Amaris in the car burst into tears, making a dramatic show of reaching for the door handle. "Luna, are you regret it?"
"It's alright, Alpha. Luna might not be willing to step aside, but I do—I don't make things harder for you.”
"I'll... I’ll get rid of the pup and give you both my blessing."

I swallowed the bitter ache in my throat. "You know how important this award means to me. All I’m asking is just one more day.”
Amaris blinked innocently. "Today's Friday, Luna. Don't you know the Pack Registry Office is closed on weekends? You won’t be able to break the mate bond then.”
"Liora, if you don't want to break the mate bond, just say so. Alpha Thorne, go chase dreams with her. Don't worry about the pup and me."
