"What's so great about your country?" Zoe asked.
Her voice was cold, cocky, and sharp as a knife. The foreign experts immediately turned to look at her.
The loudest one among them froze when he saw Zoe, who was just a teenager. Then he burst out laughing.
"Wow, there's a little girl?" he mocked. "Hey, kid, are you even an adult? Did you think this was a circus?"
As Zoe stepped closer, the man tilted his head up with a smug smile. "You wanna know what makes our country great? Fine, I'll tell you."
"Let's talk about medical care. Your equipment is the worst I've ever seen," he continued, "Even our poorest areas have better stuff than your junk. But I get it—you're all poor and uneducated. This is probably the best you can do."
He laughed hard, and the others joined in like he had told the funniest joke ever.
Zoe lowered her eyes and chuckled. "Medical care, huh?"
She kept walking. "Sounds like you don't know much about Clusia's system. Maybe I should show you."
Before the man could react, Zoe suddenly punched him hard in the stomach. The researchers nearby screamed in shock.
It was a brutal hit. The man's laughing face twisted in pain, his eyes wide, pupils shrinking. For a second, it felt like all his insides were crushed.
Then, with a violent heave, he spat out a mouthful of blood and dropped to the floor, twitching, unable to move.
Everyone froze in horror, especially the foreign experts who had just been mocking Clusians.
"Oh my god!" one of them screamed, covering his face. Then the others all started shouting.
"He's dead! A Clusian just killed someone!"
"You people are savages! You killed someone right in front of us!"
"Get a doctor! Help him!"
The foreigners panicked, yelling and running around.
A doctor from their team rushed over to check on the man, but quickly turned pale.
"It's over. He's hurt too bad," the doctor said. "How can a kid have that kind of strength? He's not going to make it."
The experts were stunned. They couldn't believe that a teenage girl had taken one of them out with a single punch.
Then the shock turned to rage.
"You'll pay for this! Especially that crazy girl! This is an international incident! We'll report this!"
"Yeah! She needs to go to court! A killer like her deserves to die!"
As their shouting grew louder, the researchers from Jelonsburg stood frozen with fear.
They had wanted to punch that loudmouth too—but they never expected Zoe to actually kill him. Things had gone way too far.
Even so, Joyce stepped forward without hesitation and stood in front of Zoe, saying, "Yes, we hurt one of your people. Do whatever you think you have to do.
"But you insulted us and our country in public. You need to take responsibility for that too."
For the pride of Clusia, Joyce and the others were clearly ready to take the fall for what Zoe had done.
One of the foreign experts had already pulled out his phone, ready to make a call.
"Don't think this is over," he said angrily. "I'm calling the embassy right now. They'll deal with this murderer!"
But Zoe didn't care at all about their threats. She just smiled and said, "Didn't you want to see Clusia's medical tech? Fine. I'll show you."
Then she reached her hand toward Claude. "Give me a pill."
Claude, who had been frozen in shock, finally snapped out of it.
"Right! I've got RevitaCore!" he said, quickly pulling a small box out of his pocket and handing one of the pills he just made to Zoe.
Without hesitation, Zoe pushed the pill into the mouth of the foreign man who had already been declared beyond saving by their top doctor. The pill slid down into his stomach.
Everyone watched in shock. The foreign experts were furious and started shouting again.
"What did you just give him?"
"You killed him, and now you're insulting his dead body! You're a monster!"
"We're leaving!"
"Yeah! Clusians are disgusting! When they lose at tech, they turn to violence—and then mess with the body like this!"
"Totally insane!"
"Unbelievable!"
They all truly believed that man was dead and didn't even try to help him. But just then, something shocking happened.
The man—who had been lying there still and pale—suddenly sat up, right in front of everyone, like nothing had happened.
Everyone jumped.
"What... what happened to me?" he mumbled, confused. "I was in so much pain... I thought I was going to die... but now..."
He touched his stomach, the spot where Zoe had punched him. But there was no pain. It was like he had never been hit at all.
"This doesn't make sense. I swear I was dying just now. But not only am I alive—I feel great. Like, really great. What is going on?" he said.
The man stood up, looking stunned and excited. His words left the group of foreign experts speechless. They had been ready to punish Zoe—and now they didn't know what to say.
The top foreign doctor rushed over and did a quick check. After a moment, he gasped. "All his vitals are normal... This is incredible. What kind of medicine is this? It brought someone back from the brink of death!"
Hearing this, the foreign experts stood there with their mouths hanging open, totally shocked.
