*LUCA POV*
"Shhh, hey it's okay Koa, Papa's got you,"
I yawned as I rubbed my eyes with one hand while pressing my other hand on little Koa's chest. I could hear him on the baby monitor and volunteered to be first on deck for the night. Only getting about three hours of sleep before one of my sons decided to put his lungs to good use.
Once he realized I was there, he stopped crying to some degree, now whimpering as I carefully picked up his warm wiggly body and clutched him to my chest. As soon as I left the nursery, I slowly closed the door behind me and snuck out to the kitchen with only the moonlight guiding my way in the dark.
"Are you hungry Koa? I think so, let's get you fed okay baby?" I gently kissed his warm head and felt my way to the kitchen, so tired that I forgot I didn't have to reach for the switch.
"Okay Google, turn on the kitchen light but dim it please," I asked the house and the kitchen light slowly turned on, revealing the disaster of formula, bottles, and milk that had spilled everywhere.
I went into the fridge and got some of the already made infant formula, tossing it in the microwave for a few seconds after popping off the top. Nakoa starts to get impatient and whimpers a bit as I rub his back.
"Okay bunny, it's almost done hold on," I whispered to him as I nudged his little head with my nose, his light green eyes trained on my movements as I got his midnight snack. I had taken to calling him my baby bunny cause the first day home he wiggled so much like a struggling newborn baby that I nearly dropped him.
The microwave beeped and almost as if he knew what that meant he started wailing.
"Oh Goodness Koa, you really are a drama king huh? It's right here," I tiredly chuckled as I shook the bottle, grabbed a blanket from the couch, and walked onto the porch since it's always at least 75 degrees in Bridgeport. I sat down on one of the comfortable couches with the view of the pool glowing purple in the dark, the full moon, and the ocean making waves below the two of us.
I protectively wrapped up my precious little baby because even though it was warm enough for me, I didn't want him to get cold since he's only wearing cute little footsie pajamas with tiny green cacti to match his eyes. Matthias had a weird color scheme going on with the babies. Usually having Nakoa in green, Rumi in red, Nova in yellow, and Mika in purple.
As soon as I press the bottle to his thick little lips, Koa takes in the milk and starts to suck on the nipple of the bottle like he just got back from fasting or some shit.
As he drinks, I cradled him close to my shirtless chest, since the bedroom was warmer than usual with three husbands snuggled up together, we usually went to bed in just shorts or less. Well, all of us except Matthias.
I looked into little Koa's face, his eyes closed as he contently sucked on the bottle and cooed. All of the babies were starting to look more like themselves since a week had passed and the swelling had gone down. Nakoa was starting to look more and more like Matthias in his face with his dark curls and darker skin from Thomas. None of us knew where his gorgeous green eyes came from and sometimes in my head I just like to pretend their from me, even if that's impossible.
And even though the babies are Matthias and Thomas' genetically, I'm still on their birth certificates as their father since trios are recognized in this country. Because just like Thomas,  I am their father. A little broken, but I'm still their Papa whether they want me or not.
Koa finishes the whole bottle and I curse under my breath, knowing the moment I burped him there was a 90 percent chance I was going to get spit up on my bare back. But I did it anyway because I love him and I don't want him to have an upset tummy just because I was stupid enough to forget a towel or something to protect myself.
"Please don't, please don't, please don't," I begged my little guy as I pat his back and he turned his head, to face me, reaching out his little arms and hugging my biceps as he did so. He's so warm and beautiful in this light that I suddenly felt like I was going to get emotional in my sleep-deprived state.
"You're my little sweetheart, huh bunny?" I asked him and he let out a large baby burp.
"Wow, excuse you," I grunt and continued to burp him as I heard footsteps coming from behind me in the kitchen.
"I love you so much" I whispered as I kissed his little forehead and suddenly a teeny little smile that warmed my heart in ways I couldn't describe.
Of course, that was just before he decided to drool some spit up right onto my bare shoulder and I felt the warm liquid drip down my chest. I let out a long sigh as I was smacked on the head with a small wet cloth.
"How did I somehow know this would happen?" Matthias asked and I looked up to catch him shaking his head as he rocked our tiniest little one back and forth. I clutched Koa on my lap as I cleaned myself off and he thankfully stayed asleep.
"Because you know me so well," I grunt as I wiped the spit up from my chest, thankful they weren't into solids or anything so it just smelled like sweet formula milk.
He slowly sat down next to me, still recovering from the c-section as he did so. He was like a turtle these days and it was kind of funny, but I know if I laughed he would get upset so I kept it to myself.
"Good morning beautiful," I sighed as I kissed Matthias on the cheek and he reclined with Mika-Ji attached to his chest.
"I don't know who you're calling beautiful but I know it's not me," He mumbles and I picked Nakoa up again and pressed him against my chest as I laid down next to Matthias. The sound of the ocean always relaxed the little ones and put them to sleep, it even worked on Jaydean.
"What are you talking about baby, of course you're beautiful," I replied back and he closed his eyes with Mika-Ji.
"No, not anymore," He sighs and now I was concerned. My husband? My baby? The confident mother of my five children? Self-conscious? Oh hell no.
I leaned over pulling him close to me with the babies between us as I actually kissed him this time, taking the time to wrap my lips around his as he caressed my cheek and I gently squeezed his soft thigh.
"Matthias, you just gave birth to a whole squad of beautiful little babies, give yourself a break honey," I gently reminded him and he finally smiled just a little bit. God I hope some of the babies have his mysterious smile because to me, Matthias is like a Mona Lisa. Always hiding a thousand words behind his smile.
"I love you," He whispered as he pecked my lips once more and I pulled away from him to have Nakoa now awake and staring at me with his face all scrunched up as if he was disturbed by his parent's display of affection.
"Aw look at what you did to poor Koa. You're going to scar our little one," Matty chuckles a little then winces in pain.
"He's too tiny to be scared, the baby doesn't even remember the last time he ate nevermind his parent's kissing,"
