Meanwhile, Shawn had also arrived in Yaniston, leading Chase and the rest of his team. They were all dressed in plain clothes at the airport docks.
Chase held a tracker and said calmly, "Boss, this is the spot. Our intel indicates that the stolen weapons will be sold at tonight's arms deal."
Shawn nodded, and the group of members with him looked strangely excited.
"We finally get sent overseas for a mission, but before we can even try out those soft hotel beds, we're already about to get into a fight. What a pity."
"Stop talking nonsense. When has any of our missions ever been easy? If you'd been on the battlefield with the boss and seen all that blood and carnage, you'd know how lucky we are right now."
Before they could finish, Shawn suddenly frowned. Catching his look, Chase immediately raised his hand and gave the silent signal. They quickly fell silent and began to look for places to hide.
Chase gave Shawn the all clear hand sign. Shawn nodded, and with a quick turn, his tall, commanding figure slipped away into the darkness.
Whenever it came to charging into battle, Shawn was always the first to go in. Once he made a move, the enemy never stood a chance. Even the Firefox of the battlefield had to admit defeat.
After they hid, it wasn't long before both groups arrived, their voices flooded the place.
"Kingston, what's the deal with this dump? You picked this spot for our trade. Are you worried that I might deceive you?" The leader asked, chewing on a betel nut, his tone cold and threatening.
Kingston retorted, "Chuck, you've pulled plenty of shady tricks over the years. It's not easy for us to get our hands on weapons, especially with Clusia cracking down harder every year.
"If Shawn wasn't away from camp this time, you wouldn't have had a chance to sneak in."
Chuck just chuckled, spitting his betel nut onto the ground. "Come on, don't talk like that. We've worked together for ages. When have I ever ripped you off? We're friends. I'd never cheat you over."
Kingston didn't believe him and asked, "Enough talk. Did you bring the money?"
"You're always in such a rush. At least let me check the goods first," Chuck replied.
Kingston said, "Didn't you just say we've worked together for years? When have my goods ever had a problem?"
Chuck shrugged. "I still need to check everything."
The two kept trading barbs, the tension in the air thick enough to cut. Soon, Kingston signaled, and two of his guys carried over a long wooden crate.
"My stuff's right here. Where's your money?" Kingston demanded.
Chuck grinned. "I've had the money ready for ages. Bring the case over!" he called out.
At Chuck's command, someone quickly brought a case to Kingston and opened it in front of him.
Inside, stacks of Yaniston bills were neatly arranged. Kingston immediately started checking the cash, while Chuck and his group went to inspect the goods.
Suddenly, a burst of gunfire erupted from the side.
A tall, striking figure darted forward. In the next instant, Shawn emerged from the shadows, and with his subordinates covering him, he snapped the arms of several guards from both groups at the edge of the scene.
With a sickening crack, his powerful arms proved their strength. Within moments, he'd twisted the necks of several criminals, spinning their heads a full 360 degrees. Blood sprayed as they dropped, so fast that Kingston and Chuck didn't even have time to react.
"Watch out!"
"Someone's hijacking the weapons!"
"Kill him! Take him out!"
Kingston and Chuck shouted in panic, calling for their subordinates, but it was too late. Up against Shawn's fists, the fight was over before it even began.
