I watch Jisoo saunter over to me after she exits the bathroom with a big smile on my face. I know she's swaying her hips just for me and I like it.
I like it a lot.
We woke up from our unplanned nap a little bit ago and I'm glad that we still have some time to ourselves before we have to leave the sanctuary of my dressing room.
Jisoo climbs on my lap and the only thing better than her topping me, is when I get to top her.
"Hey there," she says as she gets comfortable. "I'm all minty now."
Like I care about something as silly as bad breath when it comes to Jisoo's kisses.
"I don't know if I believe you," I smirk.
We love teasing each other.
Both sexually and the other kind of teasing.
Jisoo crashes her lips on mine, leaving me breathless as she pushes her tongue in my mouth.
Wow.
It seems someone woke up in a good mood.
I don't always know what I'm in for when Jisoo wakes up. Sometimes she's cheery and can't wait to give me a kiss. Other times, well, those times she turns into a bit of a beast.
Don't get me wrong, I love Jisoo, but boy oh boy can she get cranky.
I would never tell her how cute she is when she's pouting, during the actual foul mood but afterwards I tease her relentlessly about her grouchy ways. She of course tells me that I'm exaggerating and we usually end up in a lovers spat that results in both of us getting naked.
"Now do you believe me?" Jisoo inquires with this look on her face that lets me know exactly what she wants.
Me.
Right here.
Right now.
And I'm happy to oblige.
I pretend to think about my answer for a few seconds. "Nope, I think I need another kiss to make sure."
"Ok," she replies before our mouths find each other again.
I love when she's like this.
Kissing Jisoo and making love to her, never gets old.
I still want her just as much if not more than I ever did.
Because I know Jisoo that much better.
I know what she likes, how she likes it and what I have to do to make her scream my name.
And the same goes for her.
She knows my body and what I enjoy so damn well.
What's happening in my dressing room isn't about making love though.
It's about carnal need and desire.
Oh yeah.
I'm just about to help Jisoo out of her shirt when my phone vibrates.
Fuck!
I hate the idiot that invented cell phones.
They should be shot.
I can't tell you how often our phones interrupt us.
"You should get that," Jisoo reluctantly tells me as her head rests against mine. "It could be important."
"Not as important as what we were about to do," I groan.
Jisoo chuckles. "True, but the sooner you get off the phone, the sooner I can get you off."
How in the hell am I supposed to hold a conversation after hearing that come from my girlfriend's mouth?
I'm going to kill whoever is on the phone.
In my defense, I don't normally have such violent thoughts but I'm frustrated.
Frustrated and horny.
Not a good combination and one that Jisoo is about to exploit.
"Hello," I bark into the phone without looking at who it is.
Jisoo latches onto my earlobe as I try in vain not to moan.
Oh god!
This is torture.
Amazing torture, but still.
"Did I catch you at a bad time?" Teddy asks.
Yes!
I'm about to have sex with my hot girlfriend.
Of course I don't say that to him.
He's a great friend, but he knew my father and that would be weird.
Ok, so not a time to be thinking about my dad.
Jisoo gets rid of thoughts when she kisses her way to my neck.
Oh god!
She knows how much I love it when she kisses me there.
I'm so going to get her back for this!
After we're done.
"No, it's ok." I somehow reply in my turned on state. "What's up?"
Jisoo reconnects her eyes with mine and I can tell she's up to something. My suspicions are confirmed seconds later as she slithers down my body.
Holy fuck!
She's grinning wickedly at me as she begins to undo my jeans.
I'm so screwed.
Or I will be in a few short minutes.
"I wanted you to know that your album has finally outsold your other one," he gleefully announces.
I should explain something.
After my former label voided our contract they retained the rights to all the songs I recorded when I was with them.
Those dickheads decided to capitalize on my name by releasing the album even though they kicked me to the curb.
I thought Jisoo's head was going to explode when she found out what they were planning. I was a bit concerned that she was going to do something unprofessional but I have to give her credit, she didn't.
I certainly wanted to.
I felt like appearing on any talk show that would have me to explain what those bastards were doing.
But Jisoo, Mr. A., Rosé and Teddy all talked me out of it.
They told me to take the high road and our hope was that without me promoting it, the album wouldn't do well.
It ended up being the biggest debut album by a new artist in years.
I guess it did help me keep my popularity and the sales of what I consider to be my real debut record.
When I would work with Teddy in the studio we often chatted about how we couldn't wait to outsell that other album and now it looks like we've done it.
He's a great guy I should add.
Teddy let me write all my own music and when something didn't sound right, we worked together until we were both satisfied.
I was so proud of all the hours we put into making it that I honestly wouldn't have cared if we didn't sell one copy.
I was finally making music, my music and that meant more to me than any commercial success.
"Are you serious?" I ask even though I know Teddy would never kid about this.
Jisoo looks up but all I can do is smile to let her know that I've gotten good news.
Teddy laughs. "Absolutely. You did it, Jen."
"We did it," I correct him. "You deserve at least half the credit for its success."
"Do I get half your royalties then?" he jokes.
Teddy has made a lot of money from our venture and he's been able to expand his business.
We make a great team.
Not as good a team as Jisoo and me though.
Not even close.
I'll never forget the time she referred to us as Team Jensoo.
I was so confused until she explained the name merging and how she had thought it up when she tried her best to woo me.
If only she knew I was head over heals for her already at that point.
The terms she comes up with, never fail to amuse me.
One time, I had my hand up her skirt and she screamed out, "God, I love guitar hands," so loud it made me stop.
I'm getting sidetracked.
"You wish," I banter back. "Thanks for calling and letting me know."
"It was my pleasure," he replies.
Speaking of pleasure...
Jisoo is back on my lap and I'm mildly disappointed.
Or very disappointed as the case may be.
"Don't forget to call me when you get back from your trip," Teddy reminds me. "We have another record to get working on."
"Yes sir," I say while wrapping my arm around Jisoo. "But don't expect me to answer a single call when we're away."
I refuse to take our phones with us on our much needed vacation.
Jisoo enthusiastically agreed to my idea.
Great minds really do think alike.
"I won't dream of it," Teddy laughs. "Say hi to Jisoo for me and let me know when you're back."
I hang up with Teddy and I'm beaming.
I explain to Jisoo the good news and I get a big hug as her way of saying congratulations.
To be frank, I was hoping for another way of Jisoo showing her pride but a hug is still nice.
I suppose.
"I can't wait to go away with you," Jisoo whispers as she presses her body into mine.
You and me both.
We're headed to a private beach for two whole weeks.
You'd think after spending nearly five months together that we'd be sick of seeing each other.
But some days, our schedules are so hectic that we hardly spend any time in the same room.
Jisoo's always the first person I lay my eyes on when I finish a show.
Even when she's exhausted she's stays up because she knows how much it means to me.
It's hard after a concert to come down from the high that performing gives me. On more than one occasion Jisoo has fallen asleep on my lap with her arms around my neck.
I love those occasions.
"You know what I can't wait for?" I ask in a raspy voice that I know Jisoo adores. "Seeing you in a bikini-it's been far too long since I've seen that."
Has it ever!
Like six months I think.
Nobody fills out a bikini like my Jisoo.
"Really?" Jisoo gives me a doe-eyed look but she can't fool me.
If there's one thing I've learned about Jisoo in our year together, it's that she's far from innocent.
And don't even get me started on the way she tilts her head.
She knows how much I can't resist that.
Actually, when I think about it, there's not a lot about Jisoo that I can resist.
"Really," I confirm before I run my fingers up her back. "You remember that morning I called you before that first barbeque I attended?"
"Vaguely," Jisoo replies as her eyes glaze over but the expression on her face is hard to read.
Something tells me she remembers it as clearly as I do.
"Well, let's just say it wasn't only your company that had me excited," I continue.
Jisoo tilts her head as her eyes darken. "What do you mean?"
Like she doesn't know.
But I'll humor her.
"I couldn't stop thinking about what you would look like in a bikini," I admit for the first time to her.
What was hidden under Jisoo's clothes kept me up the night before.
I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep like she did the next day.
Jisoo blushes. "You did not."
"I did so," I assure her. "Did you ever fantasize about what I would look like in a bikini?"
I've never seen Jisoo turn so red.
I wonder what that is about?
She tucks her head in my neck for a few minutes. "Maybe once or twice," she says after she's facing me again.
"I think you're lying to me," I tell her and I don't really care if she is.
She's back to nibbling on my neck and I forget what we were discussing.
We don't get very far though.
Some idiot knocks on my door and says Jisoo is needed.
I nearly yell back that I needed her more.
But that would be rude.
Besides, after tonight, she's mine.
Hopefully forever.
I'm walking around backstage and I can't find Jisoo anywhere. I'm already dressed and primed to go on stage.
But there's still another couple of hours to go until that happens.
None of the family has shown up either.
I hate waiting.
I'm just about to ask a crew member if they've seen my girlfriend when I hear someone call out my name.
"Cheenie," they squeal, "Cheenie."
I can't believe it.
I whirl around and my eyes immediately fall upon the only other girl who I can't say no to.
I run over to Yeri and scoop her out of her mom's arms.
"Cheenie," she squeals even louder. "I see you."
She is so damn adorable.
Wendy and Joy made contact with Jisoo and me when they saw my press conference on TV.
It turns out they actually live in California and the four of us have gotten quite close.
Not to mention their daughter has me wrapped around her finger.
I tickle Yeri's tummy and I get shrieks of laughter for my efforts. "What are you guys doing here?" I ask the grinning couples once I've given their daughter a proper greeting.
"Jisoo wanted to surprise you," Wendy explains. "Surprise!"
I chuckle. "Well she certainly succeeded." I feel Yeri squirming in my arms and only when I get a good look at her do I notice the shirt she's wearing.
It's one of my concert t-shirts, but a very small one.
"Another surprise," Wendy says when she sees what I'm staring at. "How cute is she?"
"Very cute," I reply as Yeri kisses my cheek.
I can't believe Jisoo sometimes.
She's always thinking about me.
Always.
"You can't imagine how impatient Yeri was in the car," Joy tells me as she reaches for Wendy's hand. "I nearly threw her out the window."
"That's terrible," Wendy chastises her wife. "I don't know why I put up with you."
"I was only kidding," Joy says to appease the steaming woman by her side. "Besides you're too in love with me to be that mad."
The two of them remind me a lot of Jisoo and me.
I hope we're that happy when we've been together almost eight years.
I don't hear Jisoo come up behind me, but Yeri spots her. "Chu, Chu." She starts jumping around in my arms and the next thing I feel is Jisoo's chin on my shoulder.
"Hey, gorgeous," she coos as she tickles Yeri's stomach. "Hi to you as well, Jen."
"Very funny," I playfully roll my eyes. "But thanks for my surprise."
Jisoo winks. "Yeah, I am pretty amazing."
"You two look so good holding Yeri." Wendy pulls out her camera. "Huddle close, I want a picture."
The three of us happily oblige and after a few dozen shots the camera is put away.
"You look ready for a family," Joy announces and this time I don't pretend not to hear her.
Jisoo and I have discussed having children.
We both want to.
But not now.
We're still young and there's no way I would even consider having a child while I'm on the road.
I've forgiven my dad but that doesn't mean I want to repeat his mistakes.
I am going to be there for my child or children.
I am going to be there for Jisoo.
We're going to raise our baby together.
I want to be there for their first step, their first word, for every important moment in their life.
When they look back on their childhood I want my presence to be at the forefront of their memories.
I won't be anything but a loving parent to them.
I'm not ready for that now.
Neither is Jisoo.
But we will be and when that happens, we'll bring a baby into this world.
And not before.
"Just because you don't want to feel old, doesn't mean you should try and get Jisoo and me to have a kid," I smirk. "You're just jealous of our youthful exuberance."
"Wise ass," Joy grumbles.
"Bad word, mama," Yeri says making all us adults laugh.
"I'm in so much trouble now," Joy groans. "You have no idea."
Jisoo takes Yeri from me to show off her shirt to some of crew and the band.
"Do you have the ring?" Wendy asks me once Jisoo's out of earshot.
I nod as I lower my voice. "Yeah, tonight is the night."
"She's going to say yes," Joy assures me and I smile.
I'm fairly certain that she is.
I mean, we've discussed having a child so obviously the subject of marriage has come up.
But that doesn't make me feel any less nervous.
I just want everything to go according to my plan.
I tell Joy and Wendy about my idea to propose at the family dinner before I invite them to come with.
They say they can't because they wouldn't want to intrude.
I insist and they finally relent.
After I've said goodbye to Yeri, who is going home with Wendy's mom, Jisoo tells me it's time for me to go.
"You have a meet-and-greet in five minutes and after that you're meeting with the people from the Make-A-Wish Foundation to go over the fundraiser you're headlining in a month," Jisoo says as we rush down the hall.
She's so efficient.
And hot.
I can't wait to celebrate our engagement.
I also love how she makes sure I do a lot of charity work.
It's not that I wouldn't do it on my own but I don't always think of those kinds of things.
Jisoo does.
Yet another reason why she's so good for me.
We part with a quick kiss and then she's off to make sure there are no fires to put out.
I keep my eyes on her as she walks down the hall.
When I open the door to meet some of my fans the smile on my face is huge.
I really am one lucky girl.
It's five minutes until I'm on and I can't stop bouncing around.
I'm anxious and ready to go except for one thing.
Jisoo's not here.
Where could she be?
Also, our family isn't here still.
Apparently there was this huge accident on the freeway and they could be trapped on the highway for hours.
It's not a huge deal if they miss the show because I'll be seeing them afterwards, but I wanted them here.
I nearly jump out of my skin when I see Jisoo walking towards me.
Thank god she made it.
I don't know what I would have done if she didn't.
And can I just say she looks amazing.
She's wearing my favorite pair of jeans of hers and the adult sized version of one my concert shirts.
I know Jisoo likes to put in an effort to look nice but for some reason she's never looked as beautiful as she does right now.
There's a glow about her that makes me almost forget the stadium full of people who paid to see me perform.
"Sorry I'm late," she says as we huddle close together. "I was trying to get an ETA on when everyone was going to get here."
"That's ok," I tell her as I calm down slightly.
I'm trying really hard to concentrate on my impending show but my upcoming proposal is taking over my brain.
Jisoo kisses me until George taps me on the shoulder to let me know it's time.
I get one final kiss from Jisoo before I turn around and walk out to a thunderous applause.
I grin as I stand in front of the microphone but I'm worried inside.
I can't shake the feeling that something is wrong.
That for whatever reason the night is not going to go according to what I have planned.
I hope I'm just overreacting.
But my gut tells me I'm not.

        I like it a lot.
We woke up from our unplanned nap a little bit ago and I'm glad that we still have some time to ourselves before we have to leave the sanctuary of my dressing room.
