The whole Clusian racing team met up with Zoe outside the track, then headed back to the hotel together. With the race over, it was time to get ready to go back to Clusia.
On the way, everyone was all smiles, chatting and laughing like never before. Zoe, as usual, kept her calm and distant vibe—that was just who she was.
Once they got to the hotel, everyone went off to pack up. Henry had already booked the return flights, so all that was left was to wait for the time to leave.
Zoe barely had any luggage, so she finished packing quickly and was the first one down in the hotel lobby.
Henry and a few other racers showed up next. When they saw Zoe already waiting, they all hurried over, grinning.
"Zoe, you've made Clusia and the whole Clusian Racing Association proud. When we get back, we're throwing you a big celebration—every top racer in Clusia is going to hear about what you've done!"
"No one's ever gotten this kind of treatment before. I can already picture how awesome it's going to be."
"Zoe, you've got to teach us how to race when we get back. After watching you out there, I realized everything I learned before was useless—no wonder I kept losing."
Zoe stayed quiet as everyone was talking. Just as the group was gathering, a blond, blue-eyed man from Yaniston suddenly rushed into the hotel lobby,
He looked around quickly, then fixed his eyes on Zoe and jogged over.
The Clusian team had already been hassled enough, so everyone automatically thought he was here to cause trouble. Henry immediately stepped in front of Zoe, blocking the man.
But what happened next surprised everyone completely. Realizing he couldn't get close to Zoe, the man suddenly shouted at the top of his lungs, "Fox!"
The moment he yelled, Henry and the other Clusian racers were all stunned.
"Fox is here?" Even Henry, who was usually so calm, couldn't keep it together and started looking around nervously.
Even though Henry had said before that Zoe was probably Fox, he still didn't want to believe it.
Or maybe, he just wanted Zoe to admit she was Fox, instead of accepting in his heart that someone he knew could be that amazing.
Even though Zoe had just taken first place on the international stage with an incredible performance.
While Henry and the Clusian racers were frantically searching for Fox, racers from other countries—including Daniel, who had just lost—were also coming back to the hotel.
Daniel was already in a bad mood. He walked into the hotel with his crew, ready to cause trouble for Zoe. But the moment he stepped inside and heard someone shout "Fox", his eyelid started twitching.
"Fox?" Daniel's eyes narrowed. As soon as he saw the blond, blue-eyed guy, he strode right over.
"Like Fox would actually show up here." Daniel kicked the blond man aside and snapped, "Get lost! Stop making a scene."
The guy was blocking his way to Zoe. After dealing with him, Daniel looked at Zoe and growled, "I told you to stop provoking me. How dare you embarrass me in front of everyone on the track?
"You all think you can just pack up and leave, huh? Well, I'm here to tell you—you're done for. None of you is leaving Yaniston alive."
"Get them!" Daniel barked. At his command, several big guys behind him charged forward. They looked tough and strong.
In just a few seconds, the Clusian racers were knocked aside. Two of the thugs moved in from each side, ready to grab Zoe.
Just as the two men were about to reach Zoe, a cold, fierce look flashed in her eyes.
Suddenly, a man's loud roar echoed through the room, "As long as I'm here, no one can threaten her."
The blond, blue-eyed man rushed up to Zoe again, standing firm. "I'm Fox's protector. I won't let anyone hurt her."
Daniel shot him a cold glare, looking at him like he was crazy. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
Clearly, Daniel thought the guy was out of his mind. He thought, 'Mistaking Zoe for the legendary Fox? He has to be nuts.'
Henry and his group, still on the floor, lowered their heads in disappointment when they saw the blond guy calling out to Zoe. They all thought he was just a crazy person talking nonsense.
"Where's Fox?" Brady just walked back into the hotel at that moment. Hearing all the noise, his voice got excited—any frustration from losing the race was gone.
"Paul Hawke?" Brady froze when he saw the blond man shouting "Fox" loudly.
Paul Hawke was the former head of Yaniston Racing Association. He was not just some crazy person.
Everyone in the room was stunned. But what really shocked them wasn't Paul's identity.
Back when Paul was president of Yaniston Racing Association, he was the only person in the world known to have seen Fox's real face—and he even got personal guidance from Fox.
People had said, "Fox is so mysterious. If anyone can reveal her true identity, it has to be Paul Hawke. Otherwise, we might never know who Fox really is."
Now, Paul—the one who had actually met Fox—was standing right here. He might look a little unhinged, but his words had real authority.
If he dared to call Zoe "Fox" in front of everyone, that meant the girl who just crushed the race was Fox.
People wondered, 'Is Zoe really the legendary Fox—the most mysterious and unbeatable racer in the world?'
