                    Cassie POV
"Jakob Knox-Meryl... Jessika Knox-Meryl," the principal announced. Antonia was taking pictures as Jaelynn and I clapped. Jakob wore a nice white button down and tan pants. Jessika wore a red one piece with white vans - the Jessika special. They held up their certificates and walked down the stairs.
As they disappeared into the lines, Antonia came back and showed me the pictures. "That's the best," I whispered.
"I agree," she said, smiling proudly. I smiled at her, loving her here. Turning my head away, I coughed into my arm. The principal walked up to the podium and gave this cliche speech. Jessika poked her head out and was waving at us. I couldn't help but return it back. "That troublemaker," Antonia smiled, waving back, "I'm proud of her."
Slightly hugging Antonia, knowing others would snicker if they saw and I didn't want to ruin the twins's days, "I'm proud of all of you."
We watched as they marched across the stage and the principal says the special words, "Congratulations on your promotion!" And we all jumped up cheering.

"I'm still shocked she apologized," Jessika said, smirking victoriously. The girls who had been bullying her had apologized before the ceremony. "Did you hear they lost the principal's award because of their bullying?"
"Yep," Jakob said, "they deserved worst."
"Well luckily you two won't be seeing them anymore," I said, leaning into Antonia as she drove. I had this migraine forming and didn't feel up to drive, "Are you excited for high school?"
"No," they said in unison, making Antonia and I chuckle.
"Well," Jakob mumbled, "I was thinking of trying out for ASB."
"Oh really?" Antonia's ears perked up, "What made you consider that?" He shrugged, making me chuckled. At a red light, Antonia kissed my head, "You okay?"
"Just a little headache," I sighed.
The twins were preoccupied in their own conversations. "Are you thinking of any clubs?" Jakob asked.
"Eh," she shrugged, but glanced at us, "I heard they have a chemistry club on campus... I was thinking about joining it."
"Chemistry?" Antonia asked.
"Yeah," she said shyly, "I really like it actually."
"You should do it," Jakob said, "I can be in ASB, you in chemistry, and both of us in soccer."
"You're continuing soccer?" She asked.
"Why wouldn't I?"
"Cause you joined for me... not because you love it. We'll be on different teams so you don't have to join," she said, nudging him, "I know you hate that kind of stuff."
He thought about it for a bit, but nudged her back, "You're right. I do hate physical stuff like that but... when I play, it reminds me of you and you push me to be the best me."
We both glanced in the review to see Jessika sticking her face away, smiling, "You weirdo... do whatever you want."

We watched as Jakob and Genesis ran away from Marissa, Jessika and Sonna played with Liam, and the other Kendrick kids watched Lilo and Stitch. Jaelynn was felling sick from the baby, so she went home early. Jeremiah, Antonia and I were in the kitchen, them having wine while I was drinking water.
"Thanks for this," he muttered, "the kids have been having it hard recently."
"No need to thank us," Antonia said, patting his hand, "we're family, right?" He nodded, giving a little smile.
I went into the fridge and handed him a few containers of food, "I know you're busy with work and Norma did all the cooking... here is some stuff to help out. If you need anything just call."
"Thank you Cassie... this means everything," he muttered, tearing up. We both sat there, letting him break down. He was trying to be strong... to not let the kids see how lost he was. So we were that for him. We listened, consoled, and comforted him.
Cause Jeremiah is our family. Our greatest friend and ally.
And he needs us right now.

Antonia was taking a shower as I laid on the bed. My head was pounding and my chest was on fire. For the past week I had been feeling these pains... I think it's from all the stuff that has been happening recently.
"I just need life to chill out," I muttered, "I'm so tired."
I closed my eyes and saw Antonia. She was wearing a white gown, kneeling in front of what looked to be a tombstone. She was leaving roses on it, dusting the fallen leaves from it. Her hair had turned partly gray and she was thinner. Suddenly she stood up and walked away, looking back at it for a moment. Then left.
I watched as she left, my eyes remaining on her until she vanished. Once I could no longer see her, I went over to the tomb and when I squatted down to it, my heart stopped.

Throwing myself up, I looked around the room. My body was burning I had been yelling. Antonia was up, in my lap and holding my face. When I registered it was her, I began to cry, "I'm dying... I'm fucking dying Ani... I saw it... I saw it... I'm dying... I'm dying."
