"If she ever turns murderous, she might not even spare her own family. Eunice, for your own safety, you must stay away from her, understand?" Clara's fearful retreat sent a chill up Eunice's spine.
"Mom, she's your own daughter. Can't you even control her? And now you want me to suck up to her? Why on earth should I?" asked Eunice.
"You silly girl, she's been out in the world for years and has those deadly skills. There must be someone or something backing her that we don't know about... I'm just worried you'll get hurt if you confront her head-on," Clara said.
But to Eunice, it felt like she might lose the only ally she had in this family.

"Is this your attitude? Fine. I'll call someone right now and you'll regret messing with me!" Sophia snapped, whipping out her phone and dialing a number.

On the other end of the line, Rick's booming voice rang out. "What's going on? Who dared to bully you?"
"Shawn wants to call off our engagement! The Ludwig and White families have long acknowledged this marriage arrangement, and now his sudden decision has turned both me and the White family into a laughing stock!"
