am the worst sister in the world.
'It's alright. It isn't your fault, it's theirs," Crystal sneered. Crystal's anger was starting to overpower my sadness and started to fuel my revenge.
I wrapped my thin hand around Jared's strong calloused one. "Don't worry brother. I will get revenge for what they have done to you. If they think they can get away with hurting you then they are in for a surprise. No one can harm you and get away with it. I know you probably hate me for being a bad sister and no, I don't hate you. I actually love you. I love you Jared and no one will ever hurt you again. I know that sounds weird coming from your younger sister, but I am stronger. No one can explain why. I have red eyes in wolf form and my fur is pure white. It has its glow. My wolf is incredibly strong and I have even beaten Blake at fighting before. I need you to stay with me. I don't have anyone else, Jared," I moved so I could lay beside him and I stroked his hair," Mom and dad are gone. Grandma and grandpa are gone. Everyone is gone. You are my brother, Jared. I need you to stay. Please don't leave me here. I don't care about what you did to me. All I need, is you here with me. I can't do it. I won't be able to live anymore. If you go," I took a deep breath to calm my tears," If you go, I go with you."
After my visit with Jared and breaking down, I didn't bother to call Luke to drive me home. I just left. I don't care how hard or how painful it's going to be, one way or another I'm going to get my revenge on the hunters. How would they like it if I harmed one of their loved ones? They would instantly come for revenge so that's exactly what I'm doing.
After I had left the room, I made my way to the kitchen and took out a beer can. I don't really like drinking but I tend to do it when I need to relax or forget myself for awhile. I opened it and went to sit in one of the empty sofas in the living room. The whole pack was wandering around probably wanting news about their Alpha. Didn't anyone tell them?
The moment I sat on the sofa, everyone's gazes fixed on me. Some with sorrow and others with anxious expressions. Only one stood out from the rest of the crowd. Carolyn. He face held a look of disgust.
"While our Alpha is in there hurt, you're here drinking?!" She shrieked.
I had made sure to leave that room without any trace of crying. My make up was still there and my eyes had cooled down from the redness.
"Listen," I say setting down the can," I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but I am the Alpha until Jared gets better. No it won't go to his beta it will go to me. I don't care that you think I am weak. I am the sister of the Alpha and I have the right to take place until Jared has recovered, so shut your trap so I can tell you what we are going to do," I spoke rudely.
I took a deep breath and saw that some people were starting to stare at me with awe and surprise. "We have to start to train-" I was cut off by Carolyn.
"We are already trained," she snobbily picked at her manicured nails. I clenched my jaw.
"If you were trained good, then my brother wouldn't be where he is now," I spat at her.
Her eyes widened slightly, obviously intimidated but refused to give me the satisfaction. "Whatever," she huffed.
I rolled my eyes at her and continued. "As I was saying before I got rudely interrupted, we will be training so that you can be prepared when the hunters decide to attack or when the war starts."
Immediately whispers were heard around the pack about a war. A man around the age of 15 raised his hand. I nodded my head at him to tell him that he can ask. "What war? Alpha Jared never mentioned a war."
