Cassie’s Pov
Walking around naked in Shawn’s home was something I never envisioned but I had to deal with it because I didn’t have the patience to pick up my clothes from the playroom. I was grateful all of the maids were out of here.
Getting into the master bedroom, I went straight to the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I sat on the edge of the bathtub and buried my face in my hands in shame, regretting why I let Shawn go that far with me. I mentally slapped myself in the head for being too vulnerable before him. I couldn’t believe I felt so helpless that I begged for him.
Taking my palm off my face, I heaved a deep sigh, then shook my head. “No. That’s not me. I was definitely not in my right senses.”
My mind flashed back to how he smacked the face of my pussy with his fat cock and I shivered, pressing my thighs together. I puffed out the air in my mouth, brought my hand to my forehead, and massaged my temple. This was exactly why I was trying to avoid him.
After beating myself up with my thoughts for what felt like forever, I got into the shower and scrubbed my body as though I had spent the whole day in the garbage. I want Shawn’s scent totally off me and hopefully, my body wouldn’t think about him anymore.
I rinsed, dried my body, then covered myself with a towel, and exited the bathroom.
Shawn was nowhere to be found which I was grateful for. I changed into my nightwear, picked up the duvet from the bed, then went over to the couch where I lay. It was big enough for my frame and very comfortable. I covered myself with the duvet, turned my back towards the bed view and the entrance, just so I wouldn’t see Shawn’s face whenever he decided to come in.
I couldn’t help with the tears that started to well up in my eyes. All my life, I had always tried to be strong for myself, but some days were just really tough. This wasn’t the plan but Shawn was making it so damn difficult for me to achieve my goals. The plan was to make him go insane so he was going to divorce me just like my exes but Shawn was the one making me crazy.
I sniffled, trying to calm myself. Sometimes I wished I disappeared off the face of the earth the same day my father did.
……………………..
The Next Morning.
I moaned softly, wondering how the couch got even more comfortable over the night. I had no idea when I slept off crying but I think I feel better now. With my eyes still closed, I slowly rolled on my other side. A small frown appeared on my forehead when I realized that there was more space than usual.
My eyes flashed open. Seeing that I was on the bed, I sat up immediately. “What the……?” I looked in the opposite direction of the bed and saw Shawn reach for a blue shirt and put it on.
“How did I get here?”
Shawn started to take slow steps toward the bedside while buttoning his shirt.
He took a seat at the edge of the bed. He wasn’t done buttoning up. I instantly moved two butts backward.
I could see the pain in his eyes for a moment. Was it because I moved away from him?
“You were crying in your sleep. I had to make sure you were okay.”
I scoffed, not believing Shawn’s gut or the tone of kindness in his words.
“Why do you care?” I glared at him.
“I’m your husband.” He stated firmly.
I shrugged, “So?”
“It makes no sense for you to be uncomfortable over there when there are lots of beds in this house.”
I instantly rolled my eyes at him.
“Are you fine? Did I hurt you last night?” I could see the worry in Shawn’s eyes and I couldn’t help but wonder what kind of a man I was stuck with. Somedays, he is a beast; some days he acts really kind, and other times, he reminds me that I am here to pay off my father’s debt so I need to do whatever he says.
“Stay the hell away from me,” I said with gritted teeth.
I saw his eyes on my wrist. He was probably trying to see if I got injured by the cuffs. I tucked my hands under the duvet so he couldn’t see them anymore.
“Can you walk well? If there are bruises then I can call the doctor to come check on you.”
“Then you should have thought about that before acting like a beast, you asshole!” I had no idea when I spoke at the top of my voice.
“It was a shock to you but you liked it. If you obeyed me, then you wouldn’t have experienced the playroom last night. You have no idea how much I had to restrain myself.”
“You are even cockier than I thought. Instead of justifying your silly behavior, you should have started with an apology if your behavior gave you a sleepless night!”
“I did nothing wrong. We are married and we’ve got the right to do anything we want.”
I arched a confused brow. “We?”
“You were begging for it.” He said confidently, looking deep into my eyes.
I shook my head. “I don’t know what you did to me but that wasn’t me. I meant it when I told you to stay away from me. I don’t want you talking to me or coming close to me.”
“I wonder why you keep saying that when we both know how much I want an heir.”
I shook my head, “Even if you were the only man on earth, I would rather become a nun.”
I saw pain flash across his eyes once more, but again, it quickly disappeared.
“Let’s have breakfast together.”
I stared at Shawn in shock. “You know what?” I said, taking the blanket off me.
“Fuck you!!!!” I crawled out of bed using the other side but before I knew it, Shawn cornered me against the wall.
“What now? You are going to spank my ass and take me to that nasty room?” I glared at Shawn, my chest rising and falling heavily. I could feel my body all tensed up due to his closeness and the way he was staring at me.
“You are still limping. Why did you lie to me?” His voice of concern made a shiver run down my spine but I had to remind myself not to let down my guard.
“I can’t believe people are out there on the streets without food but here you are; building shitty playrooms just because you’ve got some spare cash.”
“You’ve got no right to judge me or question my decisions. I do so much for humanity.”
“Like getting married to me in order to pay off my father’s debt when you could have just cleared the debt and asked for nothing in return?”
“It takes me nothing.”
“Then why didn’t you do that!” I challenged.
“You were the prize.”
“What?” I frowned at Shawn.
“I don’t care about the fucking debt; it’s you I want as my wife and the mother of my children.”
“So what? You are going to take me into that nasty room and have your way with me?”
“You’ve mentioned my playroom a few times now. You don’t have to go through corners. My cock is all yours. If you want me to make love to you, then just say it.”
My eyes went wide. I had no idea what vexed me more. His statement or the calmness and confidence in his voice.
