"Sophia, I'm coming in," Samuel said, pulling out a key and getting ready to unlock Sophia's door.
Realizing she couldn't avoid it anymore, Sophia got up and opened the door herself. "Samuel, Alex, Simon, I really don't feel like going downstairs right now," she said.
"But it's your birthday. How can you not go?" Samuel said.
"What's the point? Just so everyone can laugh at me? Now everyone knows I'll never marry Shawn, and he dumped me in front of everyone. I'm already the joke of the night," Sophia said, her eyes brimming with tears.
Samuel's voice turned firm. "We're settling this tonight. Dad and I talked it over. Besides your birthday, we're making the Ludwig family take a stand. Either they acknowledge you, or they cut ties with Zoe for good."
"If the Ludwig family picks Zoe, then don't blame us for being rude. We're not pushoevers," he added.
"Tonight?" Sophia blinked in surprise.
