This was a recording of a conversation between Bruno and Sophia, which Zoe found on Bruno's phone after he exposed Sophia as his partner.
The woman's voice was unmistakably Sophia. "I want Zoe dead. Can't you move any faster? Don't you want to get revenge for your son?
"Since you've already found the orphanage, kill a kid every so often. By the time Zoe shows up, most of those kids will probably be dead. I want to see her cry. I want to watch her fall apart.
"When she finally breaks, get someone to kill her. It'll definitely work."
All those vicious words really did come straight from Sophia's mouth.
Her voice was so cold and ruthless, she didn't sound like a girl at all. Even hardened criminals from the underworld probably weren't as cruel as her.
When everyone finished listening to the recording, they all stared at Sophia in shock and horror, instinctively backing away from her in unison.
As for Sophia herself, she was completely stunned. She never imagined Bruno had recorded her back then, let alone that Zoe would end up with the evidence.
In an instant, a wave of panic crashed over her, making every cell in her body tremble uncontrollably. She was shaking all over, terrified.
She thought, 'What should I do? What am I supposed to do now?'
Stephen had been there the whole time. He'd originally planned to use the White family's influence to help arrange a marriage alliance, hoping it would pave his way to becoming the Ludwig family's head.
But he never expected that Sophia would be so vicious. He was scared out of his wits on the spot.
Scheming against Amy was one thing, but murdering over three hundred people was a whole different level. What a nightmare.
If Shawn really married someone as vicious as Sophia, even if the White family supported him, he'd be lucky if they didn't end up killing him.
Clara was shaken too. She didn't know anything about that orphanage, but if Sophia really was a killer...
Then dealing with the White family would be like playing with fire. She needed to get out of there as soon as possible.
Seeing all this, the guests who'd come to the birthday party started leaving one after another, not daring to stick around.
The White family watched in silence as the guests hurried out.
They were all completely stunned by the evidence Zoe had just played for everyone to hear.
None of them had ever imagined Zoe would actually come up with proof, and the contents of that recording completely shattered the image they had of Sophia. They never expected Sophia would do something so heartless and cruel.
"Dad, Mom, it's not true. That recording is fake," Sophia cried, seeing the shock and suspicion in her family's eyes. She tried desperately to defend herself, clinging to any hope she had left.
But it was too late. Zoe had seen this coming and was a step ahead. She immediately played even more recordings right there on the spot.
She even had a video of Sophia working with Daniel back then. With all this evidence, there was no way Sophia could deny it anymore.
As everything came to light, the White family all stared at Sophia in utter disbelief, eyes wide, completely frozen in shock.
None of them could look away from Sophia, their eyes filled with fear, astonishment, confusion, and deep doubt.
"Even so, I'll make sure you know why I'm killing you," Zoe sneered, striding toward Sophia.
She was dead set on carrying out her plan, killing Sophia to avenge those children.
As Zoe approached, Sophia's mind flashed with memories of Zoe's ruthlessness. She could almost feel a blade at her own throat. At that moment, real terror finally took hold of her.
She screamed and begged for help, "I didn't do it. I didn't. Samuel, help me. Dad, Mom, she's framing me. She just wants to marry into the Ludwig family. If I'm gone, there's no one left to compete with her..."
Sophia's desperate cries finally snapped her three brothers out of their daze.
They absolutely doted on Sophia. No matter what, if Sophia said the recording was fake, as her family, they'd always choose to believe her over Zoe.
So the second Zoe made a move, the three of them jumped in too. They had been trained since they were kids. They weren't easy to mess with.
"Go," Samuel shouted. Instantly, Alex moved in sync, the two of them attacking Zoe from both sides, just to give Simon a shot.
Spotting his chance, Simon sprang forward at almost the exact same moment, swinging a straight punch right at Zoe's head. He was fast and fierce, not holding back at all.
Simon's punch was the hardest of the three, and they were all sure that with this combo, Zoe would be knocked out cold on the spot.
It was rare for the three brothers to fight together, but when they did, their teamwork made them nearly unstoppable.
Up until now, whenever the three of them joined forces, they'd never met anyone who could take them down.
But this time, they were extra cautious. After all, each of them had already gone up against Zoe one-on-one not long ago.
Just then, Zoe suddenly broke free from Samuel and Alex. By the time Simon's fist came crashing down, she'd already vanished from where she'd been standing.
Instead, Simon's punch slammed straight into the floor, shattering the marble tiles beneath him.
That alone showed just how much power he'd put into that punch.
"Stop. Please, everyone, stop fighting." Anna, gentle by nature, couldn't stand to see things get so heated. She called out anxiously, desperate to put an end to the chaos.
But the three brothers were already fired up by Zoe's challenge. There was no way they'd back down now, not until someone came out on top.
Samuel was a boxing expert, while Alex specialized in kicks. The two exchanged a look, ready to attack Zoe from above and below again. This time, they were sure she wouldn't be able to block it.
Samuel threw a hook and a straight punch, aiming for Zoe's chin and stomach.
At the same moment, Alex slid in low, sweeping his leg out to try and break Zoe's legs, perfectly in sync with Samuel.
"Take this." Their teamwork was flawless, not a beat out of step.
Samuel's punches had left plenty of people with broken bones, and Alex's kicks had snapped more than a few legs.
When the two of them teamed up, nobody could beat them, not even international champions.
And just as it looked like they were about to take Zoe down, something absolutely unbelievable happened. In the blink of an eye, Zoe...
