Jennie's POV
The night felt endless as I lay awake, my mind racing with plans and possibilities. The Revenants thought they had the upper hand, but they were wrong. This wasn't just business anymore-it was personal.
I sat up, rubbing my temples as I tried to focus. A soft knock at the door startled me. I knew who it was before I even opened it.
Lisa stood there, arms crossed, her expression unreadable. "You should be resting."
I smirked. "So should you."
She sighed, stepping inside and closing the door behind her. "I can't sleep."
I gestured for her to sit beside me on the edge of the bed. "Neither can I."
For a moment, there was silence between us, heavy with unspoken words. Then, Lisa reached for my hand, her grip firm but gentle.
"You're not facing this alone," she said, her voice softer than I'd ever heard it.
I looked at her, really looked at her, and something in my chest tightened. "I know."
Jisoo's POV
The warehouse was eerily quiet as we moved through the shadows. Rosé and I exchanged a glance before pressing forward, our guns drawn. We had intel that the Revenants were storing weapons here, but something felt off.
I tapped my earpiece. "Lisa, you seeing this?"
Her voice crackled through. "Yeah. Stay sharp."
Rosé nudged me, pointing to a set of crates stacked against the far wall. I nodded, moving toward them carefully. Just as I reached out to open one-
The lights flickered on.
Shouts erupted as masked figures emerged from the shadows, guns aimed directly at us.
"Ambush!" I shouted, diving behind cover as bullets rained down.
Rosé fired back, taking down two of them in quick succession. I cursed under my breath. This wasn't a supply run-it was a damn trap.
Lisa's POV
The second Jisoo's voice came through the comms, I was already running.
"Jennie, stay here," I ordered, grabbing my gun.
She grabbed my wrist before I could leave. "Like hell I will."
I wanted to argue, but I knew better. Instead, I nodded. "Then stay close."
We arrived at the warehouse in minutes, slipping through the chaos. I spotted Jisoo and Rosé pinned down behind a pile of crates.
"Cover me," I told Jennie before diving forward, firing off shots that took down three of the attackers. Jisoo and Rosé seized the opening, taking down the remaining enemies.
A heavy silence followed, broken only by our ragged breathing.
"That was too close," Jisoo muttered, reloading her gun.
Jennie knelt beside an unconscious enemy, gripping his collar. "We need answers."
Lisa crouched beside her. "Then let's wake him up."
Interrogation Room - Safehouse
The captured enemy groaned as he came to, tied to a chair in the dimly lit room. Jennie leaned against the wall, arms crossed, her expression cold.
Lisa cracked her knuckles. "Start talking."
The man spat at the ground. "You're all dead. The Revenants won't stop until they own this city."
Jennie stepped forward, tilting his chin up with the barrel of her gun. "We'll see about that."
He smirked. "You have no idea what's coming."
Jennie glanced at Lisa, and in that moment, they understood each other perfectly.
"Then let's make sure we're ready," Lisa said, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
