Kael frantically explained to everyone: "I didn't have an affair. Selene wanted freedom, so I agreed to severance. We planned to re-bond in a year."
I wouldn't let him make excuses. I signaled the lawyer to play the first recording.
Kael's voice came clearly through the ballroom's premium sound system:
"The girl is innocent, crying about being called a homewrecker, afraid the pup would be called illegitimate. I naturally won't wrong them. After the pup is born and acknowledged, we'll re-bond, okay?"

My eyes reddened again, genuinely this time. "Alpha Kael, to protect his mistress Sera, twisted facts and called attempted murder an ordinary accident. Everyone tell me - is this an ordinary accident?"
The room immediately erupted in outrage.
"That was clearly intentional!" a female reporter shouted angrily.

I opened the patent transfer contract, continuing that comment: "Netizens are right. I did transfer patents to Kael. But our patent agreement clearly states that if we sever our mate bond, patents automatically return to me."
The lawyer projected specific contract clauses on screen. Everyone pulled out phones to screenshot. I saw Kael's forehead covered in cold sweat while his chief counsel frantically flipped through documents.
"In other words, from our severance date, all Moonstone products based on my patents violate my patent rights."
This statement exploded like a bomb in the ballroom.

American company CEO Johnson stood directly, face livid. "Alpha Kael, you're unfaithful not only in mating but in partnerships." He said coldly, "Unable to provide contracted products within agreed time - see you in court." He stormed out with his team.

He grabbed my arm, voice pleading desperately: "Selene, Sera seduced me. You know she kept praising my size and stamina. I was momentarily bewitched."
I disgustedly shook off his hand, but he persisted, continuing to beg: "Selene, I'll have her terminate the pup immediately, and kick her out of Moonhaven... She'll get her punishment, and I'll spend my life making amends to you."
