With one sharp kick, I sent Alexander sprawling onto the pavement, his desperate grip on my ankle useless against the force of my strike.
I wrenched the amulets from his shaking hands, my lips twisting into a bitter smirk as I ripped them apart, one by one.
His mouth trembled, his eyes wide with shock—like he couldn't believe what was happening.
I stared down at him, ice in my gaze.
"Alexander, I loved you once. With everything I had. But you crushed that love. Lied to me. Humiliated me. And now? Now you can't even let go when I already have. How pathetic."
The words struck him like a physical blow. He stumbled back, breathless, as if I'd knocked the air from his lungs.
Before he could recover, I grabbed Tristan's hand, lacing our fingers together as I stood firmly beside him.
"Who said I'm with him just to spite you?" My voice was sharp, unyielding. "If we're talking about love—the man I love is him. Not you. The only thing I feel for you now? Gratitude. Nothing more."
I leaned in, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "Don't make me despise you, Alexander."
In the chaos of our confrontation, I hadn't even noticed Tristan quietly signaling the Walker family's bodyguards. Within moments, they surrounded us, guiding us safely through the airport doors.
Alexander's furious shouts faded behind us, drowned out by the hum of the terminal. I didn't look back. My focus stayed locked on Tristan, his fingers warm and steady around mine.
And for the first time, I knew—without a single doubt—that my future would be everything I'd ever wanted.
