I yank away from Luke and ran to Randy who looked ready to murder someone. "Randy chill. He just helped me from falling. I slipped on a shirt and was about to fall if it weren't for Luke to catch me," I try to reason.
"Is that true?" Randy spoke aggressively.
Luke shrugged and kept his passive face. "Don't know and don't care. I have to go now," he spoke smirking and left the room with the smirk still plastered on his face. I couldn't believe it. I was utterly confused.
Did he or did he not still love me?! I was determined to find out no matter what.
"Randy you should probably go out for a run and I'll finish packing," I suggested.
"Fine," he huffed before kissing my cheek and leaving the room.
Not wanting to waste anymore time here in this hellhole, I grab my suitcase and drag it to the same hallway where the guys and I had been staying at. I opened the door to my old room and right away started to pack away all my clothes.
15 Minutes Later...
"Phew. Finally I can leave," I muttered as I cautiously got up without harming myself.
'Blake can you come help me carry my bags down,' I mind linked.
'Yeah I'm on my way.'
A few minutes later Blake showed up and slung over my suitcase on his shoulder while wrapping his arm around my waist in a protective manner.
"No need to be so protective," I chuckled,"I'm not 6 months pregnant only 1."
"Doesn't matter. I love you and I want nothing bad to happen to the baby or you," he spoke calmly as he guided me outside and to his car. As Blake put the suitcase I turned to give one last glance to the pack house I will not miss.
My eye caught Luke's and I could feel myself tearing up. His eyes were pitch black but he made no attempt to communicate. I sighed in disappointment and made my way to the passenger seat. Blake finished putting away our suitcases and got in the car. Just as we were able to pull out, I heard Luke yell for us to stop.
My eyebrows scrunched up in confusion and I kept a puzzled face when Blake stopped the car. I won't hide it but somewhere deep in me, I had a sliver of hope that he would apologize.
"What do you want?" Blake hissed.
Luke ignored him and pulled out a shirt. I noticed it was the shirt I had slipped on. "You left this and I don't want it."
I nodded my head shakily and reached for the shirt. I let out a small cry when my hand brushed against his and he yanked away, warily glancing around. "I-I got to go," he rushed out before sprinting away from the car.
'Crystal why is he acting weird?' I thought.
'I don't know. His wolf is blocking me out. But not in an angry way. It feels...protective,' she spoke softly and thinkative.
'Protective?'
'Yeah. Like he is shielding us from something or someone but I don't know who.'
'Wait! So you're telling me that he has been pretending to hate me for awhile now?!' I scream mentally.
'I'm not sure. It feels like he is protecting us by hurting us but I don't understand why. This is all strange to me.'
My head started to pound against my skull as I thought of Luke lying this whole time and was actually protecting me.
"Jenna. Jenna. Jenna!" I slowly turned my head at Blake who was looking scared.
"What?" I asked quietly.
"What's wrong? You're acting really weird and quiet. Is something bothering you because I can-"
Before he could finish I opened the car door causing Blake to screech to a stop as I puked on the side of the road. I could feel a hand running my back soothingly as another hand held my hair up.
'Crystal I need you to break through Luke's wolf's barrier please,' I begged.
'I'll try.' I was about to tell her something else when I felt the urge to once again throw up.
"It's alright Jen," Blake whispered as he wrapped his arm around me and lifted me from my slouched potion when I threw up. Blake went through his compartment and found some napkins in which he used to clean me up.
I felt weak and vulnerable that I didn't mind. After he cleaned me up, he handed me a piece of mint gum which I snatched out of his hand and chewed. He started to drive again.
"Oh god. I don't think I can do this for another 6 months," I groaned.
"Well look at the bright side. At least you won't do the full 9 months instead you have to be 7 months pregnant."
"I don't care. It still sucks," I grumbled and placed my head on the car side window. Tiredness seemed to catch up to me and I soon felt myself at peace. I was about to fully fall asleep when I heard a car screech which was then followed by a scream. A scream that ripped from my lips. The last thing I saw was Blake being yanked out from the car as I was left in the car to be rammed into a tree. I acted upon it and tried to open the door but it was locked.
