*LUCA POV*
"It's so beautiful!"
Jaydean tells us over the headsets as the helicopter flies over the crystal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean surrounding the beautiful island of Bridgeport. Her excitement shows in her beautiful matching blue eyes with her flecks of gray radiating back in the sunlight.
Thomas has his hand in mine as he sat beside me with the doors taken off the helicopter so we could see into the abyss as we made our way to the yacht where our wedding would take place. It was Mika and Pierce's yacht but they decided to pass it down to us as a wedding present and even though I've never seen the boat before, I was beyond excited to explore it.
The only thing that sucked was the ride to get there.
While our guests would arrive on a privately chartered boat, Thomas and Matthias had decided we would take the fastest route which was the helicopter which I unwillingly agreed to.
The only problem was, I have a fear of heights.
Thomas gives my hand a gentle squeeze as I fight the urge to squeeze my eyes shut so I could take in the beautiful sigh but it was getting harder and harder by the minute.
"We're almost there hon, try to relax a bit," Matthias gently cooed into the headset while rubbing his hand over my knee since he sat across from me.
"Is Papa going to be okay?" Jayde asked and I gulped, holding myself together so she wouldn't have to watch one of her daddies suffering.
"I'm okay, just a little sleepy is all," I lied and she seemed to buy it with her wide smile.
"Oh! It's okay papa, I'm a little sleepy too but I'm happy I don't have to do school today!" She cried out of joy and I think all three of us rolled our eyes in unison.
She acts like it's really that bad to stay home and do schoolwork but we had no other choice with her immune system compromised and her getting sick all the time.
Just last week she made it through until today without throwing up which was a major milestone which we celebrated with homemade chocolate chip brownies. That was about as adventurous as it gets with us, but I didn't mind. As long as I have everything I love in one place, I can be happy.
The helicopter touches the ground on the landing pad of the yacht and I'm the first to get off, loving the solid ground and lack of heights from here before I even noticed the row of crew members awaiting our arrival.
"Welcome to the Victory Yacht, Jackson family," The crew all speak in perfect English as the helicopter takes off without us. A man and a woman dressed in black uniforms with gold accents come to greet me.
"Luca, you'll come with us. Say goodbye to your fiances because when you see them again you'll be taking them as your husbands," The woman smiles and I wave goodbye to Thomas and Matthias as the four of us are led off into two separate directions with Jaydean by my side.
Holding Jayde's hand, we're led down the deck and into a large bedroom where my suit was lying pressed on the bed and it smelled like honey, flowers, and oils.
An older woman stood in the doorway to the bathroom holding two silky white robes. One for me and one for Jaydean. I walked into the bathroom and helped my tiny daughter put the robe on over her tank top and shorts while I stripped down to just my boxers and slipped it on over.
"Papa, are you excited yet?" Jaydean asked me as she yawned and I pinched her little cheek.
"Of course I'm excited. Why don't you go take a nap on the big bed when we get back into the room okay?" I ask her and she nods in agreement as we exit the bathroom and re-enter the luxurious bedroom.
The older woman directs me to a small stool in the center of the room where there was a small tub of milky steaming water and I follow their command. Most of the wedding preparations had been kept a secret to me but I took it as it came as the older woman grabbed my feet and pulled it into the water, gently massaging my feet when she did so.
Everything she did to my feet was with a warm, gentle touch and I felt the man from earlier toying with my hair while the woman pressed a cool gell to my face. I had all these hands on me and felt like the center of attention with the beautiful woman working on my feet, saying a lot of words under her breath in the Alohowa language which I couldn't understand.
When they finished, they pointed to the mirror and I was shocked by the person staring back at me.
I looked more relaxed than I'd ever been, with my dark circles and bags completely vanished, my freckled cheeks continuing to be my defining feature but my skin was dewy, glowing, and rejuvenated. My hair looked so perfect that it could have been a wig and I'd believe you. With perfect little dark brown curls and waves interlocking around a crown of white plumeria flowers with hints of yellow on the inside that smelled sweeter than honey.
The older woman left and I bowed out of appreciation, to letter her know just how thankful I am. The younger woman stayed, waking Jaydean to help her into her dress while I slipped into my tuxedo. A white dress shirt and white pants went on first before I shrugged on the white jacket and black bow tie.
"Papa look! I'm a princess...woah," Jaydean stopped twirling in her beautiful gown once she saw me, standing in front of the mirror as I shrugged on the jacket. I looked over to catch sight of her freckled cheeks dropped with her mouth in awe.
"You're not my papa," She grunts as the woman unfurls Jayde's perfect red curls that fell down her back and placed a smaller crown of light pink flowers on her head as well.
"What are you talking about nugget?" I asked, placing my hands on my hips and she looked up at me.
"You have his funny voice but you're too pretty to be my papa," She tilted her head with that sarcastic smirk she gained from her mother and I got down to her level, letting her reach out and poke my cheeks.
"Okay, but you look like a Prince. How do I know you didn't replace my papa with a stranger?" She asked and I gently kissed the tip of her freckled nose.
"Because no stranger could ever love you as much as I do," I whispered and she scrunched up her face.
"You're so sappy Papa," she giggled and opened her arms to hug me. A soft knock on the door let me know it was almost time and I looked over to find Kaeden Tremblay standing in a black tuxedo and tie. He also pauses when he sees me and his smile was one I'd never forget.
"Wow Luca, you're truly just as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside. You know you deserve this right? After everything you've gone through you deserve this happy ending," Kaeden says and I could feel myself getting all emotional.
"Stop it Kae, I can't cry now," I tried to stuff my emotions back in the box and was somewhat successful.
"I can't help it, my little protege is getting married today...for the first time," He says and this got me even harder. I had been married before but it was against my will and I was kept as a slave for nearly ten years before this man gave me my freedom.
He also taught me how to be human again.
"Are you ready? They're very anxious up there," He asked and I nodded, taking his arm as he held it out to me.
"Let's get this started then shall we? Jaydean, you can lead the way!"
