Shawn’s pov
I would never lay my hands on a woman, no matter what. The highest the old me would have done was to mess them up with words. But with all that I’ve done to Stella so far, I do not regret it one bit.
Gone were those days when she could move me with her tears. But right now, I feel nothing but hatred towards her.
“This is going to be my final warning to you! If you dare call my wife silly names again, I won’t regret all that I will do to you.”
Stella was about to speak when I stopped her. “I don’t care if I’ve known you my whole life. I don’t give a damn if my family has close relations with your family. Cassie is my wife. You disrespect her, you disrespect me!”
“And yes, I’ll love, cherish, protect, and trust my wife over any of my exes.”
Stella took her hand away from her face. But her eyes were still filled with tears. “I don’t know what she told you, but she’s not who you think she is. She was about to attack me, but I defended myself, and that makes me the bad one?”
“You raised your hand on a woman because of another pretentious woman, and that makes you feel better about yourself?” She said loudly and with a teary voice.
“Defended yourself?” I scoffed. “Do you know how much pain she’s in right now all because of you? You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to act righteous before me when you’ve gone to say silly things to her behind me.”
“For fucks sake Stella, you are married with kids. What more do you want from me?!”
I remembered the exact words Cassie said, and I began to feel angry all over again. I took a step closer to Stella, and she instantly moved a step backwards.
“You told her you groomed me sexually? How fucking dare you? Don’t you feel ashamed of yourself while saying such?” I was tired of balling my fist, but God knows I was doing my best to control my emotions. I have always never cared about people, but knowing Stella hurt my wife hurt me deeper than I can even explain.
“Where’s the lie?” She said with tear-filled eyes, but her voice sounded so confident. Almost as though she was challenging me.
“What?” I voiced out as though I didn’t hear her well.
“You know what I’m talking about, Shawn. You literally knew nothing when we got together. I initiated all the good stuff! I made you be a badass fucker! I trained you! I made us explore. I made you realize that so much pleasure can be derived from the red room and not just harm. So yes, I made you a dominating man! All thanks to me, she’s enjoying all that I’ve equipped you with.”
“And instead of you being bitchy towards me, you and your wife should thank me!”
“She tripped, and all I said to her was nothing but the truth. If she’s triggered by them, then it has nothing to do with me.” Stella said, staring at me with challenging eyes.
I stared firmly at Stella. I would have been surprised at her words, but after all she did to my wife, I could confirm that she was now a psycho.
“You claiming credit cos you are the first person I tried most of these stuff with? You are crazy!” I attacked.
“No, I’m not! Since your wife is trying to act like she’s better than me, then I need to remind you of the humble beginnings. She brainwashed you, so the reminder is a must!”
Since Stella was acting fucking entitled, I saw the need to put her in her place so I took steps towards her. She probably thought I was going to attack her again as she moved two steps backwards too.
“Cassie is better than you.”
She frowned, then spat in disgust! “What?”
“You heard me! And I wish I had met her earlier.”
“You’re dumb if you think I am still the old Shawn. I give you my word that all that happened between us is nothing compared with what I have with my wife.” I said, then chuckled. “You think I am still the way you left me? That’s why you went ahead to spew nasty talk to her?”
Stella scoffed. “I wasn’t expecting you to give in because you are arrogant. It doesn’t matter whether you agree to it or not. I helped your life, and you know it!”
“You didn’t! I would have let this go because you are not important to waste time on, and so are your words, but I’m going to go the crazy route with you if I have to protect my wife.”
“You’re not over me and that’s none of my freaking business!”
“Of course it is!!!!!! You’re nothing but a cruel man. You refused all with me and suddenly, you want to settle down and have kids with a debtor's daughter whom you picked up by the trash!!!!!”
I grabbed Stella by the collar. Her eyes were suddenly filled with fear, and she started to fight me. I pushed her against her chair, my deadly eyes not leaving her. “So this is it? You are fucking jealous that I’m with another woman, that’s why you wanna kill my wife. I know you’ve dug deep. You’ve gathered information that has nothing to do with you. But I’m going to give you an official warning!” I was saying when Stella interrupted.
“Wake up, Shawn! I’m sure she’s going to agree with me that she is not a good fit for you. You both looked so ridiculous together on that stage! Are your Dad and siblings aware that you brought a gold digger into your home all in the name of lust? Or do you think I don’t know that those crazy people who caused a scene are related to her?”
“So that’s why you told her I’m going to discard her after she gives birth to my child?” I challenged.
“Of course! Why else would you keep such a low life as a wife?” She said in disgust.
My eyes met with her a mug on Stella’s desk. I reached for it and I couldn’t be more glad to see dark coffee in it.
Without thinking twice, I emptied the coffee on Stella.
She let out a scream and jumped up from the chair. The coffee was hot. I had no idea how hot and I honestly didn’t care. But I saw tears rolling down her cheeks. I drenched her from her hair and the substance rolled down her dress, messing up her look in total.
I tossed the mug back to the desk.
Stella was about to attack me with her words, but I pushed her back against the chair.
“Stay the hell away from me and my wife! Cassie is my queen. And I wouldn’t think twice about harming you if you mess with her again.”
“I don’t fucking care what you know or what we’ve had in the past. That woman is my life! No one. Not even you would stop me from treating her right!”
“Bitch!!!!” I threw a final glare at a teary Stella, after which I stormed out of her office.
……………
“Please, we need to see him. It’s urgent.” I heard a familiar voice say as I approached the reception.
“Yes! We are literally here to save his life. Just tell him his in-laws want to have a word with him.” The other voice said.
From their back frame, I could tell who they were. I ignored and took steps towards the elevator.
“Mom, look. There is his.” I heard the voice say, followed by footsteps behind me that were trying to catch up with me.
