Upon hearing this, Eileen kept her silence.
Though she was officially Cecilia's servant, after these days together, her loyalty had gradually shifted to Raelynn.
Having served as a maid for so many years, she had long learned to read people's hearts.
Raelynn was deeply empathetic and treated everyone with genuine sincerity.
Even toward servants in Lunebloom Hollow, she was always incredibly kind.
This stood in stark contrast to the vicious rumors, which claimed Raelynn deliberately offended the noble consort and harmed her unborn prince.
In truth, none of the servants believed Raelynn could ever be that cruel.
So, when Cecilia said she would add more to Raelynn's wedding gift, Eileen kept a straight face, but inside, she was secretly overjoyed.
Eileen thought, 'Lady Cecilia already favors Lady Julia. Now she's even setting Lady Julia's wedding on the same day as Lady Raelynn's, I bet she will be quite generous with Lady Julia's wedding gifts.
'If Lady Julia gets one more thing, that's one less for Lady Raelynn.
'And if Lady Raelynn manages to get something extra, Julia will have to do without.
'All of Lady Cecilia's possessions should have gone to Lady Raelynn anyway.
'If only Lady Cecilia would just give everything to Lady Raelynn, that would be perfect.'
However, unaware of Eileen's true thoughts, Cecilia casually inquired, "What has Margot given Raelynn for her wedding gift? Let me see what's still lacking. I'll make up the difference."
Eileen truthfully listed the several shops and estates that Margot had given to Raelynn.
Cecilia nodded politely, but a swirl of conflicting emotions stirred within her.
Most of the shops Margot gave were prime commercial properties. Their annual revenue alone was enough to cover the entire Duke's estate's yearly expenses.
Cecilia thought, 'Even though Blossom Manor and Cottonwood Grove are nearly deserted, maybe this is Margot's way of testing Raelynn's abilities.
'Margot really spares no expense for Raelynn.
'And she's certainly put a lot of thought into all of this.'
As Raelynn's mother, Cecilia should have been happy.
Oddly, Cecilia found herself thinking that Margot never treated Julia this well before Raelynn and Julia's true identities were revealed
Now that she thought about it, that struck Cecilia as rather strange.
However, Cecilia didn't dwell on the matter.
As Raelynn's mother, Cecilia couldn't help but feel pleased that Margot was willing to give Raelynn all these things.
At least, it proved Margot's genuine affection for Raelynn.
After a moment's thought, Cecilia said, "What Margot has given Raelynn is quite generous. I'll be adding some jewelry and ornaments myself—"
Before the words had fully left her lips, a maid in a peach-pink padded jacket burst into the room unceremoniously.
Cecilia frowned, visibly annoyed.
Eileen frowned and snapped, "Vania, this is the inner chamber. What's a mere cleaning maid like you doing in here? Leave at once.
"If you dare disturb Mrs. Lennox, you'll be in for it!"
Eileen was actually trying to look out for Vania.
After all, they were all fellow servants toiling in Lunebloom Hollow.
However, Vania dug in her heels and refused to leave.
Her eyes darted shiftily around before she hastily knelt and apologized, "I am sorry for failing to notice your presence, Mrs. Lennox. Please forgive me."
Eileen barked, "Now that you know you're wrong, get out!"
As the only senior maid in Lunebloom Hollow, she naturally took it upon herself to watch over these mischievous girls.
Truth be told, she wasn't all that old herself.
She was only a decade older than Cecilia. Still, to the young maids in Lunebloom Hollow, she was practically a leader.
But little did Eileen know that Vania didn't appreciate her kindness at all.
She had already turned coat and joined Julia's side.
From outside, Vania overheard that Cecilia intended to add more to Raelynn's wedding gift.
As a competent subordinate, she naturally had to look out for Julia's share.
After all, if Raelynn got more, that meant less for Julia.
Vania thought, 'Who knows. Maybe some of that gold and jewels will end up as rewards for me one day.
'There's no way I'm just going to stand by and let all that gold and jewels end up in Lady Raelynn's pockets!'
