When Joseph actually pulled out that evidence, Sophia's face instantly drained of color.
When she saw her father pick it up, his face dark and serious, her panic only grew.
Almost losing her mind, Sophia rushed forward, trying to stop him. "Dad, don't look! Please, you can't—just don't!"
If it was just about Zoe, she could have blamed it on jealousy, but there was no excuse for what happened to Amy.
Hurting someone from the Ludwig family was a crime neither the White nor the Ludwig families could tolerate. No matter how much the White family spoiled Sophia, she'd still face serious consequences.
Sophia tried to stop her father, but it was too late. He had already seen all the evidence and photos.
His hands shook so badly in disbelief that he dropped all the photos and documents on the floor.
He was completely ashamed, unable to say a single word.
Now, with everything out in the open, everyone in the White family could see the evidence lying at his feet.
When Samuel, Alex, and Simon saw what was on the floor, they stared at Sophia in shock, their voices full of accusation.
"How could you, Sophia..." they asked.
With everyone turning against her, Sophia knew it was all over.
She suddenly collapsed to the ground in a daze, while Anna fainted right then and there.
The three brothers rushed forward to catch her, and the whole room descended into chaos.
But Sophia couldn't care less about any of that. Tears streaming down her face, she tried to defend herself, "Dad, brothers, I-I didn't mean to! I just couldn't stand seeing Zoe being accepted by them. I never wanted to hurt Mrs. Ludwig, I swear!"
"Shut up!" Eric exploded with anger, striding over and landing a loud, heavy slap right across Sophia's face.
The slap echoed through the room, and Sophia's tears fell uncontrollably.
She thought bitterly, 'I've always been the family's little princess. When have I ever been slapped or suffered like this?'
She sobbed, "Dad, you—"
"Shut up! How dare you even speak? Do you have any idea how much trouble you've brought on the White family?
"From now on, you go straight to your room. You're not allowed to take a single step out of this house without my permission. If you do, you can get out and never come back!" Eric roared.
Joseph realized he shouldn't stick around any longer and swept out of the house.
Eric, unfazed by Sophia's sobbing, called over two servants. "Take her back to her room."
From that moment on, the White family kept Sophia under strict watch, completely cutting her off from the outside world.
Her phone, iPad, laptop, Bluetooth earbuds—even her drone—anything she could use to contact anyone was confiscated.
She was only allowed to walk around the second floor. Being locked up like this was enough to drive Sophia crazy.
Three days later, Sophia couldn't take it anymore. She racked her brain, desperate for a way out.
There was no way she'd just let Zoe off the hook. Zoe had ruined her, so she was determined to make Zoe pay.
After thinking it over, Sophia finally came up with a plan. She'd start with her three brothers, the ones who doted on her most.
At home, Anna might seem gentle and reasonable, but when it came to her bottom line, she never compromised.
As for her dad, he was too busy cleaning up her mess to let her go out and stir up more trouble.
So really, her brothers were her safest bet.
Of the three, Samuel, the eldest, loved Sophia the most, but she also knew he was the hardest to fool.
So she set her sights on Alex, who was blunt, and Simon, who was a bit simple-minded.
If she could win those two over, she wasn't worried about convincing Samuel.
Sophia stationed herself by the stairs, ready to put her plan into action.
