Andrew signaled his men to be quiet, then strode over to the economy cabin and barked, "Listen up, folks. Some loudmouth in first class is talking big, saying they'll wipe us all out."
Terrified, the economy class passengers cowered and shrank into their seats, avoiding eye contact with Andrew.
Andrew smiled in satisfaction—this was the reaction normal people should have. He continued, "But I'm not someone to be trifled with. Anyone who dares challenge me will pay the price.
"Listen up. If she actually manages to wipe us out, you guys will be safe. But if she fails and dies by our hands, you'll all die with her. I'll slaughter every last one of you."
The passengers already felt unfortunate enough to be hijacked. Now, hearing that one person's reckless actions might cost all their lives, they started freaking out—screaming and shouting all over the place.
"No, we don't want to die!"
"That was her own doing. Don't blame us for it."
"Who's the one spouting such reckless nonsense? Step up and beg them to spare us. Or we'll never let you go."
Amid the angry curses, Zoe stepped forward and declared, "It was me."
When the passengers realized it was just a little girl, their fury intensified.
"If you have a death wish, don't drag us down with you."
"Didn't your parents teach you any compassion? It's wrong to put innocent people in danger like this."
"Sir, please, just kill that reckless girl. We're with you. We swear we won't tell a soul."
Faced with death, those people had lost all sense of dignity. But Zoe was used to the scornful looks around her. In truth, her success came partly from the taunts of small-minded folks.
'I might as well thank them for their "encouragement," huh?' she sneered silently while marching toward Andrew.
"Stop!" Andrew barked.
Several of Andrew's men trained their weapons on Zoe.
Suddenly, an idea hit Aileen. She shouted at the hijackers, "Aren't you after money? Kill this woman, and I'll pay you a fortune."
Andrew looked toward Zoe. "Now she wants your head. So, tell me—how much do you think I should charge for it?"
Zoe looked him straight in the eye and said calmly, "My head? At the very least, it's worth billions."
Instantly, all the hijackers burst into raucous laughter.
Andrew turned to Aileen. "Hear that? She's putting her price at billions. You got that kind of cash?"
Aileen scowled. "She's not worth anywhere near that much. But I'll pay $160 million for her head."
"That's enough, Aileen." Shawn finally spoke up, his voice laced with warning.
Aileen knew Shawn was no pushover. If those hijackers failed to kill Zoe and ended up getting wiped out by Shawn instead, she'd lose more than she gained. She added coldly, "One more condition—I want that man for myself."
'What nerve Aileen has, thinking she can just hire thugs with her money to get Shawn,' Zoe thought. She glanced back at Aileen, viewing her as nothing more than a fool.
Shawn's expression turned icy. He said nothing. But if those hijackers went on a killing spree, he wouldn't stand idly by.
Aileen suddenly felt a surge of panic, but there was no turning back now. Gritting her teeth, she shouted, "Well, you guys don't dare take the $160 million?"
"Killing is nothing to me," Andrew snorted dismissively. He then aimed and fired at Zoe.
The bullet seemed destined to pierce Zoe's temple, but she produced a silver coin out of nowhere to block it. The coin, with the bullet embedded in it, clattered to the floor.
Andrew stood frozen, utterly stunned by what he saw.
The others were dumbfounded. 'This woman is insanely lucky. A single coin actually saved her life,' they thought.
"I'll be damned if I can't kill you!" Andrew roared, emptying his clip at Zoe in rapid succession, certain that at least one bullet would hit her.
Zoe had somehow snatched Aileen's designer leather bag. No one knew what special material it was made of, but every bullet ended up embedded in its surface.
"My limited-edition bag!" Aileen wailed, clutching her chest.
The economy class passengers had all seen what just happened. Their grins vanished instantly—this girl was a pro, or how else could she have blocked a bullet?
Andrew gaped, his face a picture of stunned disbelief.
One of the hijackers exclaimed, "Boss, this girl's freaking unnatural. Why can't we hit her with bullets?"
Andrew smacked the man hard on the back of the head. "How the hell should I know?"
"Not bad, little girl," Andrew said. "Let's ditch the weapons and get real. What do you say?"
Zoe stood motionless.
Andrew shot his men a look.
One of Andrew's men rolled up his sleeves, squaring off against Zoe. He growled, "Hey kid, let's go at it—to the death!"
Zoe glanced at the man and shook her head dismissively.
The man asked, "What's with the head shake?"
"One's not enough. Come at me together," Zoe said, wanting to save time.
Andrew burst into laughter. "This brat's got some serious balls."
One of his men suggested, "How about we take her on together?"
"Let's see how she handles all of us at once," another sneered.
Noticing his guys itching for a fight, Andrew said, "Alright, take her down together. Once we neutralize this pain in the ass, we'll scope out a spot to make that plane ditch."
Instantly, several hijackers charged forward, while Andrew and the remaining ones egged them on with savage cheers.
"Kill her!"
"For 160 million dollars!"
'How could these idiots think Zoe is easy to deal with?' Aileen stared at the hijackers, frustration boiling inside. Then she snapped, "You morons, shoot her. Only weapons can kill her."
Andrew flashed a cocky grin. "Relax, Miss. That $160 million is as good as ours."
Just then, a series of heavy thuds echoed through the cabin as bodies hit the floor one after another.
Aileen and Andrew turned to Zoe, only to find all those supposedly invincible hijackers sprawled motionless on the floor.
"Get up! What are you all doing lying there?" Andrew roared.
One of his goons checked the pulse of a guy sprawled on the floor. "Oh god!" he gasped, stumbling back in horror. "H-he's dead!"
Actually, everyone sprawled on the floor was dead.
Only Shawn saw Zoe's technique. As the hijackers rushed in, she'd kicked their necks hard enough to snap them.
Now, Andrew had lost more than half his crew. Only three remained—utterly insignificant, but at least they were still armed.
Some passengers tried to make a move. Andrew instantly trained his gun on them and barked, "Nobody moves!"
