MATTY POV
"Azi,"
As soon as I locked eyes with him, what should have been one of the happiest moments in my life shattered like a fragile piece of glass.
"What?" Thomas and Luca both looked at me as I slowly stood up, watching my green-eyed angel as he stood above the rink, gripping the railing so tightly that his little fists were a lighter shade of white compared to the rest of his milky complexion.
Beautiful as he was, a strike of lightning cursed my heart and I saw the single tear slowly dripping down his right cheek.
I promised him I would never hurt him...now look at what I've done.
He shook his head and turned away from me, pushing himself into the crowd. But if he thought I was going to let him go that easily, he had another thing coming.
My legs started moving before my brain could think twice as I hopped off the ice, ripping off my skates, grabbing my sneakers, and running as fast as I could in just my socks. Ignoring those who called out behind me.
"AZI!" I screamed his name once I got to the top of the stairs and found him just making it out of the crowd, I slipped on my shoes and quickened my pace.
"AZISUS!" I called after him as he ran across the street and I followed, now ignoring the screeching of breaks, a few people cursing me out, and traffic coming to a small halt.
Every touch, every embrace, every kiss...it couldn't have been for nothing.
My heart pounds with every step I take as he ducks into the subway station and I jog down the stairs after him, jumping over the turnstile to catch the one that got away. We reached the tracks and he turned to me, letting me watch as he held his arms out with tears streaming down his face and fell backward into the tracks just as the subway train came roaring past.
"AZI!"
As soon as I touched the yellow line, I was yanked back with so much force that my neck snapped back and I was pulled into the arms of my fiance.
"NO!"
The train came to a screeching halt and an alarm had sounded but it was too late.
He was gone.
"Azi,"
