Sean had planned to keep this under wraps, but he hadn't expected Eunice to know. He shot her a look and saw her immediately lower her head, guilty.
After thinking for a moment, however, Sean decided to cover for Zoe. "Well, it's not what you think. The company's system glitched that day. It had nothing to do with Zoe."
"That's not true! Sean, even now, you're still defending that wretch bitch!" Eunice was completely stunned. She never imagined that at a time like this, Sean would still take Zoe's side.
She believed that he was fooled by Zoe.
