The Unknown Lycan Princess - Chapter 59: Chapter 59

Before I realize it I am sobbing thinking about my mate not wanting me. Then I hear him say, “I’m sorry mate. I didn’t know. I have been waiting for you for a long time. I promise there is no one else but you from now on. Please don’t cry, I can’t stand to see you in pain.” I look up and see him looking at Beth and asking her to release him so that he can console me.
I know Beth releases him after I said it was ok, and he immediately comes to me wrapping his arms around me. I was stiff at first but then relaxed as the tingles from the mate bond covered my body. I take a big sniff of his scent then wrinkle my nose as I forgot about that w***e’s scent all over him. I turned to Beth and said, “”Beth can you please do a spell or something so that other females scent is off of him please,” I practically begged her.
I knew this was going to be good when Beth gets a smirk on her face and before I know it I am shifted back a little ways from him and he is being drenched in water. We all started to laugh because that was funny as hell. I stopped laughing when I noticed that he was shivering. I asked Beth to dry him off and she does but not without adding her own flare to it. A tiny whirlwind was surrounding him as it dried him off. When Beth is finally done with having her fun I walk up to him and sniff him and relax my shoulders thankful that I can only smell his amazing scent. It almost reminded me of a campfire and making smores.
I wrap my arms around him and we introduce ourselves. Blaze is a fitting name for him. His hair and scent remind me of a blazing fire. Then my i***t brother has to open his mouth so I threaten him that I’ll tell Beth about the one time at summer camp when we were younger. It was one of the best pranks in my life and I knew it would be great ammunition to keep him in line.
After we all have a laugh about my brother and his younger days Alexander brings us back to the here and now. We are waiting expectantly for my Blaze to explain why he was spying on us.
“Oh. Um,” he says as he scratches the back of his neck and then continues, “I was told by my father to come check out who was coming into our territory and if you were a threat to handle the situation. So what are you doing here? This is not a place I could see people taking a vacation at, so?”
Beth opens a link between all of us and asks if we should tell him everything or just the bare minimum. I think we should tell him everything, but I am overruled by the majority who agree that he can know some, but not every detail.
“I was sent on a quest by Ares the God of War. I am supposed to come here and find a flower called strelitzia. Do you know where I could find this?” Beth says.
I felt Blaze stiffen in my arms when she said the name of the flower. He knows something. Let’s see if he tells us.
“I know of the flower that you speak of, but the only person who can even access it is the leader of the clan, my father. I must take you to see him and if you pass his judgment then you will be granted access. So let’s get moving. It will be dark soon and it isn’t safe to be out in the open at night. I am staying in a cave not far from here that will give us shelter for the night. We’ll be at my clan lands by midday tomorrow if we leave first thing in the morning.” Blaze says and grabs my hand and leads us all to a cave not far from where we were, maybe a twenty minute hike.
As we get nearer to the cave I smell that same scent I did earlier on Blaze and my anger spikes up. The w***e was here with him and she is still here. Before Blaze can stop me I let go of his hand and march right into the cave and what I see guts me. She is laying on a stack of furs completely naked and she doesn’t even bat an eye when she sees me. She has eyes only for Blaze who is standing behind me.
“Blaze baby. I didn’t know you were bringing someone else to play with us. It was quite fun the last time, but she really isn’t your type.” what she says makes me turn to Blaze and slap him hard again.
“If you want to be with her then have at it. I refuse to be a part of this. You either take out the trash or I will and you will be mateless. I am not going to be played, Blaze. I deserve better than this!” After I finish making my demands I push him away from me and I turn and leave the cave and start to walk off away from everyone before I let the tears loose from my eyes. I have been holding them back since I saw her in the cave.
It doesn’t take long and I hear a commotion coming from the direction everyone else was at. I was glad that no one came after me because I don’t want to explain to anyone how I am feeling. I hear some yelling from my brother and some screaming from that w***e. Then there is a loud roar and then silence. I am scared for a minute because it should not be that quiet and I get up and run back to everyone else. What I see shocks the s**t out of me. Standing there in front of my family and friends is a large red dragon. An actual f*****g dragon. It takes me a minute to realize that there is another dragon standing there looking like it wanted to spit fire at us. It was smaller than the red dragon and its scales looked like the color of baby poo yellow.
It takes me a minute to register that the red dragon is my mate and he is protecting my family from the other dragon who I am going to assume is that w***e from the cave. What shocks me though is that the dragons can speak.
“Leave Arabella! I will not say it again. Do NOT come near me or my mate again. I will not let some rank bunny make my mate think she is not worthy of me. It was the biggest mistake of my life ever getting involved with you. My mate is my everything and no one is going to ever make her feel less than the goddess she is,” the red dragon says.
“How can you say that Blaze? I thought I was going to be your chosen mate. You told me you loved me.” The yellow poo colored dragon who I know is Arabella now says.
“I never once said that I loved you or that I would make you my chosen mate.” Blaze’s dragon says.
“You’re going to choose this outsider over one of your own kind? I don’t think your father or the gods would approve.” Arabella poo dragon says.
I have heard enough and say, “Yo poo dragon. You heard my man. Get the hell out of here. Who the hell are you to say that the gods would not approve of a mating that they put in place anyway. Is your head full of poo like your scales look like?”
I hear Ethan and Alexi burst out laughing while Sandra and Alexander look mortified and Beth is just standing there smiling, shaking her head at what I said. I swear I heard a chuckle coming out of Blaze’s dragon.
Before anyone else could say anything we hear a loud screech coming from the sky and as I look up I see a dragon that is even bigger than Blaze. His scales were black as night and he looked like he was pissed. If the spray of fire he lets out in the sky is any indication to go by I would say he was pissed. It didn’t take him long to land on the ground causing it to shake and Ethan and Alexi rush to Beth to make sure she doesn’t fall.
The dragon shifts and I am surprised that he is still clothed. He looks like an older version of my mate except for the hair. Where blaze has red hair this man’s hair is black with spots of gray in it denoting his age. “Shift back NOW!” He roars out with a command that would rival my father’s.
In moments Blaze is back in human form and he rushes over to me and brings me in his arms and says, “Goddess I am so sorry Jess. I completely forgot that she was even still here. I would never have put you through that intentionally. Please believe me love.”
I wrap my arms around him and say, “I know. I am sorry I just didn’t expect to have her thrown in my face like that.” “What is going on here? Arabella what are you even doing out here away from the clan?” The older man says.
“Chief, I was here with Blaze. He asked me to wait here for him while he went to check on the breech. When he came back these outsiders were with him and that b***h demanded that he get rid of me. Tell Blaze that an outsider can’t possibly be his mate!” Arabelle the poo dragon says and even stomps her foot like a toddler throwing a tantrum.
The older man whips his head our way and I see a large smile grace his face and I release the breath I didn’t even realize I was holding. He walks over to us and pulls me into a hug and says, “Finally my son has found his mate. I hope you can do a better job at getting him to listen than his mother and I have done.” He laughs and I can’t help but laugh with him.
“Don’t worry father. She has already put me in line twice now. Before she even spoke a word to me she slapped me for being an i***t, and she did it again when we got to the cave and she found Arabella laying naked on the makeshift bed of furs. Let me just say that I don’t want to feel her wrath again.” Blaze says with a wink my way and I can’t help the blush that appears on my face.
His father lets out a big belly laugh at that then turns back around to a screaming poo dragon. She is really throwing a fit now. “That is enough! Get your ass back to the clan and you better leave my son and his mate alone.” Blaze’s father says to her without any room for her to argue with him. With a huff she shifts back into her poo colored dragon and flys off. “Now that that is dealt with. Not that I am not glad my son has found his mate, but what are you and your group doing in these lands? This is no place for someone in her condition.” He says pointing over to Beth who was leaning into Ethan’s embrace while holding Alexi’s hand.
“They are here for the strelitzia flower father.” Blaze answers for us. I am surprised that his father didn’t suffer from whiplash from how fast his head turned to look at Blaze when he said that.
