The embassy staff cut straight to the point: "This is a key partner in our science outreach efforts."
That shut the production team up instantly.
Even to me—the same person they'd once screamed at to "Get out!" and tried to drag offstage—they now bowed in humiliated deference.
I smirked, brushed past their pathetic faces, and strode back onto the stage.
I was back.
Someone had pulled every dirty trick to silence me and bury the truth.
Now? It was my turn to kick these arrogant frauds off their high horse.
The French Higher Education Commissioner, invited by the embassy, took the floor. He opened with a sharp reference to the last broadcast—the so-called "fake-busting" fiasco.
"We're here today to set the record straight," he declared. "It's our duty to expose the realities of French higher education and protect the public from malicious deception—especially when it tarnishes our nation's reputation."
On the judges' panel, Wendy's eyes darted nervously. Guilt oozed from her, but she clung to her CEO persona, jaw clenched, spine rigid.
Meanwhile, the host Olivia couldn't resist gloating. "Looks like even the embassy had enough of that liar's nonsense last time! Serves her right—time to crush that fraud once and for all!"
The commissioner shot her a frosty glance. Olivia just preened, clueless.
Then came the mic drop.
One by one, the commissioner listed France's top universities, saving the best for last—mine.
"Miss Celine Warner holds three master's degrees from Sorbonne University, a top-tier institution in our country. Every claim against her was a deliberate smear campaign—one that damaged France's academic integrity. Rest assured, legal action will follow."
The audience erupted. Olivia's smirk vanished. Wendy went sheet-white.
I yanked down my hood and locked eyes with her. "Well? Still think the embassy's lying? Still calling Sorbonne a 'diploma mill'?" My voice dripped venom. "Go ahead. Say it. I dare you."
Wendy's glare burned with hatred—but her lips stayed sealed. She knew one wrong word would bury her.
The crowd wasn't so forgiving.
"Holy crap—Celine's the real deal?! Wendy's the fraud?!"
"Wait… Wendy bragged about studying in France for a decade. How'd she 'misread' Celine's credentials? Unless…"
The pieces clicked.
"She's the uneducated one! That 'elite CEO' can't even read a diploma!"
The commissioner delivered the final blow. "Ms. Wendy, your 'French' in the last episode was… unintelligible. Care to prove us wrong? We'll give you the floor."
Silence.
Wendy turned the color of a baboon's backside, gaping like a suffocating fish.
The audience's jeers crescendoed.
"Wow. The 'genius' CEO's a total sham!"
"Played us all for fools! Fake degree, fake French—what's next, fake DNA?!"
Wendy wasn't just exposed.
She was a joke.
And the laughter? Was brutal.
