Most of the people here were influential figures with impressive backgrounds.
Especially those foreigners, who had already been humiliated by Zoe twice, now saw a chance to get back at her and started shouting slogans of condemnation.
"That fraud doesn't deserve to be here with us!"
"Damn right! Get out!"
"She must be kicked out!"
The crowd was shouting and jeering at Zoe, as if she had committed the most unforgivable crime in the world.
Some even threatened to expose her online, letting everyone know the Evans family had raised a pathological liar.
How utterly ridiculous. Zoe watched the chaos in silence.
The five brothers could no longer stay silent. They immediately formed a protective circle around Zoe, shielding her from the hostile crowd. "Zoe, get out of here now!"
"Zoe, let us handle this. You should leave now. It's the safer option."
"Gerald, get Zoe out of here now!" Sean commanded sharply.
In an instant, Gerald seized Zoe's arm, ready to pull her to safety.
The more things played out this way, the more convinced Eunice became that Zoe being the legendary Kestrel was nothing but a scam.
Eunice immediately stepped forward and said, her voice dripping with false concern, "Zoe, you can't just leave. You owe everyone here an apology. Nobody likes being deceived!"
"Shut up, all of you!" Amid the chaos, the man suddenly sprang to his feet.
Pointing furiously at Eunice and her group, he shouted, "You're all idiots. That fifty-something guy you keep talking about? He's just Kestrel's assistant. The real Kestrel is her, a teenage genius, a prodigy!"
Unfortunately, his words didn't convince anyone.
"Shut up! Still covering for her at a time like this?"
"If she's Kestrel, then I'm an alien!"
"Yeah, and I'm the president!"
The crowd dismissed the merchant's claims outright. Under questioning, the merchant's face flushed crimson with frustration.
"You don't believe me? Fine, I'll make you eat your words," he snapped, whipping out his phone and showing everyone a photo.
"What's this?" someone in the crowd asked.
"Holy shit! Is that a video of Kestrel crafting weapons? How the hell did you get this?"
Footage of Kestrel crafting weapons is extremely rare in circulation. But it's not entirely nonexistent.
The video clip they saw lasted only a few seconds and showed Kestrel crafting weapons, but her face was never revealed.
But this merchant's video ran several seconds longer than the others. It was the complete, uncut version.
In those extra seconds, it was undeniably clear: the person making the weapon was a young woman. She had exquisitely beautiful, striking features. She was standing right there in front of them. It was Zoe herself.
The revelation struck like a thunderbolt from the blue, electrifying every nerve of those present.
Time seemed to stand still. The crowd gasped in disbelief.
"It's really her!"
"She truly is Kestrel!"
"Good Lord! If a young woman is this amazing, what hope do we ordinary folks have?"
"I actually offended Kestrel," A foreign officer cried out, frantically grabbing his hair. "How am I supposed to explain this to my superior officers? They'll have my head for this!"
As the crowd reeled from the shock, no one was more devastated than Clara and Eunice.
Clara staggered back, eyes wide in disbelief, and collapsed into her chair.
She muttered, "My daughter is actually Clara? The very daughter I always looked down on is Kestrel I've been desperate for Eunice to befriend? How could this be possible?"
Eunice burned with humiliation, her face turning scarlet. She remembered how Clara had gone to great lengths to secure her a place as Kestrel's apprentice. Back then, Eunice had imagined a bright future ahead.
'No one would ever dare look down on me again,' she had thought. But at that moment, Eunice felt like the biggest fool alive.
The person she had longed to apprentice under was actually her sister, Zoe, the very one she had always loathed.
'This has to be fate's cruelest joke,' Eunice thought bitterly.
"No. This can't...be happening..." Eunice muttered, dazed and unable to accept the truth.
Bruce's hands trembled uncontrollably. He knew his daughter was capable, but he never imagined she could be this extraordinary.
'Just how many more hidden identities does my precious daughter still have yet to reveal?' he wondered.
Charlie shouted, "Zoe, I'm completely blown away by you. Just how many secret identities are you hiding from me? Come clean today and spill the beans."
