"You can't just talk to him like that. He is on the verge of shifting for the last fucking time, Violetta. What the fuck is wrong with you?" Vince shouts as soon as he slams the doors to his study shut. He stands behind his desk placing his hands on the top wide as he catches his breath. "I can't believe you did that,"
"What?" I laugh.
"All of it!" he growls. "Fucking all of it," he breathes out without looking at me. "You made them-they were going to kill each other. You dragged a man through his pack and told his mate he was a bitch. Then you come home and you try to trigger Dad's feral wolf. I don't- I trusted you,"
"You got what you wanted," I remind him. "They're all going home right now to think twice about how they're going to come at us again,"
"They are going to adjust their plans to accommodate both of us," he falls into his chair. "You're in the open. When Zander finds out you're a wolf and Wolfe. He is going to try to ruin you,"
"Hmm, I don't think he will," I disagree. He growls and stands up to come closer. He steps into my space and leans down to keep eye contact. His eyes are pitch black with anger and he thinks it's intimidating to me. Clearly he's never been around a Lycan or a wraith. "Am I supposed to be scared?"
"What goes on in your head?" he growls. "Let me in. Show me what it's like to live with all the shit compressed into your stupid little head,"
"We're doing the right thing, brother," I place my hand on his shoulder. "I have a request as payment for saving your ass all day,"
"What do you want?" he turns rubbing his forehead.
"So it turns out that my homie and his baby sister want in. They're willing to take the trials and stay the recommended time in the packhouse,"
"How many of them are there?"
"Sixteen,"
"Who are they?"
"Ramona and Roman Vivaldi,"
"Rogue royals," he laughs and turns around to face me. "You want me to let a rogue prince and princess into my pack while they're being hunted?"
"You let them in and they stop being rogues. Baby can be put in the Sigma program. She's got a lot of hobbies that can be beneficial for us here. Roman is an alpha. A very capable one and he's got combat training you wouldn't believe. He's got contacts that would make you jizz your pants, big brother. A team that can help us right now when we need it most. They can run up front and they can be incognito,"
"Violetta," he shakes his head. "What the fuck are you? Who the fuck are you?"
"You're upset," I tuck my arms behind me. "Come find me when you've calmed down,"
"Get the fuck out of here," he turns away. "I want a report of everything you've been a part of since you left,"
"You're going to be more upset when I don't do that," I scoff.
"You are part of this pack now, Violetta. You will tell me everything,"
"I will tell you what you need to know,"
"Get the fuck out now," he growls. I try not to laugh as I spin around to leave. "Wait,"
"What?" I ask reaching for the door knob.
"Are you here with me or for me?" he asks.
"There's a difference?"
"You know there is. There's a big difference,"
"Not to me. For me to be here with you. I have to be here for you. I've always been here, Vince. I'm your sister before I'm anything else. We have to trust each other,"
"How can I do that if I don't even know who the fuck it is I'm looking at, Vy? I need to know everything. Even if it puts me in danger. We promised one another that it would always come down to the two of us. Does that still stand?"
"After all this time, Vincent. That's the only thing that stands. Everything else around it is either gone or already on fire," I turn around and bow to him formally. "Now, if you'll excuse me alpha Wolfe. I have guests waiting for me back home. Let me know what you decide regarding my homies,"
For a moment, we just stare at one another before he nods and waves me off. I turn around and leave the study. No one is waiting for us outside and Gary's body is still where I left it. I take the helmet off the bike and slip it on.
"Alpha Violetta," I turn back to see a couple of girls looking up at the statue.
"Nice one," one of them says and approaches. "Ingrid Justice. Sigma sixteen oh two,"
"Annabelle Dyna. Sigma fifty-two," the other introduces herself. "You're Sigma zero one,"
"Sigma zero two," I correct her. "Sigma zero one was my mother. Once you're assigned a number it stays the same. Even after death,"
"We stand with you. Alpha Vince-"
"There is no me or Vince. There is just us. I'm not your alpha. He is. As acting Luna, I will follow orders the same way you do. However, my expertise differs from everyone else. It's why it looks different,"
"Then teach us," Annabelle steps forward. I remove the helmet and look them over.
"I have a friend that can use your help getting in," I glance behind them at the house. "She has the same skill set I learned when I left. Help me convince Vince that having her and her brother here is a good idea,"
"Are they safe to be around? The rogues we've encountered here-" Ingrid shakes her head. She moves toward the light coming off the statues and I see a scar across her face.
"What happened to you?" I ask tipping her head in my direction. A claw mark deep enough that her right eye no longer works.
"Liam," they both answer.
"Her brother," I take a step back. "Killed him with a little Beta named Perry Phurry,"
"Are you talking about Roman Vivaldi?" she asks. I nod. The two of them exchange smiles.
"Okay," they agree. "Where are they?"
"They'll be staying with me at the Clock Tower for a bit. Feel free to come around tomorrow night. I have work in-" It's four sixteen in the morning. "In a couple of hours,"
"Yes, ma'am," they both bow.
"Get some rest," I put the helmet on and climb onto Baby's bike. I watch the two of them go inside as I start up the bike. I take one last look at Gary and smile. "Good night, Alpha Garrison. Welcome to your new home,"

        "What?" I laugh.
