THOMAS POV
I entered through the front door of the large Calabasas mansion Pierce owned to be met with a rather freakishly large Christmas tree lit up, and the large wrap around staircase leading to the second floor looked like Christmas spirit went off in a grenade of tinsel and bows.
"You decorated this year?" Pierce asked Mika, just as shocked as I was by the extra display of festivities.
"I thought it would be nice to hold Christmas at our house this year since Clara is flying in from France with little Mahina," Mika tried to explain himself and Pierce shook his head with a tired smile.
"Listen you Grinch, we have two little granddaughter's who just so happen to love Christmas so excuse me for trying to-"
A gentle kiss stopped Mika's fight as Pierce craned his neck to kiss his smaller husband and I wanted nothing more than to do the same to Matty and Luca. But I needed to find them first.
"You're acting like you did all the work Master Mika," Their butler; Mason, announces as he walks in from a side entryway. Running his hands through his long brown hair to smooth it down and smiling when he saw me.
"Ah, Master Thomas has arrived! The boys will be so excited to see you, their all waiting in the guest house in the back," He tells me and I nod to Mika and Pierce.
"Thank you guys for letting us stay here and helping us through this, I can't even tell you how much I appreciate this," I told them and Mika shrugged.
"Thomas, you're family, you don't have to thank us. Now they're probably worried sick about you so go join them and we'll talk later on," He says. The daylight was just starting to peek up the mountains as we arrived and I felt like I was about to fall asleep on the floor at this rate.
I walked through the mansion and across the backyard before finally reaching the guest house. As soon as I walked in, I noticed Houston lying on a large pillow, his back leg bandaged but other than that he seemed okay as he perked up his head once he saw me and wagged his tail. Luca's Cooper laid beside him with his head on the other dogs back, gently licking his ears.
"Hey guys," I whispered and got down to my knees. Houston's sweet brown eyes locking with mine as I pressed my forehead against his and gently kissed the top of his head.
"My sweet boy, you're such a good dog, yes you are," I coo as I scratch his favorite spot behind his ear and he licks my cheek.
"Thank you," I whispered to him, knowing I would go all out later and buy him a few special treats. Cooper whimpered a bit, wanting some attention and I gave him two pats on the head.
"You too buddy," I told Coop and stood back up. Letting Houston rest as Coop found the need to follow me to the single bedroom down the small hallway.
I slowly opened the door, as not to scare them and the sun overflowed, nearly blinding me when I walked in with it's warm, gentle glow. I couldn't help but smile as I was finally reunited with my beautiful family.
I stood at the end of the bed, watching them as they slept, their chests rising and falling with every breath as the trio snuggled together under the blanket. Matty held Jayde as close as he possibly could while Luca laid on the other side of them, more to himself as he snorted in his sleep. The sun illuminating the blonde highlight in Matty's light brown hair, Jaydean's long luscious eyelashes, and Luca's scattered freckles.
My heart skipped a few beats as I watched over them and I knew I could never again take them for granted since I was almost torn from them.
I got on Luca's side since it had space, too exhausted to shower as I slid into the bed and wrapped my arms around him. He slowly stirred before reaching down and holding my hands in his. Once he realized it was me, he quickly turned around, shocking me when he aggressively pulled my face to his and kissed me.
"Thomas," He whimpered my name and I opened my eyes to find the tears dripping down his watery blue eyes. The sun shining across his face and showing me every single tiny streak of blue in his beautiful eyes and I damn near cried just seeing how beautiful he is.
"Shh, there's no need to cry as long as I'm here. We'll be okay," I told him, gently wiping the tears with the pads of my thumbs, kissing his moist salty cheeks until the tears were just a passing dream.
"Thomas?" Matty peeks up over Luca's shoulder and Luca falls onto his back, letting me see Matty. I reached over and caressed his cheek, kissing Luca's and resting my head on his chest as matty's hand met mine over Jaydean.
"Hey Kitten," I whispered back and he sighed, closing his eyes and relaxing his tense body.
"Thank god, I can finally sleep now,"
