                    THOMAS POV
"What about Novalee?"
Matty suggested as he held his arms up while our stylist Herald did his work to hide my husband's pregnancy with loose clothing.
"Novalee? Where did you come up with that one?" I asked and he wrinkled his nose in an attempt to scratch it but was unable to move his arms for fear of being pinned by Herald. Luca stood up and scratched it for him, giggling softly as he did so.
"Nothing really, it just kind of came to mind," Matty shrugged and Herald moved to his pants.
"Novalee? I think it's really pretty, like Jayde. What do you think Jaydean? Do you want your baby sister to be named Nova?" Luca asked our daughter, but she gave him a confused look.
"I thought I was having a baby brother," She pouts and the three of us all looked at each other.
"No sweetie, you're going to have three baby brothers and one baby sister," I explained but now she just looked more confused.
"But mommy can only carry one baby in his tummy. Four is impossible, silly daddies," She rolled her eyes and continued coloring and now it was Harold's turn to laugh.
"Boy, you guys have your hands full with that one," He chuckles and I nodded, taking a sip of hot tea to prep my voice for the cold stage we had ahead of us.
"Tell me about it. She's just like her mother," Luca agrees with his hands on his hips and Matty shakes his head.
"What can I say? She's been with me longer than you two, something happens when you grow a baby inside you. It's like they take a little piece of you with them. The bit of attitude I lost the moment she was born, she stole and used as a little spark in her personality that makes her my beautiful Jaydean," He explains and Harold was done adjusting him, standing up and dusting himself off.
"Mommy, can I go on stage with you guys?" Jayde asked and the three of us said 'no' in complete unison at the same time.
"But why! I can do the same moves as you!" She cries out and tosses down her crayons to bust a move on the floor of the green room. Her little body mimicking the dance moves she had watched her mother and I practice about a hundred times.
"Damn, you go gurl," Harold snapped and I couldn't help but smile at her adorable attempt to join the group.
"See! I'm good too!" Jayde smiled, showing off her famous toothless grin. I looked at Matty but he shook his head.
"I'm sure you can stand next to the stage and watch your daddies perform, would you like that?" Harold asked her and of course, she gave a cute little squeak and shook her fists with excitement.
"Oh, that would be absolutely excellent! Please, please, please mommy?!" She turned to Matty who now crossed his arms, unaffected by her spell. I was a little thrown off by the way she asked and I thought our daughter was a full-blown Brit like her Papa for a second there.
"I can be with her and make sure she's safe," Luca reassured Matty who still bit his lip as all of held our breath for Jaydean. His yes or no would be the final say in this situation since he seems to always know best when it comes to our daughter. He's her mother after all and no one goes against the mama bear.
"We'll have to find her some soundproof headphones," Matty muttered and Jaydean jumped up in excitement.
"Yay!" She shouted with excitement but Matty killed her fun in a heartbeat.
"BUT she can only be out there when we're performing, the rest of the time I want her in here. I don't need her getting sick or being in the public eye for longer than she has to be." Matty adds some ground rules which are quickly agreed to as Harold goes on the hunt for an outfit that would suit her. Sending out an army of personal assistants to follow his command and buy her things.
He walks over to Luca and gets his measurements as well and Luca gives him a sideways glance.
"Well we can't have the Jackson Fiance going out there in daily wear now can we? Especially not when he's on the cover of every magazine. People are on the hunt for you mister so I'd be very careful if I were you," Harold adds, sending out the troops and I pull out my phone.
As soon as I googled our band's name, photos of my precious Luca came blaring across the screen as people commented on how beautiful he is, how unfair it is that he's gay, and I was surprised by the crazy amounts of people who wanted to know about our sex life. As if sex is the most interesting part of our relationship.
I'd say it's the opposite.
"Luca...oh honey, you're literally everywhere," Matty gasped and I looked up to catch him doing the same thing as me. Luca was now holding Jayde in his lap as she continued to color and waited for the PA army to come back.
"Do I even want to know?" Luca sighed and Matty and I both shook our heads.
"No, probably not," I said as I traveled to the danger zone aka the comment section.
"We're back!" Harold announced as a few of his assistants towed in a few bags while panting. I was shocked by their speed but grateful that he had no intentions of putting our five-year-old baby in something scandalous as he hung some of the outfits.
"I like that one," Jaydean walked up to the navy blue dress hanging on the rack with long sleeves and little sparkles on the body.
"Hmm, lets see how it looks," Matty told her and ushered her into the changing room away from the other people as she tried it on.
A few seconds later we heard his voice trembling as he called out to us.
"Luca...Thomas..." We both instantly flung ourselves to him as we peeked into the changing room and saw Matty, holding our shirtless little girl.
Small bruises in all different shades covered her tiny body as she stood there. Matty had a hand over his mouth in shock while Luca and I both got to our knees to examine our daughter.
"W-What's wrong?" She stuttered and Luca carefully grabbed her hands, turning her away from the horrified face of her mother and staying calm.
"Nothing baby girl...nothing. We just want to know...we need to know where all these bruises are from," Luca says and Jaydean looks down, shrugging her frail shoulders when she sees them.
"I get bruises all the time daddies, I don't know. It just happens sometimes, can I try on the dress now?" She asked and I gulped, nodding slowly as I helped her out of her jeans where we found more bruises on her legs and she was a little paler than usual.
I reached my hand out and felt her forehead, pushing back her bright red hair to feel a slight fever but she wasn't burning up.
"Here," Luca helps her into the dress and gives all of us a look with his eyes not to panic but I had a feeling we were all about too.
She twirls in the navy blue dress which looked beautiful on her as all things do, but we weren't reacting the way she wanted us to.
"I like it, but should I try on another one? You guys don't like it?" She asked, confused and I quickly shook myself out of the shock.
"You look beautiful sweetheart! I think you should wear that one," I tell her with as much enthusiasm as I can muster.
"Okay. I'll pick this one then. I'm really tired though. Can I take a nap before the show?" She asked and Luca quickly nodded.
"Of course baby, why don't you go out to the couch and show off your dress," Luca suggests and that's what she does.
The three of us were now alone, looking at each other and quietly trembling.
"Somethings seriously wrong. I can feel it," Matty groans and I stand up, grabbing my two lovers and helping them up as I pull them into my arms.
"Should we take her to the hospital?" Luca asked but I shook my head.
"We're in the middle of times square and with the traffic around here? It would be more dangerous to bring her to the hospital now than to wait until tomorrow when we fly home. Until then, let's try to limit her contact with others. I think she's just a little sick is all," I lied to them. Knowing it had to be something more serious. Neither one of them were buying it but they both nodded anyway.
"Oh god, what's wrong with my baby?"
