                    Jaelynn POV
I waddle into the car, grumbling how I looked like a penguin. Once inside, I messaged Jakob that I would be at their school in five minutes... since Jessika never checks her phone. Mom and mama went to have a date today, so I'm taking the twins out for dinner. As I pulled into the school, I lowered the window to tell for Jessika, but I over heard some boys talking shit to her.
"So when a chick goes down on you Jessika, do you smell like fish?" The brat laughed with his friends.
I was about to yell out the window when I heard Jessika's reply, "No clue, may want to ask your mom." Everyone got quiet. Jessika fixed her ponytail, smirking, "Oh and tell Mrs. Chester hi for me... or I could do it later tonight."
"Jessika!" Jakob whispered yelled but they headed towards my car. I just rolled up the window and minded my business... though I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. When they climbed in, I held my hand out to Jessika and she gave me a high-five. "Don't encourage her behavior!"

"So like the baby is half Peter?" Jessika asked.
"Yep," I popped the 'p'.
She made a face, "Gross." Jakob punched her for me. We went to get burgers, something I've been craving a lot. "Are you scared?" Jessika asked.
"For?"
"Giving birth," she mumbled, "I hear your vagina rips sometimes and then they have to add another stitch or you shit yourself-" "EW JESSIKA!" Jakob covered his ears, making me giggle.
"Hey, you want a wife and kids one day right?" She pinched his nose, "So you better get over it. The baby is going to puke, piss, and shit on you! It may even do it all at once!"
Jakob was ready to puke and that only fueled Jessika to keep going. I chuckled, shaking my head, "I am. Of course it's scary."
"Then why have children?" She asked and Jakob hit her again.
"Because I love my child," I said and to my surprised, the twins just gawked at me, "what?"
"You... you," Jessika's face turned beat red.
"Look like a mom," Jakob finished, with a big smile on his face, "congratulations Jaelynn! I can't wait to be an uncle!"
I got teary eyed, but I shook my head and muttered, "Keep eating."

As we were driving back, Jessika and Jakob were whispering to each other, but I could hear it all. "What should I get Genesis for a promotion present?" Jakob asked.
"Why the fuck does she need a 'promotion present'. Ain't like we're graduating college!"
Jessika whispered back.
"Cause like that sort of stuff," Jakob muttered.
"Ew," I glanced in the review mirror to see Jessika frowning, "that's stupid."
"I swear you aren't a girl," Jakob rolled his eyes.
"Maybe I want to be non-binary," she replied.
"That suits you."
*whack*
"Ow!" I couldn't help but chuckle at that.
When they saw me chuckling, they stopped leaning into one another and made awkward faces. Jessika spoke first, "Are you going to be moving out Jaelynn?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Cause you and Peter are having offspring," she said.
"A baby Jessika... we're having a baby," I sighed.
"That's what I said."
I hate her.
"And yes. I'll be moving in with Peter and Allie," I said, glancing in the mirror to see her frowning, "are you upset about that?"
"No... it's just... weird," she shrugged, "you've always been with us. I thought you were going to be away for a bit because you and mom had issues... not that you were leaving forever."
I pulled into the driveway, having the twins hop out. Shutting off the car, I climbed out and shouted to them, "Wait up!" They stared back at me, confused but they walked over so I wouldn't have to wobble so much. When they were right in front of me, I flicked both of their noses, just like I did back in our foster homes, and said, "I'm not leaving for forever. I'm just growing up and having my own family now. You two will do the same... we can't always be together but that doesn't mean we're ever apart."
"That's an oxymoron," Jakob said.
"Okay smart-ass," I rolled my eyes, "I'm a text, a shout, a drive, a call away. When you need me, I'll be there. You're my baby siblings... I'll love you forever. You were the first loves of my life, how can I leave you behind."
Jessika shrugged a little, "But I don't want to make you feel like you have to stay... I don't want you to leave but I also don't want you to feel... stuck to me... well, us."
"Well I'll always be stuck to you," they looked at me, "just like you're always stuck to me."
They both chuckled, lighting up to the idea of me moving out. As we walked up to the door, I thought about the time they were five years old... when our biological parents passed. We were seated in the hospital hallway and they both had been crying for our mom for hours. My heart heavy for I knew long before the doctor had come what the results were to be. I clung onto them and they clung on to me.
Throughout the foster system I fought to stay with them. My blood, sweat, and tears were put into staying with them. I fought physically and mentally - I acted out and rebelled. I cussed people out and started altercation with others. No one took them away... I wasn't going to let them out of my sight... because they were all I had left.
And mama's smiling face when we met her. How she looked at all three of us, not one or two... all three. Mama who showed me the paperwork as proof, telling me they were taking us all home. Being thirteen in the foster care system is hard. Everyone wants the babies... the cute ones... no one wants a preteen that refuses to be separated from their baby siblings... most thought I was psychotic for how much I fought... but mama and mom... they welcomed us... all of us and they raised us as if we were with them from day one.
So the idea of leaving this house to start my own was terrifying, but I knew it had to come. For family is more than distance or fight... family is all we have left.
As I knocked on the front door, Jessika mumbled to Jakob, "You better buy a house with a shack, cause you're really stuck with me."
