"Oh, now that you mention it, that's James Pierce! His institute's formula for that strong lung cancer drug has the whole medical world fighting over it."
The exchange between these two left the onlookers utterly stunned.
So Pierce, inventor of the lung cancer wonder drug—a middle-aged man crying his eyes out—turned out to be a big shot. Whoever impressed him that much must be someone special.
Just as everyone was still too stunned to close their dropped jaws, another person spoke up. "You've finally shown up! Do you know how desperately the International Racing Association has been searching for you?
"At any hint of you, we've looked everywhere. Each time we searched, we were disappointed. But when we heard about your race in Yaniston, we knew you hadn't given up racing. That's great news!"
After the man excitedly knelt on one knee before Zoe and bowed to her, everyone was left utterly speechless.
This time, it wasn't just jaw-dropping; their minds went completely blank.
"A-Am I dreaming? The President of the International Racing Association is actually bowing to a young girl?" someone gasped.
"I must be seeing things," another muttered in disbelief.
The sight was too much. One spectator actually passed out cold.
Then another man stepped forward, but before he could say a word, the crowd erupted in chaos.
"Oh God, just let me faint already!" a spectator gasped.
"At this point, I've come to terms with all of this. Even if some official came and knelt before her, I wouldn't even bat an eye," another muttered.
"Didn't they say she was just the daughter of an ordinary businessman? If this is 'ordinary,' then what are we—trash?" someone else groaned.
"Somebody help me up. I must still be drunk and not awake yet," another person said.
As the audience gave up resisting the harsh truth, Sophia's expression darkened.
At first, she had genuinely believed these were just paid to back Zoe up, but she never imagined each one would turn out to be such a big shot.
But she wouldn't give up. The more impressive these people were, the more she wanted to badmouth Zoe, ensuring she could never clear her name.
Sophia sneered, "Zoe, just admit it. You're sleeping with all these men, aren't you? Why else would men of their status go along with your little act?
"You really are shameless! If you have even a shred of decency left, get out right now!"
"Get out!" Someone in the crowd started the chant, and soon the whole audience joined in, arms raised, voices rising in unison.
"Silence, all of you! Anyone who dares disrespect her will be considered an enemy of our alliance. From now on, your countries will never obtain a single weapon blueprint from us," declared a man.
The speaker was none other than the current head of the International Elite Weapons Design Alliance, who was once Zoe's follower.
While most people present might not recognize the others, everyone here instantly recognized Tobias Dawson, the weapons design prodigy.
After all, he was the world's top weapons designer, second only to the legendary Kestrel.
Every nation strived to strengthen its military might, and advanced weaponry was essential to that goal.
Yet no matter how hard they tried, their weapons always lagged a step behind Tobias' designs. As a result, his blueprints have become priceless treasures, coveted by all, but obtained by few.
So of course, the whole world knew a talent like him. And honestly, every country would love to pay a fortune to poach him for themselves.
Yet here was Tobias, a man of global renown, now publicly defending Zoe, of all people.
'Oh my God! Could it be that this girl is actually the newly emerged prodigy in weapons design? If that's true, haven't we just missed out on someone even more brilliant than Tobias?' people wondered.
