Cassie’s Pov
The Next Morning.
I tried to switch my sleeping position to the opposite side but a groan escaped me as my lower body felt really heavy. I ignored the feeling and buried my face deeper into the pillow. I was having a good sleep and I didn’t want anyone to……….. “Holy shit!” I mumbled as the memories of last night filled my mind. I shut my eyes tighter, holding onto the pillow as though my life depended on it.
I had sex with Shawn! With my eyes still closed, I brought a hand to my face and hit myself on my forehead. I couldn’t believe I let my guard down after proving tough. How the hell was I supposed to look him in the eye again and defend myself whenever he tried to bully me?
A memory of Shawn thrusting deep inside of me unconsciously crossed my mind and that made me press my thighs together but a loud groan escaped my lips because of how sore I was down there.
I couldn’t believe I ended up in a situation that I was avoiding. I get traumatized by my memories, Most especially the ones that have a significant impact on me. No doubt it was going to take me years of therapy to get through this one. Sex with Shawn was different. He was skilled in knowing how to make a woman lose her senses in bed. It’s safe to say no one is above seduction. If only my body would listen to me.
Last night, I was wrapped in the moment. But here I was, gathering strength to face the consequences of my actions. “Come on, Cass. it can’t be that bad.” I mumbled, then slowly opened my eyes.
I saw an empty space beside me and my heart fell. I felt a certain pain and I was mad at myself for feeling that way. Just after everything that happened, once again, I woke up to an empty bed.
I sat up slowly, looked to the nightstand on my left and my eyes met with a glass of water, some pain reliever, and something in a mini clear cream jar. I frowned, knowing that the space was empty before I fell asleep.
“Did Shawn put them there for me?” I mumbled, the anger in my heart slowly fading away.
I reached for the cream jar, opened it, and realized it was an ointment. “For my soreness?” I felt my cheeks heating up as I placed the little object back on the nightstand.
Putting aside the duvet, I slowly rose to my feet. I hissed at the soreness the moment I took a step. When Shawn said he wasn’t going to stop until he left me limping, I had no idea he was going to keep to his word. I was almost at the door of the bathroom when I shivered at the flashback of what was said to me before I fell asleep. This was just our first time and I felt this way. What’s going to happen if he takes me to that room?
I mentally slapped myself in the face, bringing my mind back to reality. For someone who fantasizes a lot, I hope this thought won’t be the end of me.
I got into the bathroom, soaked myself in the tub for a while and did my business. I spent more time than usual because I was limping. I made my way back to the room once I was done, and put on some clean clothes. I was almost by the nightstand when a knock came through on the door. I sat on the edge of the bed. “Come in,” I answered as I had an idea who that was.
The door opened almost immediately and Doreen pushed in a trolley of food which she placed just a few steps away from the door where she stood. I couldn’t be happier that the room had a good smell and not the other way around since we had sex in all corners of the room. Then it suddenly hit me that Shawn and I’s clothes were all gone from the floor. I didn’t see them while making my way to the bathroom. He must have cleared them right?
“Good afternoon, ma. Did you sleep well?” Doreen asked.
I frowned. “Afternoon?”
“Yes, ma. It’s just a few minutes past noon.”
“Ohhh!” I mumbled. Shawn definitely broke me because this was my first time waking up at this hour.
“Master said you are not feeling too well hence, I should monitor you closely. I brought you some food,” Doreen said.
I brought my hand up to my cheek, trying my best to hide my blush. He was rough with me yesterday but in a good way. Does that make me sick?
“Do you still feel sick? I can call the doctor if you want?”
“NO….NO… I’m fine, thank you.”
“And thank you for the food.”
Doreen nodded. “Please call me if you need anything.”
She was about to take her leave when I stopped her. “What time is Shawn coming back?”
“In a few days?”
I frowned. “What do you mean?”
“He is on a business trip and will be back in a few days.”
I parted my lips to say something but words failed me. “Busi…..ness trip? When did he leave for that?”
“Before 6 this morning,” Doreen responded.
My eyes got itchy with tears but I sighed deeply in a bid to push back the tears.
“Thank you for the food but please take it with you, I’m not hungry.”
“Are you sure, Ma’am? If you don’t like this, I can ask the chef to prepare something else for you.”
“Go with the trolley, I will let you know when I need anything,” I said, this time around not looking at Doreen.
She obeyed and wheeled the trolley out.
“What were you expecting?” I chuckled the moment Doreen shut the door behind her. I brought a finger to my face and wiped the tear in the corner of my eyes. My heart ached and I was mad at myself for feeling that way. He cuddled me after an exhausting night and now he disappeared miles away.
“I can’t believe I fell for his tricks. No doubt he is using me to get his heirs.” I mumbled, trying to relieve myself from the pain I was feeling in my heart.
“You are here to pay off your father’s debt. Remember that.”
“And who knows, he could be with another woman right now, having the time of his life.” My heart ached even more thinking of this. Suddenly, the thought of his fat cock being in a hole that wasn’t mine made me more angry.
“You are such a big fool, Cassie.” I sighed, massaging the temple.
A knock came through on the door, bringing me out of my thoughts.
“Please take your leave, Doreen. I will let you know when I need you.”
“Oh! Hi! This is not Doreen.” I heard back from a feminine voice I had never heard before.
Confused, I rose to my feet and limped towards the entrance. I opened the door and came face to face with a woman who smiled back at me. I couldn’t guess her age but she looked really young. She was in casual clothes and also had a crossbody bag on her.
“Hi, I’m Kayla.”
My heart skipped, wondering who she was and what she was doing here.
“Shawn’s sister. He sent me here to come take care of you.”
